I liked everything in general, from the moment we arrived, the receptionist was attentive and explained everything to us as it should be. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great too. We had a fantastic view of the lake and the swimming pool right in front, which would have been great to enjoy if we had gone in the summer. The table service provided for dinner and breakfast was excellent, with the staff being very helpful and friendly. The food was also great and not expensive at all for the quality of it.

Let's say the only problem with the accommodation was the soundproofing, as we were close to the entrance of the building and could hear people talking at the entrance as they walked around. We also had the dining room right above us and we could sometimes hear tables and chairs being moved.

- This is about the area in general. Be cautious when setting your route to the property, as there are many side roads where it's easy to get lost. At night, try to stick to the N2 route. It's highly recommended to avoid N243 and N368, especially during bad weather or after dark.

Our stay at Montargil Monte Novo was simply superb. The spacious room offered an exceptional view of the garden and dam, providing a serene and tranquil ambiance. The peacefulness of the location was unparalleled, offering a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The added sense of security further contributed to our peace of mind, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy the beauty of our surroundings. Montargil Monte Novo's ideal location served as the perfect base for exploration, with ample opportunities for adventure nearby. Overall, our experience surpassed expectations in every way, leaving us feeling rejuvenated and already planning our return to this idyllic retreat.

Although we adored our room and the stunning view it offered, there were moments when we felt our privacy wasn't fully respected. Some guests seemed unaware of boundaries, prompting us to occasionally draw the curtains for a bit more seclusion.

Central heating was not turned on upon checkin (however, the A/C was effective). There were no outdoor plugs for EV charging, while charging using indoor conventional plugs is charged 10€ flat.

The pool, the facilities and the breakfast were great. The location was fantastic as well!

Everything was great! The breakfast was strange because we custom ordered, but people didn't seem to pay attention to what we ordered or the times they were supposed to be delivered. For example, breakfast was delivered 30 minutes early one day.

We loved everything. The room was super comfortable and the terrace with the view over the lake and pool were superb. The staff were welcoming and so friendly and professional. We loved everything about this beautiful hotel. The meals in the restaurant were wonderful, and the personal details made it that much more special. It was the perfect place to spend our anniversary ❤️

The villa with private pool was amazing! The views of the lake are breathtaking! The villa has spacious rooms and many large windows overlooking the beautiful terrace and pool. There was even a fireplace. Breakfast was brought to the villa, so we could enjoy it on our own private terrace: WONDERFUL stay!

The private pool and breakfast delivery were excellent

Sofas need updating as the seats were very hard and uncomfortable. AC didn’t really cope well in the bigger room and the kitchen didn’t have much surface area to prepare food.

Extremely nice staff, super relaxed and clean environment. Bedrooms were very comfortable and stylish, as well as the whole property. Great infinite-like pool space and direct access to the lake with the possibility of kayaking.

The lighting and isolation of the bathrooms could be slightly better.

An absolutely delightful stay! Staff, service, restaurant, everything was above expectations and I totally recommend Monte Novo if you want a restful and peaceful stay with all the comfort and amenities. The villa with the private swimming pool is just amazing, with all the plants surrounding you can enjoy just the sound of birds and the blue sky. Lovely! And don’t miss the dinner at the restaurant. Chef Miguel really knows how to make the best of local food with a touch of modern cuisine. don’t miss it!
