Nice spacious comfy room. We asked for a late check out as we had a 8pm bus and they allowed us to check out at 4pm.

Breakfast was quite limited for western tastes but there were plenty of South Indian dishes available (served as buffet) our room (501) was at the end of top floor which had metal staircase(externally) which took you to a higher viewpoint on the building . This was really noisy within the room. We did have an issue with our bank card details being compromised ahead of our visit which led to a SCAM call from someone purporting to be from our Bank, we also had a message via booking.com to make advance payment ( which we didn’t) on checking other reviews someone else from the UK had this happen to them …. Just be wary

The hotel is quiet and one can relax in the garden or lobby. Housekeeping is very efficient. The restaurant has generous buffet options in the evenings and on weekends. The rooftop terraces are a bonus - especially in the early morning and evening when it's cooler. One very special point to mention is that the hotel management generously gave its support to a local education project - this was greatly appreciated by the organisation in question and very much to the hotel's credit. A big "thank you" to the management.

The wifi on the fifth floor is almost unusable - the signal is very weak and it cuts out very quickly so that one has to log in over and over again. I went down to the lobby when I wanted to access the wifi network.

Overall good experience. Staff were kind and considerate. Ask for help and they are willing to provide anytime. Being a woman solo traveller safety standards were 200% guaranteed. The only drawback it’s a bit far from Meenakshi Amman Temple. Both cabs and autos charge 150 rupees starting for one way, for me they charged 250 sensing that I could afford. Please be careful with these fares. Even cab drivers ask for more 50 rupees apart from what amount is shown in the Ola booking trip. Otherwise highly recommended place for family and solo travellers. Awesome breakfast which is complimentary during your stay.

Can concentrate on improving Food when ordering for lunch and dinner. Though the quality is good, taste wise needs a little improvement for the price.

We stayed at JC Residency in late March. The receptionists were kind and helpful, and our room was large and comfortable, with a large bed, a refrigerator, safe, wardrobe with hangers and shelves, bedside tables and lights, lounge sofa and table, desk and chair, hot water pot and tea items, heavy curtains, a luggage rack, and a chest where we placed our second pack. (I thought the mattress was too soft, but then, I prefer a firm mattress.) Daily room cleaning. 2 bottles of water a day. The internet was a little troublesome, as you need to reenter the password every time you leave and then return to your room. The bathroom was a good size. The restaurant is small and quickly becomes crowded and noisy. This is a shame, as the breakfast buffet is well done and extensive.

We made our reservation through Booking.com, and it was confirmed that we would pay upon our arrival. However, we kept getting emails, text messages, whatsapp messages, and even messages via booking.com threatening that our reservation would be cancelled if we didn’t immediately confirm our credit card information. (The last one came via whatsapp from “Yoga Every day by HaBuild”.) I contacted the hotel via their official website a few times, and was told that our reservation was confirmed and that we did not need to do anything further. I hope the hotel and booking.com can take care of this issue.

The Staff: Helpful, professional, and courteous. Ms. Varsha and her colleague Lakshmi at the reception ensured a smooth check-in process, even accommodating our early arrival. Mr. Iruthayaraj, the security staff, was extremely helpful with vehicle movements and greeted us with a warm and welcoming smile. The Ambience: The hotel exudes a traditional charm while offering all modern comforts. The Food: The breakfast spread was impressive, offering a good variety of options. The Outcome: Our family thoroughly enjoyed the stay, making this hotel our top choice for future visits to Madurai.

We had a comfortable stay at JC Residency Madurai. The check-in/check-out process was smooth. The front desk staff especially Harsha was really helpful. We got a few tips from her on what we should see around Madurai during our stay. Sightseeing was arranged by the hotel's travel desk and we got a comfortable car and a knowledgeable driver which made our whole travel experience worthwhile. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The breakfast spread was huge and the food tasted delicious. The restaurant staff were courteous, and polite. The hotel is big, not our usual style , so not easy to give an accurate rating. The staff are friendly and helpful. Varsha did henna painting on my wife and she was kind, personable and professional. Vennila was very attentive in the dinning room. The food was good, but nothing was especially memorable. The pool was really nice and the gentleman (sorry I don’t know how to spell his name), who gives swimming lessons to local children and adults a couple of hours a day, was a special person who spoke to us a lot and taught us things about Indian life and culture.

This is a large hotel situated in a relatively quiet location. The room was spacious and had plenty of space to put our belongings. It was comfortable and clean. The reception staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was good and varied.

Although the room has a large window, it feels very dark needing the lights on most of the time. The A/C is the centralised type. After two full days the room never really got cool. I wouldn't want to be there in the summer! The breakfast area seems a little chaotic. There isn't enough room for the numbers of people and not enough staff. The driver reported that the driver accommodation was very dirty.

The room was and very spacious and super clean (Like any 5-star hotels). I appreciated the decor; the intricate woodwork created a cozy atmosphere, making it truly exceptional compared to other hotels. However, the buffet breakfast was typical of standard hotels (Good). The staff were very friendly and cooperative.

1.During my weekend stay, I noticed that the same buffet items were repeated for lunch and dinner, which was quite disappointing. 2. A Spa in the hotel would have been a good idea and relaxing spot. 3. They didn't provide moisturizer and hair conditioner in the bathroom.

This is a great hotel with great staff! The front desk staff were so helpful and gave us some amazing tips for our stay in Madurai. When we arrived there was a lovely lady behind reception who had some henna on her so she did some designs on my wife’s hand, which was a lovely little touch. They also have recommended Tuk Tuk drivers outside the hotel and they helped negotiate a price for the whole evening, where the driver waited for us wherever we went, for a great price. This hotel is located in a great place too!
