My stay at La Maison de Caroline in Alba Iulia was absolutely wonderful. My room was spacious, elegantly furnished, and had a warm, cozy atmosphere. The perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort made my stay especially enjoyable. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable – ideal for a restful night. The hotel is perfectly located in the historic center, allowing me to explore the city easily on foot. I was particularly impressed by the friendly and attentive staff, who took care of everything and made my stay even more special. The breakfast was also excellent – fresh, varied, and prepared with great care. A truly exceptional place to stay!

We decided to make a one night stop in our journey back home to Bucharest as it was getting late. We called in advance to check if the restaurant is opened and if we could order anything when we arrive, about one hour before the closing time of the restaurant. When we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly staff member who also took us to our table and took our order. Although we were alone in the restaurant, everything from the menu was available and let me tell you, the dishes were spectacular, for a very modest price. The room and bathroom were big, clean, the bed comfortable. The next morning we had breakfast and let me tell you, after 3 weeks of staying in various place in Europe, this was the best breakfast we had. The parking was full when we arrived, but there are enough parking spaces on the street. We'll return for sure when we are in the are, even if just for the food.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

Location is great - a walking distance to the Carolina Citadel. Parking was free during weekend on the street. The inside parking is very narrow. Room was spacious and generally clean. Bathroom big and clean with a few missed spots but not to complain. Bed was big for two, mattress was hard and pillow the same. Breakfast was great - really varied. Staff was very helpful and very polite.

Mattress and pillow but that is subjective.

A cozy, neat hotel in a quiet town, there is parking, the famous Julia Alba fortress is a 10-minute walk away, there is a restaurant where you can have dinner and breakfast. Quiet, pleasant, very cozy, friendly staff, nice room.

Subjectively, pillows and a mattress (soft) did not suit me, but this is my personal perception. The shower was leaking in the bathroom. All these are minor things, fixable. Overall a great place, I recommend it.

The staff was extraordinary! They did their best to make our stay more comfortable, as we were travelling with our 1 and a half and 4 year-olds and their meals are always difficult in hotels. A big "Thank you" to the entire staff, their friendliness made us feel truly welcome. The apartment was very spacious, having 2 rooms and a bathroom, having nice noise insulation and air conditioning. The true highlight of our stay were the meals! Excellent a la carte restaurant, with excellent food. Preferred to eat there instead of in the city, had lunch on the first day because we were hungry and we liked it so much that we also had dinner there as well and breakfast the next day 🤠 Thank you all for giving us a great family experience!

Minor things for us: had to unplug the minibar as it was audible at night and average bathroom ventilation. Also it's a pretty old building, and some walls need small repairs, but nothing serious overall.

Very nice and helpful staff, modern amneties combined with a classic look, good breakfast, parking on property grounds or on the street arranged by the property, very quiet area (hear your thoughts level).

Not neccesarily a dislike (depends on your wants and needs), but the top floor rooms have a "french window" rather than a balcony.

We liked everything there: big room, great location, easy walk to places of interest, very good breakfast food with a great variety of choices and very, very nice and friendly stuff.

The food ordered in the restaurant- didn’t find it very tasty, not too many choices and a bit too pricey for what it offers, could be improved and maybe add more traditional dishes. But this is just a personal opinion though.

Beautiful building, very close to the city center. I liked the attention to detail for decorations, and the overall atmosphere felt very cosy and relaxed. I only stayed for one night but could definitely see myself spending a more lengthy vacation there. The people were very nice and friendly. The breakfast was delicious, with quite a lot of options for all tastes. Having parking spaces inside the yard is always a nice bonus.

Suite was a good size room with lots of space. Breakfast was good and had a variety of foods. Omelets or fried eggs was offered as a warm dish. Staff was very friendly and spoke English. The fortress is about a 10 minute walk from the location and there is a grocery store about the same distance away. It was a good value for the money.

There were stains on the chairs and couches that should be cleaned.

The personnel was so friendly and welcoming, the location central and the price-quality ratio excellent. Would love to go again 🫶
