Plus points: The room was lovely, with AC to keep cool in the heat and a truly spectacular view (this isn't unique - I think most of the rooms had a fantastic view, and all can access the terrace). We made extensive use of the cooling swimming pool, which was clean and well maintained with plenty of places to sit. You could certainly get walk (and we did) into Imlil centre, but it was far enough out to feel calm and quite serene. Food is a particular highlight. Breakfast was extensive and delicious and dinner was great value, authentic and a treat.

It's not a criticism, but just something to be aware of - there is no road access and a 5 min walk over very uneven ground is necessary to go from the road to the property. Fortunately, a very sure footed staff member met us and took our bags.

Very clean and quiet Riad, outside parts are beautifully decorated and playful with colours. The location is top notch and the view truly amazing. The surrounding mountains can be admired from every part of the property: the rooms, the roof terrace, the terrace where we had breakfast and even the pool area. The host and his family are always friendly and eager to help out. The traditional Moroccan food is really good and the homecooked diner comes at a very fair price. Filtered drinkable water from a nearby source is also freely available. Would definitely recommend!

A magical few days in the Atlas Mountains were made all the more special by the fact we stayed at Jnane Karma! Mohammed and his family, including his super-cute 18 month-old daughter Maria, looked after us so well. The breakfasts were delicious and we ate there both nights in the end - and we were rewarded with delicious tagines by the cosy log burner on chilly evenings. We also took a guided walk up the nearby small peak which afforded us evening more stunning views before circling back to the waterfall which many tourists visit for the day from Marrakech. The beautifully decorated room itself was perfect for a family of four and was cosy evening with the cold nights outside.

Nothing worth mentioning really. You have to go to the registration desk of a different Riad across the valley as it isn't possible to get there easily yourself. But the process worked fine so wasn't an issue!

Wow! The little path you get to the property on, makes you feel like it is a hidden gem and it is! Lovely decorated and clean rooms, communal areas and spaces traditionally decorated and all have amazing views. The swimming pool is lovely and perfect for relaxing and escaping it all. Mohammed is attentive, and genuine. The breakfast is large, tasty and fresh. Dinners are three courses, substantial and tasty. Mohammed organised a guide to take us trekking, which was a fantastic experience.

We had a wonderful 2 nights here. Mohammed made us feel so welcome and the food was delicious. The property has a couple of terraces and space by the pool to enjoy the fantastic views. We enjoyed relaxing here after a great hike that Mohammed arranged for us.

Booking says the family room is 40m2 which isn’t true - that must include the large terrace. It is still absolutely fine for a family of 4 but not as spacious as we’d hoped. Bathroom a bit smelly but seems to be a common problem in Morocco!

The location was superb - peaceful with a lovely view over the mountains. The family room was a good size, with a lovely private terrace and comfortable beds. The reception/dining room was cosy with a log burner going at breakfast and dinner, so we were toasty warm while eating lovely food and discussing plans for the next day. Muhammad was a great host, organising a mountain bike trip and suggesting a drive over Tiz-n-test pass for our journey to Agadir, which was a stunning route. Lovely family, very welcoming. Would highly recommend.

Nothing - was all good

me and a friend had a wonderful stay, the responsible, Mohamed, was incredibly helpful, and also helped us to arrange a Toubkal trek through their partner company which was also excellent. He also helped us in arranging our taxis to and from Marrakech, with airport pickup and drop off/meeting with the owner at the Marrakech riad. When we first arrived, the location took us by surprise as it is a couple of minutes walk down narrow paths only accessible by foot, but its totally worth it to be a little way out of Imlil and have stunning views over the valley, plus Mohamed helped us with our bags. We had the room in the highest part of the building, meaning we had the roof terrace almost all to ourselves, which was much needed for a day of rest after the trek! Don't hesitate to book this place if you're looking for a stay in Imlil, its absolutely beautiful, so clean, comfortable, and such a friendly welcome, nothing is too much trouble.

Nothing - but make sure you take up Mohamed's offer of meeting you on arrival or it would be difficult to find the property. Don't be British about things, let them help you out!

Loved my stay here. Mohamed helped me organize my Toubkal summit trip and took care of the guide and equipment. The rooms are nicely decorated and warm showers with good water pressure. Especially the rooms on the frontside have wonderful mountain views. Dinner served is very tasteful!

Was ok for me but as mentioned in other comments, it is good to know that the location is about a 5 minute walk down a narrow path.

OH WOW!!!! Everything about this place is beyond perfect!!!!! The setting is stunning, the rooms are so beautifully decorated and super comfortable, our terrace was gigantic and with stunning views!!!!!. The breakfast was excellent, everything was clean, the pool area was just 😍😍😍😍. The family that run it are lovely and the evening meal we had there was just out of this world - the best tahini we had our whole trip. Lovely chill out areas to use. Do not hesitate to book here you will not regret it. We would love to go back again.

Fine for us, but not suitable if you have access needs as had to walk a little way up steps etc from main road.

Really lovely place to stay; a wander from the car up and along a narrow path but gorgeous views across the valley from the rooms and rooftop. Beautiful rooms (a double on the top and a triple on the 1st floor.) Tasty meatball tagine for dinner and breakfast filled the boys up. Helpful and friendly staff. Peaceful place, about 20minute walk to the main area of Imlil and to head towards the waterfall walk.

The pool wasn't available as it had been really windy and rainy. (April)
