The location is excellent, with free parking right in front (only a few dozen spots, but there was availability when we arrived). Breakfast and coffee were good, and the room was clean and warm (with A/C available if needed). Check-in and check-out were super fast. We arrived close to midnight though. The lobby and restaurant look nice. Overall, unbeatable value for money.

Don’t expect luxury. We booked just before midnight, when there was very limited availability in Alba Iulia. Although our expectations were low due to the hotel’s rating, it actually exceeded them. The doors definitely need replacement or refurbishment, and the bathrooms and some furniture could use repairs. However, for a one-night stay, this didn’t bother us too much. There were signs of ongoing refurbishment throughout the hotel, so conditions may improve in the near future.

I'm staying here every time I'm in Alba Iulia because of the perfect location(near fortress). Decent or great conditions, depending on the room you get (updated or not). Apparently things are improving, since breakfast was better, the elevators updated and it looked much cleaner, so I will definetly return.

This time we received not updated rooms and the mattress was not quite my ray of sunshine, but it was ok (I'm just fastidious when it comes to mattresses).

The location was perfect and the room comfortable enough.

Unfortunately, probably because it's an old communist building, there are some hygiene issues with little bugs. They are probably coming in through broken pipes in the bathroom. There were also cobwebs on the ceiling. Big issues with the two elevators too - one is very old and a safety hazard, but the new one gets stuck even more often than the old one, according to the mechanic we saw working on it. One customer even got stuck inside. :(

The hotel is located across the street from the entrance to the citadel, the tourist area. Although the exterior looks outdated, the interior is beautifully furnished with good quality furniture. The breakfast is diversified, local products of good quality

The receptionists are not very welcoming, a bit formal. In the chamber there is no info regarding the places to visit in the city or nearby

Hotel location could not be better. Got a room with a view towards the fortress. Breakfast was good. Any minus was overcome by a very good price offer.

Rooms and hotel need some serious refurbishing. Seems it;s stuck in a different era. Nevertheless this is reflected in the room price. Doors and rooms don't offer any soundproofing. Fridge in room making loud noises. Parking lot was full.

The location, the amazing view from the window (8th floor) over the Cetate; the staff; the breakfast; the elegant restaurant

The hotel needs some improvement; it looks like 30 years ago: the bathrooms, the elevators a.s.o. are old. The elevator (the mechanism) was very noisy during the evening and night; the mattresses need to be changed for a comfortable sleep

The location was close to all the major points of interest.

The very small parking space and no interest from the staff to help with that. No hair dryer in the bathroom.

The view from the room, we had a splendid view of the Alba Carolina citadel that is right next to the hotel. It was clean in the room and in the hotel. We ate dinner and the food was delicious. Also the breakfast was very good. The staff was very nice and welcoming.

You feel like you go back in time 30 or 40 years and it needs a good renovation for it to come back in this century. But all in all it was better then aspected.

The location is amazing, it is one minute from the center. The hotel is very interesting, it is an old communist hotel with an interesting architecture. The view is amazing, I don't think you can get better in Alba Iulia.

Not very clean. I don't know why they tought it would be a good idea to have this Roman theme which is a kitsch. It would be better to keep it as it was initially. The check-in procedure is quite slow. They are writing everything manually and sometimes they are not syncronized with Booking.

The location can't be beat. And our room had a view of the citadel that was amazing! The beds were comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was great and plentiful.

The light burned out in one of the bathrooms. There was a small piece of trash on the floor. The hotel is a little tired.
