Stayed here on a solo trip and absolutely loved it! 🙌 Booked a Single Room but was pleasantly surprised to have been upgraded to a Twin-Double, which I thought was a thoughtful gesture, possibly because I was staying there for 2 weeks. PROS: 1.) Nice, clean, tidy, relatively small yet adequately spacious room 2.) Clean Bathroom; Hot Shower; Toilet Rolls, Shampoo & Soap provided 3.) Comfy Bed, Pillow & Duvet 4.) Powerful & quiet AC (plus a fan!) 5.) Room made up every day; Towel replaced; new bottled water 6.) Quiet neighbourhood; almost zero noises from 10pm-5am 7.) Conveniently located close to: > Khaosan Road (10-15min walk) > Phra Arthit Pier (15min walk; start/end point of the Hop-On Hop-Off Tourist Boat) > 7-Eleven just around the corner (5min walk) > 2-3 Restaurants, some Street Food Carts, and a Weed Joint (pun intended) nearby Some reviews stated that the Lady Owner was rude, but nothing could be further from the truth. Thais don’t give a monkey's about your “privileged to travel”, arrogant, and boorish attitude and behaviour. Be polite, considerate, and respectful, and they will reciprocate, and this lady was nothing but nice to me from the very first day. An excellent, tasty breakfast is included and is prepared by a sweet elderly lady every day. It’s a Thai Breakfast and will be fried rice/noodles or rice + stir fry/curry + omelette + side of fruit (vegetarian available on request). There is unlimited self-service Tea, Coffee & Chocolate Malt. There's no lift but the stairs were no biggie, and they have a Luggage Lift. Some rooms have bathroom doors (I think?), mine was just a curtain, but again, 🤷‍♂️. In summary, rooms are spotlessly clean and equipped with all basic needs. Albeit a tad small, they are well laid out and cozy. Not close to the city, but nothing a bit of planning or a Grab Bike/Car can't fix. The Owners and Staff were super welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Highly recommend! 💯

CONS: 1.) No ferries to Phra Arthit Pier after 7pm 2.) Nearest MRT is Sam Yot Station, which is a 30-40min walk (nearest BTS even longer) [Tuk from Sam Yot Station will cost between 100-150 Baht depending on your bargaining skills] Whilst the Hotel may not be conveniently located close to the Big Mango’s most-used rail transport systems BTS & MRT (Phra Arthit Pier is the nearest public transport hub and the Express Ferry will cost less than 20 Baht to any stop; didn't try the buses), a Grab Taxi will only cost you between 125-175 Baht after rush hour from downtown Bangkok.

There were a lot of nice eateries, restaurants nearby. It was in a walking distance(10-15 minutes) from Khaosan road as well. Breakfast was also really nice! One morning we had a pad thai type of meal and a gapao type a meal on the other.

Not much in particular. We couldn’t do laundry service because it was late, but there are a lot of laundromats nearby so that wasn’t a problem

Everything was perfect. Spotlessly clean and the owner and staff couldn’t be more helpful. Perfect location so nice and quiet in the nights but only 15 minutes walk to khaosan road

The hotel is located in a quiet and residential area, walkable to most of the tourist attractions. The room was spacious, and clean with all the amenities mentioned on the website. There was no lift, but they surely had a luggage lift. Breakfast was great. Efficient housekeeping staff, superb cook, 24x7 hours available, and helpful receptionists (Pim/Pok) made my stay a memorable one. Everything was good and it's an accommodation which valued the price paid, So, I am happy. Thanks Roof View Place team.

I have a suggestion- Please mention about the lift's unavailability on the website as well (Clearly), to make sure people with disabilities and more age can plan accordingly.

Within the last 10 years, when in Bangkok, I always choose this hotel. I stayed in different kinds of rooms and always enjoyed. Unfortunaly the room I was in during my last stay was not as comfortable as usual. The sun hits it fully and it becomes extremely hot. I am not a fan of air conditioning, but it was impossible to stay without turning it on, at least for a while. The AC was not properly cooling and quite loud, it should be replaced. Nevertheless, if I am to visit Bangkok again, I will return to this hotel. It is clean, good value and location. I still highly recommend this place. There are 5 floors and no lift (besides for luggage, which might be an issue. It is advisable to book in advance, since it is almost always fully booked.

The staff was really friendly and very helpful when we needed an information and we get warm breakfast every morning. They wait for us to be seated and then they start preparing our food which is quick. They are very hygenic and everything was clean. They make our rooms everyday. It is also very secure with things put in place around the windows.

The location was not really to my liking. It was more of a neighborhood but we got to see the real life of Thailand people. If location is not really an issue, it is great for staying especially if you will be travelling by taxis most of the time. Even if the neighborhood is not to the expectation, the building is very secure.

Have stayed many times in this place-and written also other reviews. It remains my favorite place in this area-super friendly welcoming all-female staff, good facilities, location in quiet area yet near all Banglamphu/KhaoSan area places. Excellent value for money. Hint; also try other site for bookings like agoda if full. It has found a budget-style way of running it-no permanent reception, only takes pre-reservations.

It is a now slightly older hotel and that is noticeable in rooms and facilities. It may also vary a bit with the actual room. Note that the breakfast on offer is a set hot Thai-style meal of rice/noodle, no choice.

This family run hotel was certainly value for money. The room came with towels provided, toilet tissues, soap and shampoo, two bottles of water. The single bed and pillow were super soft and comfortable and slept very peacefully. The room came with a balcony. The room also came with plenty of sockets away from the bed to charge my tech devices. The free breakfast was light and very filling, where it differed each day. Staff were very kind and hospitable, I was allowed to store my luggage before check in and also after my check out. The hotel was a short walking distance from some of Bangkok’s attraction and a short ride from the attractions at the city centre. The hotel was located with plenty of facilities around such as restaurants, souvenir shops, cafes and laundry facilities, etc.

There are no lifts, but there is a luggage lift so even if you have to go all the way to the top, the luggage lift can make things a lot easier. I did not have an issue with this.

The place was simple and very clean. Had everything what I needed. It was at the calm street, so no noises at night. Breakfast was homemade typical thai - rice, chicken, omelette, bananas and coffee or tea. The room had toiletries provided- soap, shampoo…, hairdryer. It was cleaned every day with fresh towels and water too. Air condition and WiFi was working perfectly. The stuff was very nice and welcoming. The lady at the reception even gave me a bag of cookies when I was leaving. Would definitely recommend this place.
