Staff are welcoming and helpful. Our room overlook the pool and the outdoor cinema screen. Room was modern and had everything you needed. The bed was huge and comfy plus the shower and the AC was effective. Breakfast was buffet style, with plenty of choices both Asian and Western. Location was spot on, close to many attractions and lots of eateries near by. Street is quite quiet at night and even in the daytime sitting outside the front of the hotel was nice in the coolish breeze, especially whilst drinking something cool or hot. Good place to stay whether you're young or old, a couple, solo traveler or with your family. Definitely recommend 👌.

Rather a lack of anything English speaking wise on the television, but that's not a deal breaker. The cinema at night is sometimes in English or English subtitles. Although some of the films were perhaps not suitable for children. Otherwise everything is good.

The hotel offers everything I need: coffee and water in the room, great location, and comfortable beds. In addition there is a good breakfast, friendly staff and a nice pool. You can book daytrips and transfers in the hotel and get good tipps. Great restaurants and thai massage very close.

Perfect Stay! We stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of out Thailand trip and then 1 last night before taking the flight back to our country. The hotel is conveniently located near Ram Buttri alley which has cute dinner spots and also near Khaosan road but ensuring a quiet, tranquil stay. The rooms are clean and the facilities are modern and well maintained. The coffee station near the hotel lobby made us treat ourselves every morning with delicious iced capuccinos to enjoy on the go. They had nice happy hours and other food package options worth to explore.

We got Deluxe double room (city view) both at the beginning of the trip and the end for our last night. The last night we were gifted a free room upgrade so they changed us to Deluxe room with the pool view. As much as we appreciate the gesture, we did not enjoy this room so much as it was much noisier (kids playing at the pool and night cinema displaying at pool area).

The staff were exceptional – always helpful, professional, and warm. The front desk greeted us every time we went out or came back, which felt very welcoming. Restaurant staff did a great job keeping the breakfast area clean and well-stocked, and housekeeping was impressively efficient, cleaning our room every morning without fail. The location is in a quiet neighborhood, which made it relaxing after busy days in the city. The room itself was quite spacious, with cool design touches and plenty of space to hang clothes. Definitely above average for the price range.

Breakfast options could include more variety, especially for vegetarians or Muslim guests. Room service would be even better with a wider selection of snacks beyond the basics.

This has to be one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in – not because of luxury, but because everything about the experience was just perfect. The room was bright, spotless, beautifully decorated and so practical. Even without a wardrobe, it was easy to keep everything organised. Every day we got fresh water, coffee and amenities, which was such a thoughtful touch. The pool was amazing! We ended up using it every single day, even if just for a quick dip, and it felt wonderful after hours of walking in the Bangkok heat and humidity. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They kindly allowed us to leave our luggage until we headed to the train station, and even gave us space to organise our suitcases and get changed after checkout – we spent almost an hour and a half doing so, which was so convenient and appreciated. The location couldn’t be better – close enough to the centre to get anywhere easily, but tucked away in a quieter, charming neighbourhood with lovely restaurants and a really nice atmosphere. I would 100% stay here again without hesitation. Absolutely loved it!

Nothing at all

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The staff were amazing, they were always there to help and were so kind. You never felt like you were bothering the staff, this really made our stay much better. The hotel was very clean and the air con is amazing. It was a nice touch sitting by the pool or your balcony and watching a movie, they do 2 movies a night. I had the pad Thai to eat one night it was great and they do 2 for 1 cocktails ! We had breakfast included and I had fruit every day it was very fresh. There is a man called Mike who sells excursion’s, I would recommend him he is a kind man and very helpful, we bought the floating market and train street tickets from him and had a great day. If you are staying in Bangkok I would say to stay here.

Nothing ! I loved everything about this place

Everything!! This might be the perfect hotel, the pool is perfect and open til 10 so great for cooling off after a day of exploring, the rooms are spacious, modern and have their own charm, the staff are friendly, helpful and very hardworking, the location is excellent, walking distance from loads of the top attractions and there are lots of great bars and restaurants round the corner- breakfast is amazing especially the egg chef and the icing on the cake is the nightly film showings! They are such a vibe!! Couldn’t recommend more!

Nothing, it’s all amazing

Absolutely fantastic. Samsen Street Hotel was the first of our hotels on our 5 country trip and it set the bar. Spotlessly clean, friendly staff, great layout, enticing swimming pool. Seemingly endless food options, a big room, daily water replacement and housekeeping, and near multiple food options for dinner (don't pay more than 80 baht for a meal!). Downsides: none really. Couldn't find more than 4 or 5 TV channels but our daughter spent every free moment in the pool anyway. Bathroom shower door didn't close perfectly but didn't cause any issues. I said to my wife that a perfect future holiday would be 2 weeks staying at this hotel rather than 4 nights.

Fantastic hotel in an excellent location Lovely, spacious rooms, very quirky decor Just around the corner from a huge variety of cafes, restaurants and street food. Also a short walk from canals, amazing area to explore - and good access to river. Closest pier for Chao Phraya tourist boat is Phra Arthit, only a 10 minute walk Breakfast and lunch in the hotel were good - can eat in the main restaurant, by the pool, or the little street side cafe area Movie nights by the pool were a really nice touch and were always family friendly An amazing find - would definitely return! Such a central location for old town, Phra Nakhon, Khao San, and surrounding neighbourhoods.. busy with an awesome vibe, yet away from all the traffic and noise.

Nothing major - some constructive feedback... Bed and pillows were rock solid, and only two pillows on the bed TV in room didn't work Breakfast area was a little cramped, with not much space to walk between tables to bring back your food, a little awkward when busy. Sister hotel across the road with rooftop bar - nice views but no atmosphere and the man behind the bar didn't seem pleased by our presence (his only customers at that point), so we felt like a bit of an inconvenience and had one drink then left. Staff at Samsen St hotel are amazing though.

The property was just as it looks on the pictures, it’s very clean and well maintained. The staff are AMAZING. If visiting you must book trips through them. We didn’t and were tricked. We paid 3 times as much. Lesson learned. Guy taking bookings is the best, very professional, speaks great English, will help with anything. Gave great recommendations for food and we went, I’ve never had Thai meals so tasty and so cheap so we tip because it’s too cheap even for Thailand. The hotel was not as noisy as I expected. Movies are great for all ages and well thought out. Prices are not hotel prices they are very good and reasonable. The hotel has everything you ever need including (in room) toothbrushes and toothpaste, soaps and hand wash as well as shampoo and conditioner, teas, coffees and daily water. Highly recommend and will return.

The only small thing was that the mattress was too hard but that’s me more than the hotel.
