I had a fantastic stay at Marni Hostel in Bangkok! The location is perfect, close to major attractions like the Grand Palace and Khao San Road, with easy access to public transport. The hostel is spotless, with modern facilities, comfy beds with privacy curtains, and inviting common areas. The atmosphere is friendly and social, thanks to events organized by the helpful and knowledgeable staff, who also gave great recommendations for street food and hidden gems. A simple but tasty breakfast is offered, and the value for money is unbeatable. I’d highly recommend Marni Hostel to anyone visiting Bangkok!

Bathroom is quiet hot. After taking shower, I got showered by my own sweat again.

The friendliness and helpfulness oif the staff. Wide and comfortable beds with good quality privacy curtains, reading light, charging points, storage alcove and lockable cabinet inside the bed cubicle. Even in a dorm, my space felt very private. Great wifi . Toilets and showers kept very clean, as was the whole hostel. Location close to good local.(& Western style) eateries and kerbside stalls, bars, shops and ATM. Easy to walk to canal-side breakfast or good coffee spots - walkable (or super cheap by bike or tuktuk) to boat trips, temples,grand palace and subway. Whole experience made very easy & enjoyable. A quiet, gleamingly clean, friendly & well placed hostel.

Perhaps better/ bigger desk space for when needing to work, although there was plenty of smaller desk & laptop spaces and loads of charging points. Maybe bigger kitchen facilities ? (although microwave and toaster were available 24/7 as was boiling water and free tea and coffee, sugar and milk powder).

Friendly and neat. Shampoo and body wash were provided, so I never bought them. It is cleaned every day and is neat. Shower supplies are always available, and each bed in the 8-person room has a light, locker, USB charging, and bed curtains. There is an air conditioner so it is always cool. I lived there for a week, but this area is quiet in Khaosan. There is a water purifier for hot and cold water, and coffee and Milo are provided for free.

There are men and women who only wear underwear or a towel after showering, perhaps because they are confident about their appearance and body. Greeting the other person coolly, but this can be a drawback. It would be nice if the hostel sold or provided drinks or something like that. good.

All of the above! Great value!! Staff was very kind and hard working keeping the rooms and bathroom facilities clean. Kudos to the management for having quiet hours in the dorm. Makes for a peaceful night. Quiet area at night with all conveniences nearby. Well done!

The Mattress!!! If you stay a day or two it’s not bad. I stayed 3-4 days at a time. My lower back would get stiff. The only reason that I marked down on comfort…Lastly, this location is no where near Downtown Bangkok. 20-25 min drive via Bolt moto.

This hostel has basically everything going right for it: it's close to central Bangkok, a handful of restaurants, and a 7-11; the staff are welcoming; they'll store your luggage for free on the day of your arrival or of your departure in case your room isn't ready when you get there or you've already checked out; the Wi-Fi is good; the beds are comfortable, and they come with their own lockers, bedside lamps, and cubbyholes for storing your stuff; they have plenty of toilet stalls and showers; they have free potable water; they keep the place clean; the staff have good recommendations for local transport, and they're friendly; and they have a big space for drying clothes. The shared rooms are quiet, and the hostel has excellent security, with keycards for both the main building and the dorm and with staff there around the clock.

The hostel could be that much better with just a little bit of work--one feels almost as though they had gotten as good as they wanted and given up. One of the showerheads was broken, the massive spaces beneath the beds need only for padlocks to be added to be fantastic lockers, their kitchen area could trivially be expanded with a bit more kitchenware, and... there was one more potential modification which has slipped my mind. It would be nice, when they are asked questions about the city, if the staff listened a little more carefully rather than talking at the people seeking advice, and the hostel's occasionally booking out an entire dorm room to a group lends it to people's sometimes having parties in their rooms until the wee hours, but only on weekends, it would seem.
