Nakorn Riverview was a great value hotel located in the centre of Champasak. In the evening it was a short walk to the few other restaurants in the town which wasn't really necessary as the restaurant at Nakorn is excellent. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The owners Herbert and Wan were extremely helpful in arranging day tours and transport to/from the airport. They also have bikes and motorbikes for rent which was very useful to get to Wat Phou and to tour around the area. If visiting Champasak and Wat Phou Nakorn Riverside is an excellent option for your stay.

The hotel is lovely and has the greatest position just by the river. The room is large and the bed is comfortable. The staff is very kind and attentive, they help you rent a motorbike or to buy tickets for different destinations .

The breakfast (which is not included in the room price) could be more consistent.

The private wrap around balcony had chairs and a table. The room had air conditioning and a fan. The shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water.

The internet connectivity was spotty.

Nice place at Muang Champassak, by Mekong river. Quiet room with nice views at the river, comfortable (though a little small), with all necessary amenities. Transportation by car from/to Pakse airport and to Wat Phou Unesco site can be arranged with the hotel. A restaurant at site serves good food which is very convenient at a village where one does not have many options.

- Prices at the restaurant are a bit at the expensive side. - Payments should better be made in cash, in order to avoid unfavourable exchange rate when paying by card.

Room was lovely and bed very comfortable, very clean room and bathroom. Nice veranda with view on the Mekong. How practical: Two luggage racks (this was the first in Laos). Food in the restaurant is very tasty.

During one of our meals in the restaurant the waitress made a mistake with the dishes and put it on the wrong table. Where people work mistakes can be made, but with the Lady owner voicing loudly that her personal is no good and is lacking respect.

The 3 of us stayed in 2 units- one was the 2 bedroom apartment with a private deck and a hammock overlooking the Mekong where we spent most of our time.The other unit was close by and perfect for our friend.The apartment is great for a couple or a family and was very relaxing, clean and comfortable. The owners and the staff were wonderful.The food and variety of options were amazing..We stayed for 4 nights and other than a memorable visit to Wat Phou we decided to just hang around Champasak and enjoy Nakorn River View. It was a good decision!

- The rooms are very large, nice and clean, definitely above average by country standards. - The staff was friendly and helpful, they picked us up early in the morning and allowed us to check in early even though it was not announced beforehand.

- We purchased tickets to Don Det at the front desk and the service is quite expensive compared to other transfers offered in Laos. However, we had to cross the Mekong in a very shabby boat driven by two children. All well and good, but we did not like it.

Wonderful accommodation on the Mekong with a helpful host and very friendly staff. Our room on the second floor was spacious and we appreciated the verandah overlooking the temple and surrounding area. It is possible to rent bicycles and motorcycles at the accommodation. The restaurant has good cuisine and a wide selection. The location is perfect - you can walk to the small center of Chamasak and various restaurants.

It is a great, relaxing and quiet place. The rooms are nice and spacious. We just stayed for 2 nights, but could have stayed longer (but didn t had the time). We could have bicycles for free, I mean they not great but ok to get to Vat Phou. The restaurant is really good, Really enjoyed the food and luckily they had nice vegetarian options. Very helpful staff, organized our tickets to Don Det easily.

Nice owners, and Uan (or One, we never did see the spelling - the lady partner) is an excellent cook. We had a big room, overlooking the Mekong. Bicycles available ... you might need to do a bit of mechanical repair, and motorbike rental. In the centre of sleepy Champasak right on the bank of the Mekong, and 10km from Wat Phou. We had a super relaxed stay for a couple of days.
