I found the building itself very interesting. I loved the location. The room had an air-conditioner, it was clean. I had no issues with bugs like some reviews mentioned. There is also a good breakfast and laundry for a fair price.

I wasn't too excited about the shared bathroom situation. Of course, that's what I booked(shared bathroom). I just didn't realize how many people were sharing the bathrooms and that they're stalls and the sinks are out in the hallway(by the room doors). Also, the window had to be covered at all times otherwise the entire building was able to look directly into my room from their rooms or balconies(not a big issue for me, but I wouldn't say it has windows). Having said that, I wouldn't have a problem booking again, I would just get a private bathroom next time.

There is no Elevatorr in the Property which can be difficult when you have to go to the 4th floor . My Room was in 4th floor , I don't mind going by stairs but not every time

The accommodation is at the north-east side of Bangkok, by the historical centre. For my stay, I booked a small room with double bed. The bathroom with toilet and showers was shared with other guests, at the same floor. The accommodation offers breakfast for 150 bath. There is no possibility to order lunch or dinner. It is a good solution if you are looking for a room for the night, but not for a place where to stay long and relax. There is a common space, but not many comfortable charis. The host is a nice lady that let me keep my backpack there for the day I arrived, for free, while I was waiting for my room to be ready.

The best value for your money, dont even look for other places were to sleep in Bangkok and just stay here. Since the moment we walked in we were welcomed by a smile from the reception ladies. The staff was super friendly and helpful thorough our whole stay. They kept our luggage until night time as we had a train to catch. Located in a very convenient spot, far from the busy streets yet close by walking distanace to many good restaurants at 5 minute walking, and also Khaosan road at 15 minute walk. When we entered the room we were surprised by the size as it felt bigger than it looked on the pictures. The bed was very comfortable. The air-con was working properly. The shower was powerful and hot, with curtains to prevent showering the whole room. They gave us fresh towels every day, which we were not expecting. We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed it a lot. Every morning they offered a very rich breakfast, full of fruit, with bread and tea. You also choose your eggs: omellette, fried or scramble.

The only downside is that the room was on the second floor so if you have to go up and down with your own lugagge it can be a bit exhausting.

Had a pleasant stay at Samsen Sam Place! The breakfast was delicious (it is 150 Baht) for 2 toasts, plenty of different fruits (seasonal) and either scrambled egg, fried egg or omlette (you can choose) and either a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate. The room was very comfortable, good water pressure in the shower - everything was fine. They have a cozy common area, where you can get some work done or have a chat with others. You can buy different drinks at the hotel and they also offer laundry services (50 baht for 1 kg). It is located in the Old Town of Bangkok - there are a lot of really good and affordable restaurants and cafés nearby. I can recommend Aunt Lek, Sanhen Restaurant, Eat me and Wandee Coffee & Restaurant. I would definitely book it again when I am staying in Bangkok.

A good desk and a chair inside of the room would be nice, it is not necessary, because there is a little desk and a stool, but no proper chair. You can work in the common area or in any cafe, but a desk and a chair inside of the room would be perfect to work and have ac (in the common area there is no ac, but a fan).

Peaceful place, but also near all the action 🤩 Host and staff was very friendly didn’t make any problems, they also have laundry service, you can buy cold drinking water if you need, beautiful authentic house, everything was cool. Much better than regular hotel because you will feel the real vibe here. Ac room made place perfect because at hot days we wanted to go back and relax. Everything you may need is near 😊😊😊

Only that the shower was clogging when you use it, but everything else was realy cool.

I really liked the room! It was clean and well-maintained. Housekeeping was available upon request, which I appreciated—they changed the towels and made up the room whenever we needed. The number of power outlets was a huge plus, especially since we were two people with several devices to charge.

However, there were a few downsides. The room didn’t have a bidet, which I missed. Also, noise from other guests was a problem. One guest was even banging on doors and shouting at 5 AM, which was disruptive. To make matters worse, some guests were smoking outside the rooms, and the smell made its way into our room. Overall, the stay was good, but there’s room for improvement in terms of noise control and air quality.

Friendly staff. Nice big room with everything we needed - a couple surfaces to put things, lots of wall sockets, towel rack, mirror. Bed was comfy (very firm). Good location - quick walk to khao San road and down to the river to catch the ferry.

Only con was its not somewhere to meet other backpackers, didn't have a very social feel.

Walkable to bus stop , boat taxi & khaosan night party area . Friendly staff and reception . Receptionist(Lek) understands english & helps in getting to tourist attraction, though there are other receptionist too.Lek also provided me tourist map. . Clean rooms, clean & comfy beds, good air conditioned, hot water , clean washrooms, daily room cleaning. Definitely recommended. Stayed there for 3 days.

Washroom didn't have jet facility and only have toilet papers.

Being on that part of the town right at the heart of Bangkok tourist attractions like the Khaosan road (800mts), Wat Arun Ratchawararam (2.5kms) and the palace...this is on a fantastic place with great connectivity to the airport, bus terminal and walking distance to the Chao Phraya river on which lot of ferries ply. Not to mention the river side walk in the evening which is truly worth doing. As a vegetarian from India I had no problems finding veg restaurants near the Chakrabongse road tangent to Khaosan road.

I had booked the room with fan. Though the beds were great the bathroom was a real tight squeeze. There hardly was any room to move around in the shower.
