This was the most western-style hotel we've stayed in in India so far. It was comfortable, and despite having a room on the street, it was relatively quiet. We could hear the street noise, but the glass was well insulated, so it became background noise. It was great to have a table and chairs so I could work, and the internet was surprisingly fast. Also, the shower was quite good - with hot water and decent water pressure. The metro station is only 50 meters away: it's cheaper than a tuktuk, very new and shiny, and very smooth and efficient.

The only thing was that the exhaust fan in the bathroom ran all the time, which just seems wasteful.

I had a really great stay at Hotel Ganga Maiya! The location is absolutely perfect, right near Lucknow Junction station and close to great shopping spots, making it super convenient whether you're traveling or just exploring the city. What really stood out to me was the staff, they were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help with anything I needed. From check-in to check-out, everything felt smooth and effortless. It’s not always easy to find such genuine hospitality, but they nailed it! For the price, I honestly wasn’t expecting much, but this hotel exceeded my expectations. The rooms were comfortable, the service was great, and the overall experience was way better than I anticipated. If you're looking for a budget-friendly stay in Lucknow without compromising on comfort and convenience, I’d definitely recommend this place. Would love to stay here again!

Room is very clean. Facilities are comparable to any good western hotels. Bed is very comfortable. Staffs are very polite and helpful. My room didn't have any window. So no daylight, same like many ibis hotel room. Breakfast is decent. They have in hotel kitchen and room delivery, but slightly pricey. I didn't try much, but menue looked good. Main markets and attractions are nearby, can be visited by Tuktuk, metro, or by walking. (Tuktuk driver, although not from hotel; can try to take you to their known shops, rather than where you wanted to visit.)

Often in India there's at least one thing wrong with the hotel room however this was not the case with Ganga Maiya. It was absolutely faultless. Its unusual to get all of the following right: Hot shower with good pressure Clean room with modern fixtures Comfy beds Quiet room with little outside street noise Room service was excellent - we enjoyed both breakfast and dinner in our room. Both were tasty and reasonably priced. Very professional receptionist and team. It's also within walking distance of the train station and main sites in Lucknow.

The Hotel was a "home away from home", and the staff responded promptly to all queries and requests. The location was excellent and it was possible to access major areas including Hazratgunj and Ameenabad with ease. The room was very good, having been renovated and furniture in the room was all that I needed and allowed maximum use of available space. The toilets were very clean, no less than a five star hotel. The location close to Husseinganj Metro station is also very good though I did not use it as the distance from Lucknow Charbagh was just 10 mins

Warm and friendly hotel on a good location, only a short walk from a metrostation. Rooms were clean, bathrooms (and the rest of the hotel) recently refurbished!

The place lacks a breakfast hall. Every morning breakfast is served in your room. You call reception, order and the food is brought up. In a small room like ours it wasn’t very comfortable. Our omelets were cold when they arrived and for an extra cup of coffee you had to call reception again …

Centrally located and quite recently renovated, the hotel and its staff exceeded expectations, check in was handled by Mr.Vishnu who was well informed and answered all my questions regarding tourist activities. Rooms were large enough and had an attached balcony, i didn't manage to catch breakfast. There is a metro station right across the hotel for convenient stops to all tourist attractions, else a Rapido is just always just minutes away

Wonderful stay! The hotel finished renovation 2 months ago and I felt going inside completely new room, and I felt they know what travellers need. It's hard to find the hotel like this: spotlessly crean, well-designed, good facilities, nice food (variety of cuisine, including Thai, Chinese, Western etc), and friendly staff when traveling in India. (Staying in 5 star hotels is completely a different story) I personally liked a bucket and low chair in the bathroom, and strong hot/water pressure. It was also a perfect stay with a good work space (good height desk/comfortable chair/ enough light over the desk/ wifi etc). "Perfect Location" means sometimes you are located in front of the busy street yet I had less noize issue and had a very good sleep! If I come back to Lucknow, I will definately stay here again for longer stay! Keep up the great work!

Great room at the back, the staff were really helpful. Room service was good and our room was a good size. We booked a room with balcony but got one at the back without but kept it as it was quieter. Metro is just across the road and most autorickshaw drivers low it or at least the metro stop name.

Shame it did not have a restaurant but places v near by to eat if you don’t want to travel to.

On this trip I have stayed in 4 hotels in India, all about the same price range. This was the best by far. Plus when they noticed I was not feeling well. they volunteered to arrange a doctors visit. Accompanied me and helped guide through process, paying charges and for prescriptions. I expected this all to be added to my hotel bill. It wasn't! Manager said it was all on them as I was their guest.

Nothing is perfect, but I don't remember imperfections.
