A beautifully renovated property in Mandawa, walking distance to the bazaar. My room was absolutely spotless, not a speck of dust. Comfortable bed, kettle etc, beautifully decorated, and a terrific bathroom. I had a hot bath, a delight after months of backpacking. It’s a small hotel with a handful of rooms, and lovely dining nooks. I had a room adjoining a relaxing outside sitting nook. The foot tastes delicious and is beautifully presented, many thanks to Lal Singh the chef. The manager is welcoming and will help plan your visit. Don’t miss sunset from the rooftop too. I stayed two nights over Holi, I could have easily stayed longer.

All was delightful

Mandawa is an excellent base for exploring the Shekhawati region. It has several beautiful havelis and Chobdar Haveli, a historic house a short walk from the centre of town, is the ideal place from which to explore. Our room - on the first floor - was large and beautifully decorated with excellent air conditioning and a large bathroom. There's also a central courtyard plus shady places to sit and eat. Virendra is a very attentive host and the vegetarian food cooked by Lal Singh was varied and delicious.

There was really nothing we didn't like. This felt like staying in an elegant home.

Chobdar Haveli is a small, understated Haveli in a quiet location but very accessible from the painted havelis. The relatively small inventory of rooms and open architecture with a number of open courtyards affords enough privacy while remaining cosy. The rooms and bathrooms are generously proportioned and furnished with a light touch. The service personally supervised by Virendra is attentive and Lal Singh is a very good cook. Sure to visit again.

This was my first stay at a Haveli and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The staff were fantastic. Having tea while sitting in the upper outdoor courtyard was a treat. The food was excellent. Breakfast was eggs cooked to order, toast, a variety of fruit, and tea/coffee. I had dinner one night with six different veg dishes. The room was large and the bathroom was almost the same size as the bedroom. There was an alcove to store your luggage. There was a space heater for the chilly nights. There was a/c and fan but not needed. The room had some neat architectural features.

The shower head could have been a little higher.

Beautifully decorated Haveli with large & spacious rooms. Made to feel very comfortable & well looked after by the excellent host & staff Virender organised a tour of some of the Haveli’s with a guide for us. Make sure to have dinner here. All veg & all delicious made by a dedicated & generous cook. Loved ever minute here & Mandawa is an interesting & quiet little gem

Hotel Chobdar Haveli in Mandāwa is a great place. Behind its two peaceful haveli courtyards, it offers perfect hospitality and authentic style. The owner and staff go into great lengths to make your stay comfortable. Our room was a delight, breakfast and the (optional) dinner was generous and very good. We fully recommend Hotel Chobdar Haveli.

This haveli is magical, one of the best places I ever stayed. The room was marvellous and spotless, the dinner absolutely delicious (one of the best Indian food I ever had) and the staff extremely nice. I’ll never forget the sense of peace I felt in this place I only wished I could have stayed longer. Highly recommended and the price compared to the service is excellent.

Stayed here three nights,in the 'green room', upstairs, center. Huge, beautifully designed main room. Similarly attractive bathroom, bigger than most hotel rooms. Quietest place possible for Mandawa. (Amplified singing started at 5am, affects the whole area.) Proprietor and staff all extremely nice and helpful. Food delicious, generous, and inexpensive. Everything about my experience here was just first rate. Highly recommended.

Mind your head when exiting from the bathroom to the bedroom. Low clearance.
