Its was really clean and tidy the staff was friendly and helpful i liked everything at that place the breakfast was also really good and there where a lot of options.

The only thing that i didnt like was that if you want to travel around there you either need a car or have to take a taxi bc theres not much to see if you walk, only some shops and a 7 Eleven.

If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place. It's located middle of nowhere (which might get boring if you stay long time), but there is small town within short walk: 7eleven, few restaurants and massage places nearby. You need Taxi to go to Cha Am or Hua Hin (I recommend Grab, it worked well). Staff is super friendly. Great breakfast. Pool area was not crowded at any time even there were many guests in the hotel. Great room with pool access and great bed to sleep. No bugs etc. gross.

There is no beach, just artificial small area with sand and few sun beds. Made us miss the sea although it's located by the sea. Very expensive and overpriced, beer from the pool bar 280 thb. Mainly full of Asian tourists who take lots of photos for hours, it was annoying. We were 2 adults and one child - a bit odd that 11 year old didn't get own bed, we all slept in the same bed. It was big enough, but we were not given any other option.

Hotel is very beautiful and clean. Staff was super friendly and overall feeling in resort is relaxed. Location is quite good close to small village and easy 30mins taxi ride to HuaHin. Breakfast is very good.

Pool was freezing cold and it was not comfortable at all for swimming. There is no beach and area by the sea was damaged by the monsoon storms. It looks terrible and is disturbing when everything else is very nice in the hotel. Renovation was progressing very slowly. Room is quite noisy and there is not privacy in the room's outdoor area(terrace). Restaurants are very very expensive in relation to street prices in Thailand.

We recently stayed at this stunning hotel, and it was an absolutely perfect experience from start to finish! The staff were truly amazing – warm, attentive and always going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a delightful welcome drink, which set the tone for a truly relaxing and luxurious stay. The breakfast was a highlight – much variety and every dish was fresh and delicious, catering to all tastes and preferences. Our villa was nothing short of fantastic – spacious, beautifully designed and offering a private pool that was simply heavenly. It felt like our own little paradise. Honestly, we have nothing to complain about. Everything was flawless and we can’t wait to return! If you’re looking for a memorable getaway, this hotel is the perfect choice.

Canadian family of four, needing a break (and fresh air) from Bangkok. We had a wonderful time at the Vala and felt welcomed from the second we arrived. I had sent a text ahead of time indicating that I had to follow a very complicated and strict medical diet due to cancer complications. The minute we arrived to our room, a staff member (P’Jib) from the restaurant came to see us and seek details about the diet. I was told that they would absolutely accommodate and they did, for 3 meals a day during the entire stay. The food was wonderful and I felt welcomed by all staff the entire time. To think that I had almost cancelled the trip because of this strict diet, assuming that the hotel would not want or be able to cater to this added complications. This place is a gem, so is P’Jib (I hope I am spelling her name correctly!) and all the staff at the restaurant, the reception desk and the cleaning crew. My only regret is that I wasn’t able to see P’Jib on our final day there in order to hug her one more time and let her know how much her kindness meant to me, (it was more than about the great food), and that her level of empathy for the difficult health journey I was on had been a breath of fresh air.

The villa is great, the services with it are great. The staff come to clean up and tidy up in the morning and then come back in the evening for a turn down service with a little more tidying up and cleaning. It was great!

Walking from the villa to the beach had a small section that was not cleaned up for some odd reason, it's a small stretch of 2 meters that looks like it a big bunch of broken shells. And the steps going down to the sea need a bit of maintenance.

New build to a high standard, large rooms, comfortable beds, perfect size - big enough you don't feel like your wine of the 5 people staying there but not too big as to become impersonal. The staff was amazing, attentive, human - not transactional like you would have in a cookie cutter 5 star chain experience. My daughter had some mild food poisoning from before we came to stay and everyone was extremely helpful, she got little gifts from the staff to cheer her up (Thank you Kat and Jib especially, but really everyone was amazing, from the bar staff to room service!)

Some facilities were still under construction. It's also not the place if you want to be in the middle of things. There's plenty of fine local options but being mobile really opens up the location. We had a car so driving 10' north got us Cha-am beach and south Hua Hin town centre.

A beautiful, small and friendly hotel, ideal for relaxing and enjoying the local food. The pool villa we stayed in was superb, clean, well appointed and with a sea view. We also viewed the standard rooms which were large with terraces or balconies. Happy hour was fun and the breakfast was extensive and delicious as was the restaurant food. All the swimming pools were large and inviting. Amenities like the gym and exercise classes were good as was a little trip to the local heritage houses and small farm. A memorable stay made all the more pleasant by the welcome and friendliness of the staff. The Land of Smiles indeed!

Erosion of the local beach meant a 15 minute walk (or buggy ride) along the coast to a long beautiful, quiet sandy beach.
