I love this place so much. We feel here like at home. Very good location. You can find a lot of great food places nearby. Administrators speak English very good what is rare in Bangkok. I adore lounge zone where you can have tea/coffee and very delicious sweets. Furthermore here is a water cooler where you can take water. I think it’s one of the best places to stay if you are looking for such kind of price. Staying here exceeds expectations and price

Absolutely nothing

Location. The cleanliness of the hotel and room.. The friendly and english speaking stuff. Mang street food around and even one Chinese Dim Sum restautrant and another hidden gen Michelin starred dessert restaurant (dessert Patonggo) within 400m walk from the hotel. And many foot massage centre and also it is quiet area (don't ever stay in Khao San.. So noisy and busy). 900m walk to Khaosan Street

Only improvement I'd make is free tea & coffee in the room rather than going downstairs to the lobby to get it, otherwise this place was faultless.

This was my second stay at Tara's and I loved it. The location is great as it is close to Khao San Road by foot. They have their own tuktuk service, which is very practical if you want to go from the hotel itself to the main attractions like the Grand Palace and you don't need to pay outside transport. The staff were the same ones of my previous stay two years ago and somehow they remembered me, that made me very happy. They are all lovely and assisted me with everything I needed.

Unfortunately there was one thing I disliked which was the fact I found tiny cockroaches in my room. I flagged this immediately to the staff and they took care of it, but still it was a detail that caught my attention as it is unpleasant to find cockroaches doesn't matter the size in your bedroom.

I had such a lovely stay at this hotel! The location is great—close enough to all the action but tucked away in a peaceful spot, which made me feel safe as a solo lady traveler. The warm welcome from everyone at reception really made a difference, especially the kind gentleman who always opened the door for guests arriving or leaving. I was pleasantly surprised to be dropped off free of charge at key points during specified hours—such a thoughtful touch! I also appreciated the tea, coffee, and snacks available in the reception area, especially during breakfast and in the afternoon. The hotel was spotless, and the staff went out of their way to help me, including booking taxis—definitely recommend using their service for convenience. Overall, I felt this was incredible value for such friendly, caring people. Thank you so much for looking after me—I truly felt at home. I can't wait to come back and stay again!

That I didn’t stay a few more days .

The hotel is located near Khao San Road which is very good. It has a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. The room was very spacious.

The room was always very hot, we couldn’t sleep without the AC, that is due to the lack of isolation from the outside. The windows didn’t close properly so the heat from outside was always inside the room. The staff was kinda weird, some were nice but others almost didn’t spoke English. They some security guards which honestly made me feel uncomfortable because they were always looking at us in a weird way. At the check-out the receptionist was a bite rude to us, she wouldn’t let us leave without the security checking up the room to see if we didn’t destroyed it and I accidentally left my jacket and my airplane pillow inside the closet and it seemed liked I left a bomb or something due to her behavior towards us.

The stuff was very kind andhelpful, they offer daily free Tuk Tuk ride to 3 locations, like the Grand Palace, very much appreciated. Also you can borrow for free an umbrela if raining. Many shops around and so many street food areas where you can eat. You can take a Tuk Tuk or a taxi to China Town, or you can walk 30-40 min, which is looking not too bad.

Unfortunately a bit far away from MRT or underground station, also the rooms have a small window, if yoy look for more brightness you may not like it. Hotel looks clean, but think they may pay more attention on cleaning in specially on furniture, windows and doors where noticed some extra dust. Mattress and pillows were very firm for me, did not give me the confort I was looking for.

The staff were very friendly and assisted us with booking a taxi to take us to the airport in the early hours. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The hotel itself is only a short walk to Khaosan Rd (if that's your thing) and the Muay Thai stadium, and there are a number of good restaurants nearby.

This hasn't been reflected in our score/review as it's not the hotel's fault; we were awoken each night by what we assume were overnight arrivals and/or people returning from their night's out and being very loud in the communal areas (slamming and knocking on each others' doors, as well as speaking very loudly to each other). It might be worth putting up signage to ask guests moving throughout the hotel at night to be respectful to other guests who are asleep/noting the quiet hours.
