Could not be better located, and the building is stunning. Loved delta coffee available for breakfast.

I would appreciate more plant-based food for breakfast (there was essentially nothing apart from fruit and bread/jam). I am sure beans and mushrooms would not be more expensive to stock than bacon and sausage.

Bar closed, couldn't enjoy the evening, view and good weather at bar's balcony( was the main reason for choosing the hotel ), no kettle in bedroom to enjoy a nice cup of tea or coffee at least, either

This was amazing value for money - felt like a pricing mistake. Spacious, bright room with a view, comfortable beds and good shower. Breakfast was rather good too with some local cheeses and jams. It's right in the middle of the old town. Rooms are in a newly built annex, not in the historic building itself.

At this price, there is really nothing to complain. If the room rate wouldn't have been so low, I'd mention that the eggs and pancakes could have been made on order, that the breakfast area is a bit sterile and that the parking is a bit of a challenge. A thicker blanket would have been adequate given that it's not summer anymore. Instructions received via booking.com chat were confusing (old town closed for traffic on weekends, which wasn't the case) and owner did not respond to my inquiry about parking in the booking.com chat.

Very well located, close to all the historical center. The hotel is in an grand old mansion and the gentleman at the reception was really nice.

There is a bare feeling to the place, furniture in the room is very plain although well equipped, maybe that's because I stayed in a standard room.

The Montebelo Palace was fantastic! It is right in the heart of the historic center. Viseu is a beautiful town, and the Montebelo is perfectly located. It was a perfect stay. It was also very convenient to have secure parking.

An unusual place in that there are very well done sitting rooms sprinkled throughout. The renovation was excellent of everything is freshly painted. Viseu was an unexpected delight and there was a roof top bar (something we always look for) right across the street!

The breakfast was perfect, lovely staff and great location at the historical centre.. The room was spotless and cosy.

This is an exceptional address for lovers of culture and originality. This former monastery has been perfectly renovated and the setting is magnificent. The furniture is antique and splendid.
