The best thing about this accomodation was Nilda and her mom. They made us feel so welcome and were a great source if information about a country we didn't know an didn't speak the language. Nildas English is excellent. We felt right at home here. The rooms are basic but clean enough, and the beds were comfortable. The shower waterpressure was low, but there was hot water. The kitchen looked well equipped but we never used it, since Nilda gave so many tips for good restsurants. Easy to walk all around the city from here.

The road is very loud and the rooms are hot. Luckily there is a fan and we had very few power cuts.

I had a wonderful stay at Casa de Férias in São Tomé! This charming guesthouse is the perfect place for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the island's natural beauty. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, offering a cozy home-away-from-home vibe. The peaceful surroundings and lush greenery made it an ideal spot to unwind. The owner, Nilda, is a genuinely nice and friendly lady who is very helpful. She coordinated with a money changer for our Euros to Dobras at a better exchange rate than anyone else. Our room was simple but clean and comfortable. The shared bathroom was also very clean. Free street parking and strong Wifi are two pluses. We used this casa as our base to explore São Tomé and it was perfect. Lots of great restaurants in town and easy to explore the north, central and southern sections of the island from here.

Sunday church service was loud and boisterous... bring earplugs if you don't want to wake up early! Mosquitoes found their way into our room so we had to use the mosquito net at night when sleeping. There are water cuts from the city but if that happens, there are lots of water bottles that you use to take a shower.

Our host Nilda was wonderful, very welcoming and happy to help us arrange a rental car and provide information. It was a great central location to start exploring the island and to walk around the city. We truly enjoyed the dinners that Dona Fernanda prepared for us on request, delicious! We had asked for an airport pickup (10€) in advance and someone was waiting for us with a sign when we left the airport. Even though the city occasionally has power/water cut, the host was well prepared and accomodating and backup water and a generator helped to overcome these issues. The place had a very homely atmosphere thanks to dona Nilda and dona Fernanda and we would happily stay with them again.

As one can expect from a place in the city, there was some noise from the roads and church but it saved us the morning wake up alarm.

The place is basic, but very clean and the landlady will do anything possible to accommodate you. For the money it is very good value. Central location, too. The airport service was supposed to be free, but we each had to pay 10€ for the ride. Otherwise it is okay, there are mosquito nets above beds. Running water, even hot shower.

It was okay for the price. The bed was a bit tired, but everything was clean. Good WiFi, too.

The location, communication, kindness of the owner and her mother who were always ready to help if needed. Nilda's mother cooked delicious vegetarian food for me. I highly recommend this place in São Tomé!!

Nothing big but the shared bathroom has a bit of locking issues and sometimes the water stops however, an arrangement is made with filled water bottles.

I stayed for 8 nights and relaxed here. Very comfortable home stay style accommodation close to city center. Owner is very helpful.

It’s not because of this accommodation but mosquitoes in this island are very aggressive. Living room is cozy but I have to escape into mosquito net in the room after sunset.

The rooms and beds are fine, shared complete bathroom. The location is very good, close to many city spots by walk. The lady in charge of the place is very very nice and welcoming! It’s a perfect place to stay for the first night/s in the city since it is close to everything and the are is calm.

The bed of one of the rooms was a bit small for two people, but it was comfortable anyway.

Super friendly owner. she helped me a lot with arranging my travels around the place. also contacted a person offering the car rental. place was super clean. location on Google maps is correct - corner house. Room was hot but u get a fan so basically- getting what u paid for- no complaints. Mosquitoes are around so make sure you use the mosquito net over your bed properly! Definitely worth the money. would stay there again!
