Travelling as a family with 6 adults and 3 children we had booked 3 budget double rooms and 1 deluxe double room. On arrival, we were shown around and given 3 deluxe double rooms, which better suited our group. The rooms were all large, comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. The hotel has it's own restaurant, but being in central Gheorgheni, there were several options available within a short walk.

The hotel has no parking of its own, but this is made clear in the listing details, and street parking spaces were available on the road opposite.

The room was clean and very big, suitable for a family, with a double bed and 2 single beds. The restaurant is on the basement, looks like a old wine cellar and the food was very tasty and big portions. We had the Rubin platter and we really enjoyed it ( big enought for 2 adults and 1 children) They offer breakfast buffet but we skipped this as we were still recovering after the tasty dinner 😄 The staff was very friendly.

The town looks like after war, and it seems like after an army of tanks just marched all over the place. All the roads are damaged, a lot of dust everywhere and the car suspension did not enjoyed at all the trip.

Easy to find on the main square with parking directly in front. High-ceiling room made it feel very spacious. Nicely decorated bathroom. Good meals in the bar/restaurant on the ground floor and breakfast buffet in the cellars below. I don't speak Romanian and some staff did not know English but we managed to communicate and everyone was helpful. The place has a quirky atmosphere, which I enjoyed.

A little more choice at breakast would have been nice, but it was OK.

The location was perfecf, the hotel is on the main square. The parking was free of charge right in front of the hotel. We could check out at noon, which was very convenient. The lady at the reception (her name is Borbala..) was extremely friendly. We were happy with the small fridge in the room.

We would have enjoyed a water cattle or a coffee machine in the room.

Location is very good, the family room was very big. It was a cosy stay and more than enough room for a family with 3 children or 4 younger ones. it was an ok stay for a few nights. It has a good fridge.

We could not reduce the heat as the heater meter was broken, so it was very very hot in the room. The cabin shower was leaking.

The room and specifically the bathroom was very spacious, very clean and had everything in place. The stuff was friendly and resolved all our requests in a timely manner.

Initially, our room smelled as is someone previously smoked. Per our requests, they changed the room and the new one was fine yet you could still smell cigarettes in some areas, mostly because it is allowed to smell at the hotel entry. The furniture is quite old, the bed mattress is to be changed as well.

- The extremely helpful, smiley and nice lady on the reception! The hotel should be proud to have her there! - We weren’t with our dog, but other guests were, so it is just great the hotel is pet friendly! - Definitely recommend the restaurant. They have huge meals and are very professional also. Highly recommend the homemade lemonade!

- We were extra changed as we wanted a double bed instead of two single beds, but at the end we receive two single beds pushed together in a triple room. So there was absolutely no point of the extra money we paid - we being two only we’re not using the extra space and we could push the two single beds on our own if that was the point. - I smashed a cockroach in the hall, but didn’t see any others so may be it got lost :D - It would be great if they had an AC in the room and constant hot water pressure in the bath too.

First time in Gheorgheni, but had a very good impression. The room was clean and tidy, service was excellent 👍 The location is good, in the centre of the city with free parking in front. All amenities nearby, the market is in walking distance.

Great location in the center of this town. The room was spacious Breakfast was a good value. Parking was conveniently located just in front of the building.

A little bit noisy at night from the cars passing by. No Air Conditioning, but it was cool enough at night

Breakfast was fine, eggs, coffee, in a continental style. I was there to watch two hockey games so this was a trip with a purpose. Gheorgheni, is a Romanian countryside town that is very quiet. I walked around the town in all directions throughout my stay and felt safe. The hotel was clean, water was warm for showering. My one observation is that unlike in North America where smoking is not permitted on the premises of hotels, restaurants etc. etc. Here it is allowed or tolerated, not sure what one is to be used to define it. Since the restaurant on the main floor allows people to smoke it travels up to the hotel rooms via the hallways. I am not sure if there are even any restriction against smoking in the rooms, mine smelled like a smoking room. So, if this bothers you take that into consideration. But, I am not sure you would find any difference at any other hotels. In Romania they still smoke like it is the cure for cancer.
