location was perfect for visiting Monasteries. Parking was easy. Rooms were spacious. Food in restaurant was very good

Bathroom floors and shower very slippery when wet. With 2 night stay I understand sheets are not changed, only towels were replaced. I think when housekeeping is in the room, they should at least make the bed and straighten the pillows. It does not take much time and would certainly look better when returning to room after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast was good, but some fruit would be a nice addition.

- Breakfast starts quite late, at 8 am. If you are traveling for business and need to leave early it is very inconvenient. - No elevator so if you have lugagge you have to carry it up the stairs.

The location from where you can make a monastery tour

The amenities from the room were not really working, the refrigerator was making an interesting noise during the night which we solved by removing the plug from the socket. The hairdryer was not working and took like 45 minutes to get another one in the room. There was no elevator which I find not usual for a 4* hotel especially when you have 2 large trolley. The staff in the restaurant seemed a little lost and not very sure about what they have in the menu. The breakfast was not great but at a limit acceptable.

The staff at check in was really helpful and pleasant. In the dining room it was a bit difficult due to the language barrier. The rooms were nice sized and the bed very comfy. The room had ample plugs and convenient free parking. Breakfast was good and the room was quiet. If your in Gura Humorului to visit the painted monasteries you couldn't ask for a more convenient location.

The staff in the restaurant could have been more helpful. Was dealing with food allergies and even using Google translate they just really didn't want to help.

Our purpose was to visit famous panted monasteries: Moldovita, Voronet, Sucevita and Humor. The Buchenland hotel was out base for two day survey. Room was big and clean, breakfast was good, food in the evening in the hotel restaurant was tasty. So, we can recommend the place. Hotel has a private parking place.

Starting with the location, Hotel Buchenland is located in city center, on a back street, offering a very quiet stay. The room was pretty well soundproofed and it was very quiet during our stay. The staff was nice, helpful and polite, giving a very professional feeling. The room was very clean and very cozy, also spacious and warm. Cleaning was done everyday and it was done well. The bed was large and very confortable, pillows were great. The breakfast was diverse enough for us and the food was good. The restaurant is excellent and has great pricing, we recommend it for lunch/dinner. The hotel offers an entertainment room for its guests. Parking was available.

Water pressure was pretty weak sometimes. We would've liked to be able to set the room temperature ourselves, not through a call to the reception.

Nice clean rooms and decent breakfast. I liked that they had ”communal balconies” on upper floors. Even if you don’t have one with your room, you can still relax on one e few steps out of your room. I had dinner at the hotel restaurant on both nights I stayed there and it matches the hotel in price/quality ratio.

The hotel is centrally located. There is a good-sized car park at the rear which can also be accessed from the back of the hotel as well as the front. This is a big bonus because parking on the street looks very difficult. Rooms are modern and comfortable. The beds which are super comfortable get particular praise. Breakfast is a buffet style arrangement. Quite a good selection of food the first day, less so on the second day which we found a little disappointing. We also had dinner here both nights. Food excellent on the first evening, we also had a late lunch in the outside terrace on our second day that again was good. The portions were generous with all the meals we experienced. Having walked around the area, we think this smaller hotel is probably the best option in town.

Hotel position is easier to find with Sat Nav because its precise location is down a narrow one-way street back from the main road. Rooms are quite small compared to others we experienced during our trip. On our second night there was a mix up with the meal order that wasn’t particularly well handled by the staff.

Very comfortable and pretty spacious room, clean, a great bed and a nice balcony. Quiet and in a central area.

Maybe just the noise the bathroom ventilation made and the fact the air conditioning was right in our heads so couldn't use it at night.

Spotlessly clean, balcony view, nce outdoor restaurant and great breakfast. GH is a nondescrpt town which is only worth visiting in order to have a base to tour the painted monasteries. This is the best amd most comfotable place to stay and amazing value.
