The location is about 4-8 minutes walk from the airport, depending on where you exit. It is located across the highway and you must use the overpass to cross. 7/11 is less than 1 minute away. The hostel has space theme as you can see by the pictures. My room had 4 capsules inside and a locker to keep your stuff. There is an adjustable light for reading as well as an internal fan, and you can close the plastic “capsule doors” so you are in nearly complete darkness (except for some faint light leaks between the plastic framing of the “space capsule.”) The capsule has a TV as well but I didn’t use. The wifi is intense and fast and they have multiple routers on each floor. Very strong signal. There are 2, yes 2 internal USB plugs in the capsule: one is fast charge, and one normal. That is cool! The free towels were really soft and soap and shampoo is provided in the showers. The room air conditioner was blasted at 23°C and that was really great considering the heat of Bangkok. I checked in at 12:30am and it was no problem because they have 24 hour front desk staff. The place is modern and has newer facilities. I stayed here in January 5, 2024. Shower water pressure was outstanding. There is free coffee and ovaltine in the lobby.

I would stay here again as it is so close to the airport. If you do not book online; the price is a little cheaper.

There is not clear instructions how to get to hotel from airport. I got scammed on the way by a guide and taxi driver who took me around the airport.

It was my first time sleeping in a pod. It was nice and private, unlike traditional hostel bunks where you had almost no privacy, or at best a little curtain. It's also right next to the airport - literally 10-15 minutes walk - so if you have an early flight from Don Mueang it's a lifesaver. Even if you come in from Suvarnabhumi there is a direct shuttle bus between the airports (as long as you can show a flight ticket from the other airport). There is a 7-11 across the road, so one can buy some basic necessities. Staff are helpful and were willing to help print some important documents for me, even at 11PM.

There aren't really a lot of things to do in that area. No nice restaurants, malls, or things like that. There also isn't a nice straight bus or train to get to the heart of Bangkok. You need around 3 different trains and an hour to get to the malls. The pods had USB ports that you can use for charging, but no power outlet. So you can't charge a laptop or something inside the pod, only things you can directly charge by USB type A. There are outlets in the common area though. Lastly, my pod still had the cover on the smoke detector🙈

We are well traveled, hence we expect a certain level of comfort, but sometimes the quirks of hostels make things memorable in unexpected ways. The hostel vibe was very positive. The fact that the room size was good and the staff was amazing, definitely speaks to the place’s quality. Location: right next to Don Mueang Airport, which can be easily reached by foot. Bonus Point: Mandala Massage Studio is right across the street. We thoroughly enjoyed a Thai massage after our long-haul flight.

Noise: The rooms didn't provide much shelter from the sounds of neighbors. Since this hostels was fairly busy, the sound from other guests or the common areas did seep in. Smell: As for the bathroom smelling like pie—well, that’s certainly a unique touch! Maybe it was a mix-up with the air fresheners, or perhaps the plumbing had its own flavor? It’s one of those funny little details that could have been a bit jarring at the time but might make for a funny story later.

Proximity to the airport and cost. I also felt very secure in the capsule, and was never worried about my safety or the safety of my belongings. The capsule was well air conditioned, spacious, and had a usb plug inside as well. The check-in and check-out process was easy and a towel was provided for the showers. The bathrooms were standard and clean.

The mattress in the capsules is more like a foam pad, so you feel the hard plastic shell of the capsule which is not super comfortable. It also lets light in at night and the room stays lit so you never are really in darkness. It is also not soundproof at all so when people come in throughout the night and are loud you will get woken up if you are a light sleeper.

I arrived late at night after arriving at Don Mueang Airport. The hostel sent me very details instructions on how to reach the location on foot from the airport. The staff member who helped me (and another traveller from the same flight) check in was very helpful. The hostel was a very comfortable temperature, which was a great relief when it was so hot and humidity outside. The capsules are very convenient, with adjustable lights (colours and brightness) and of course allow for much more privacy than a regular hostel. The bed was also very comfortable. For the price, this place was amazing.

The only downside was that I was on the 3rd or 4th floor and there was no lift, so it might not be ideal for travellers with large suitcases who don't want to leave them at reception during their stay.

After reading certain comments about the noise I was afraid I couldn’t sleep at all because I’m a light sleeper. The room was facing the main road and indeed it was very noisy. But with some earplugs I was able to sleep throughout the whole night. Where the doors of the capsule are closed you have all the space for yourself, total privacy.

In the room there is plenty of electric sockets but inside the capsule there are only two usb-a outlets. I had to charge several devices, all on usb-c and I didn’t want to leave them in the room and go sleep in the capsule. I think there should be at least one usb-c outlet inside the capsules.

The Space Station Hostel was a perfect solution for an overnight layover in Don Muang (DMK) airport. First the location, it is great! Just in front of the airport. To get there, the best is to follow the instructions provided by the Hotel than to follow the map since you need to cross the road with one of those giant complex multilevel highway/train systems. So the instructions were great, plus. Also one thing convenient about location was that there is a 7-Eleven just by the door. About the spice itself, the capsule is small and comfortable, just seen the photos. The duvet was extremely good. The provider towel was also good. The shower was excellent, and everything very clean. And the staff was super kind. I had read that you needed a deposit for the key and you do, but you can leave other currency and even identification documents if you do not have THB which is likely you are doing an overnight layover.

Everything was perfect, but for the sake of pointing out something I would say that they could make the AC temperature the same across the whole building. When I went to the room, the AC was blasting and in my capsule it was 19°. But the staff kindly changed it to more normal temperature of 22. I think this is more of a culture thing where in Thailand it’s considered luxury to have the buildings freezing cold inside. It obviously does not make sense because the comfort temperature are scientifically proven and terms of energy consumption is just dumb.

Perfect space pod for the night before my early morning flight. Such a cool place! The guy on reception was so lovely and I felt welcomed, he spoke so softly when showing you around incase people were sleeping. Arriving late isn't an issue as they have someone on reception 24/7 & as I arrived at 11pm and had to leave at 6:30am this was perfect for me for a night before a flight, for £7 (430 thai baht) it is honestly amazing! I had the 4 bedroom and everyone was so quiet. Plus my pictures had everyone like wow this is so cool where is this place?! Call me a geek but I loved it. You can charge your phone change the aircon levels as well as have different coloured lighting, you can lock yourself in & lock your locker too... showers and facilities were great and it was nice and hot. The hostel was extremely quiet and I literally slept like a log. It was comfy and clean and well maintained. I was so impressed with this for the price I paid. When you leave the airport you walk towards the train station to enter the airport (go across the bridge) it was 5 min walk then a bit of a walk to terminal 1 (International departures) but was still fine and doable. 100% would recommend staying here.

Mattress is a little thin but I slept like a log! You feel so secure inside them and they're not claustrophobic.

Absolutely loved this stay! Me and my boyfriend booked this hotel as we had a flight landing late so wanted to check in somewhere close. It took 5 mins to walk from the airport. I would come back to this hotel to stay for longer to explore Bangkok!! Amazing staff, free coffee and little biscuits in the lobby. Free water upon arrival and a fresh towel, smelt lovely and clean. The capsule is really spacious and the pillow and quilt is super comfy, I honestly wish we could have stayed another night because I was living my best space life!!

Could do with some new hooks on the bathroom shower doors to hang up towels ect, one of the shower rooms didn’t have any at all. One of the showers drain was also blocked but these things happen and tbh was not a huge deal! Other than that it was honestly fab! Such a cool fun experience.
