The location was excellent as it was very close to the shops. The unit was self contained and had all the necessary equipment for preparing meals. It was a well appointed unit in all respects. Having access to a rental car was a plus.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the facility.

Cumberland Resort & Spa were great at communicating with us regularly and organizing our tours we selected. Staff were helpful and ever so friendly. The morning tour around the island was very informative. The Whitehouse exceeded our expectations! All the bedrooms are generous sizing, so people can relax in their own space or hang out In the main lounge. So many places and decks to chill out on, relax in the spa or sauna. Kitchen was fully equipped. I liked that it was a short drive from town, as it was quiet, serene and just a beautiful location. We opted for the hire car which was clean, and very handy to get about town.

I can't think of anything that I didn't like! I'd definitely stay with them again.

The property is in a great location - close to town. The two bedroom unit was well organised and comfortable. Timia is a great host and shows attention to detail. the welcome pack of food and provisions is great as food is expensive at Norfolk Island.

the internet provision is great - 10 GB but the reception is low. it would be great if Norfolk Telecom provided tourists more data on the tourist plan. we decided to focus on being off the grid rather than trying to connect to the internet.

No breakfast supplied. Location very good. Timar was excellent host. Very convenient to have a car on request. Nice touch for the waiting area for the bus and the help yourself bananas. It was very considerate that we had a late checkout at 1:45pm as it would have been a vey long day for a 10:00am checkout.

With such a tropical location, it was disappointing that the gardens around the entrance and the individual villas were not kept as nice as around the exit of the property.

We were fortunate to be upgraded for some of our stay to the “White House” which is located a couple of kms from the main resort. It is here you will find the spa that is located on the balcony. The house is beautiful and comfortable. We will definitely choose to stay here if we come again and highly recommend this as a place to stay. The resort itself where we started our stay is located conveniently to town and some attractions. The staff at the resort are exceptional and a special shout out to Tima

The provided breakfast was delightful. The bed was super comfortable. Kitchen was great, large fridge, all the cooking gear you could need. Nice out door area too. Tima went out of her way to encourage all guests to ask if there were any issues at all. Lovely to get fresh towels half way through our seven day stay too. Couches not comfy for long sits but then so much to see on the island, it wasn’t really an issue!

Centrally located, close to shopping and attractions. Tour buses picked us up from the front of the property. Tima the manager was great! We needed some adjustments and she really came through for us. If you can afford a little bit more, try to book one of the Romantic Villas, they are so worth the extra money!

The resort looks a bit run down, but the rooms are newly refurbished, with everything provided and spotlessly clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The Cumberland provided a starter kit of food and necessities, that was great for our initial stay. The package included a car that ready to go on arrival, very handy although the resort is within easy walking distance of Burnt Pine.

We had expected hotel accommodation, not self catering, but that was our problem, not the Cumberland.

Service was sensational, Manageress Tima was the best. I had my mum with me for the trip and she needed some help as she finds it hard to walk to far since she had her hip replacement op.

Beds and couches in lounge were a bit uncomfortable. but the rest of the accommodation was sensational.

Everything was clean. Great kitchen and bathroom Comfortable beds, fresh bread, fresh eggs supplied for breakfast Exceptional hosts, Rael, Meme, and Tina were super helpful and friendly. Thank you

Given the remoteness of Norfolk Island, it’s totally understandable that things aren’t as new as they are on the mainland, but everything was clean and worked perfectly.
