Wonderful hospitality (thank you Hassan, Ayub and everyone behind the scenes) in a beautiful setting. Plenty of walking on the doorstep and the guide that we hired through the Ecolodge (also called Hassan) helped us to navigate trails around the Ecolodge and further afield and shared his culture with us. Everyone we met on our walks were friendly despite the terrible aftermath of the Earthquake which decimated their villages and lives. Fabulous food and they happily catered for dietary needs.

Our first room was small, dark and cold. Maybe great in summer, but not in December. We were luckily able to change. The price of taxis is very high if you want to walk anywhere further from the Ecolodge.

Exceptional service and hospitality were truly appreciated, many thanks to Brahim and the entire team at the auberge for making our stay so wonderful.

This place is so great and shouldn't be missed as a chance to get some downtime from the craziness of Marrakesh. We stayed for three nights with our two teenagers and were very very comfortable. The Lodge features gorgeous views, made to order (you choose from an extensive menu) yummy meals, and wonderful staff that arrange everything. We stayed during a cold snap and we were still cozy and warm at night so don't let the weather forecast deter you-- during the day it heats up nicely for hikes and reading a book in the sun. The hike with Mohamed was amazing-- he is so humble despite losing his home in the terrible earthquake. The Ecolodge staff arranged transport to and from the lodge as well as a guided hike and diy hamam. We loved our stay and wish it could have been longer. Previous reviews said that you need a car but that is simply not true.

Lovely, quiet location outside the main centre of Ouirgane with the sounds of nature to fall asleep to. All the staff were super lovely, friendly and helpful. We did a great guided trek that the lodge organised with lunch in a local village which we loved and a dip in the hotel pool after was very much appreciated! Our room was simple and spacious - the last one in the row so we had a lovely view of the sunset on our balcony though the room looked different to the pictures on booking.com (a new paint job, we think). Eating your meals in the garden with the mountains all around us was very lovely - we had a great lunch there - a good place for those looking for a good starting point for a walking holiday.

The bed was a bit too hard for us and breakfast could be improved with just the addition of some fresh fruit from the valley :)

The view from the balcony was stunning. It made for a lovely place to sit and read. The breakfast is a typical Moroccan breakfast - plenty to fill you up. The evening meal is a set menu with no options, just the 3 courses they make for that day. Usually a soup or salad, followed by a tagline and then something like an apple tart for pudding. It's very peaceful.

A second food option for dinner would have been nice. It's quite isolated, which is fine if you're expecting that and just planning to go for walks or stay put. If you're hoping to be able to walk somewhere for dinner, this isn't the right place. Take earplugs as you might be woken by dogs barking or the cockerel. Our experience was that most other guests were either Moroccan's on holiday, guests on longer package tours there for a few days walking, or cyclists stopping through. I felt it might be inappropriate to sit by the pool in a swimsuit, so if you are hoping on soaking up the sun, you might feel more comfortable at a larger hotel with more similarly minded guests.

I recently stayed at Ouirgane Ecolodge with two friends, and it was a delightful experience. The peaceful atmosphere in the village of Ouirgane made for a perfect retreat. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast that set the perfect tone for our day. For lunch and dinner, we had Tagines, which were flavorful and satisfying. The quiet surroundings and the warm hospitality made our stay truly memorable. Ouirgane Ecolodge is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a tranquil and enjoyable escape. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning!

Everything was amazing!

The Ecolodge is a lovely hotel with beautiful gardens and a nice little pool. Our room was large, sumptuous, and prettily decorated. There are several cozy areas where one can relax after a day's drive or hike. After a surfeit of tagines we were glad to see some Italian dishes on the restaurant menu and ordered penne al arrabiata. The sauce was delicious, but the pasta was a mite overcooked. Breakfast was good, too. We really appreciated staff helping me wash our car after the dusty drive over the Tizi N'Test road.

Nothing really.

Just 1.5 hour from Marrakesh, this was a sanctuary of calm and comfort. The staff are friendly and attentive and the setting is beautiful. We enjoyed our breakfast and dinner (the food is exceptional) in a cosy room with a fireplace and panoramic views of the the Atlas mountains. There is a lovely garden (incl a goat, duck and a chicken) with a swimming pool and even a private hammam. The Manager Mohammed took care of all our requests (even lending me a rain coat) and organized an amazing hiking tour with a brilliant guide, Hassan.

Our only point of feedback was that the bed was a little on the hard side.

The staff is so friendly and there is a garden to explore. The food was good and we liked that the water was filtered and served in glass bottles instead of plastic. We liked getting slippers in our room. The other travelers were also very friendly and we had good conversations at dinner and breakfast. The area is gorgeous for hiking.

The sheets and towels have a smell of bleach that was a little strong. We didn't get a welcome packet with activities, maps, info about the lodge - that would have been helpful.

Everything! The greenery, the interesting layout of the rooms, the pool, the food- all fresh lovely breads for breakfast lots of veg at lunch and dinner fruit salads, all served in time with a smile nothing was too much trouble .. nice relaxed atmosphere we felt we had the place to ourselves .. aircon was dripping they fixed it right away .. we booked 3 rooms they put us 3 all grouped together without us asking .. booked a very nice car to take us on to Essaouira at a good price..

Nothing about the property but we were there in July and it was very hot - alleviated somewhat by the greenery but needed to stay in doors for part of the day we had reading material but TVs might be useful too..
