This was an absolute gem of a place we stayed at. We booked a family room for myself, husband and our 2 kids (15 & 18) - room was super modern and spacious. Such good value for money, had a fridge, hairdryer and shower gel and shampoo in the room if needed. Staff were lovely, breakfast was great, omelettes, pork, spring rolls, fresh fruit, toast and jam, yoghurts and tea, coffee and juices available too. There’s also a fridge by reception where you can just help yourself to however much bottled water you like whilst you’re staying there. 15 minute walk to Khao San Road area, we loved our stay here.

Every square feet of the property if full of thoughtful care of the guests. Everything works. Air conditioner is efficient and fairly new. Breakfast variety is exactly what my family needed. Staff is super-friendly and responds promptly. The lobby + 24*7 tea are great for late night chill-out while the kids are sleeping (yes, the room is small for a family of four, but what would you expect at this rate?)

Location requires careful planning of your sightseeing routes. Public boats are great solution but last boats just didn’t arrive which required spending more on taxi.

26/01/2024 - 29/01/2024 - Location: lovely location in the old town of Bangkok. You can take a cab for +\- 100 baht to the famous temples (15/20 min) Wat Arun, Wat Pho, Grand Palace,… you can also choose to walk than it would take you up to 40 min, 1 hour. - Wifi: good wifi! No problems downloading/uploading/watching videos. - Staff: very friendly and helpful staff, they really make you feel like you are royalty! Thumbs up for everyone! - Rooms: nice, clean room with double bed, private shower and toilet. There was a small desk so you can work or eat. A closet so you can hang some clothes. Hairdryer was also in the room. - Breakfast: toast, fresh juices, eggs/spring rolls/bacon/…, coffee, fresh fruits, it was basic but good enough! - Laundry: you can easily do your laundry for +\- 100 baht/5kg. There is also a dryer available. Big plus you geT FREE (cold) WATER! Overall we had a lovely stay in Bangkok Saran Poshtel and would recommend it to everyone!

Staff really helpful, good breakfast, beds were confortable, shared bathroom was good and clean.

Just the location is a bit hidden, but it was a close walk to Kaosan Road and main atractions of Bangkok.

My husband and I (I’m writing on his behalf) booked this place for our first night in Bangkok. We enjoyed our stay so much that we continued booking the following several nights to extend our stay and sight see a bit more. It was in a quiet neighborhood but close enough to amenities, night markets and kho san road. The staff are kind and helpful and very organized. They had a map of the area ready for us at check in and gave some tips on local cuisine and how to get around using river taxi’s. The Poshtel offered free drinkable water and served up a simple but delicious breakfast in the morning. It consisted of eggs and your choice of ham and sausage or mushrooms and squash. There was coffee, a selection of juices and tea, toast and yogurt. Rooms and facilities were clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend staying here. I know we will.

The property was super clean and based on a quiet street. Staff were super friendly and breakfast had a great selection of foods including fresh fruit daily. There is also unlimited bottled water available for free from the lobby fridge. We used inexpensive laundry service as well. Comfy beds, great location, great stay.

Very clean and comfy rooms. Spotless shared showers thst actually smelled good (a first in any hostel I've stayed at and a really nice touch). Breakfast was included and was delightful. The pork skewers are delish! There is also egg for the less adventurous! 😉 Brilliant and cheap laundry facilities, my clothes were ready to wear again in less than 2 hrs! The map provided by the staff was so thoughtful and their smiles always put me in a great mood. Thank you to the entire team! 🌸❤️

Just a minor thing: there was no MRT station nearby. Not a problem for me as the orange flag express boat is a 10 min walk away, and I prefer motorbike taxis anyway. Airport logistics were a little confusing, however. In the end I took a taxi to Bang Sue and then the red line to Don M. I'd heard from others that buses didn't always turn up and the airport limo bus guy told me they only start running at 11.30 am (what!! 😂😂). Would stay here again tho, it really was lovely! The smell of weed outside the hostel was epic. And it really was only outside, I always felt safe here as a solo female.

Amazing value for money. Wonderful breakfast with lots of options to choose from! I had scrambled eggs, pumpkin and mushrooms (vegetarian) with coffee fresh juice fruits yoghurt toast - it was great. They have a free water fridge with bottled water and you can take unlimited amounts. My dream Staff were very attentive, with little maps to help you plan your day When I arrived it was dark and the hotel is on sort of a small alleyway, so I had no clue where I was. Needed to get food for my family so asked the staff where to go and they directed me to turn right and walk less than a minute. I expected to find a simple takeaway but instead found a gorgeous restaurant right under the bridge with so many boats passing all lit up. It was magical Comfortable beds and pillows, simple and cute accommodation and awesome location. Loved it

We chose a room with a private bathroom, which was especially convenient for traveling with my wife and kids. The room featured two plush queen-sized beds that ensured a wonderfully restful sleep. It was spacious, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind. The bed was incredibly soft, and the pillows provided just the right amount of support. I also appreciated the meticulous attention to detail in the room’s decor, and how efficiently the space was utilized. Extra touches like the refrigerator and access to a smart TV with reliable Wi-Fi made our stay even more enjoyable. Complimentary cookies, coffee, and water were available around the clock :-) The breakfast spread was amazing! There was a great variety of options, from fresh fruit, toast bread, jam and yogurt to hot dishes like scrambled eggs and ham/bacon/sausage. I recommend you eat the grilled pork with sticky rice. The coffee was excellent, and it was a nice touch that they had cookies as well. I felt completely satisfied and ready to start my day. The best part was being able to order food from local shopping apps and have everything delivered directly to the hotel. The hotel’s location was perfect for exploring the area. It’s situated in a strategic spot, making it easy to walk to many attractions, restaurants, and shops. The public transport options nearby also made it simple to get around to other parts of the city. I couldn’t have asked for a better location for convenience. The host thoughtfully provided maps to local restaurants and shopping spots, making it convenient for all guests. Thank you Bangkok Saran Poshtel for the suprise goodies. The kids loved it :-)

While it's not a major issue, I would recommend bringing your own toiletries, such as toothpaste, toothbrush, and shaving essentials. We stayed for three nights and had our fill of the breakfast spread. If our stay had been any longer, it would have been nice to see some variety in the offerings.

A great hotel with very friendly staff , particularly those who work the breakfast shift, who were all fantastic and the hotel should be proud.. We had a double room with aircon. It was very comfortable and met all our needs with a great shower. I have no hesitation to recommend and have booked it again for the last of our stay. The markets and plenty of restaurants are within a 10-20 minute gentle stroll. But being that bit further away means that the nights are blissfully quiet. Heads up Vegans several great vege/vegan places nearby an easy 8-10 mins walk away.

It would have been great to have a few more vege options that don't contain eggs on the breakfast menu. As well as a milk alternative, particularly if advised in advance.
