It was a big room with room for 4 people. However I might not bill it as a hotel. There was a tv but it wasn’t working. The staff said that they were in the process of removing them all. Notably, booking.com doesn’t list a tv as an amenity. The restaurant wasn’t open. There are no facilities or extras. There are no snack machines. Not that I need these things but it seemed more like a motel. For that matter, there is nothing in this town save a gas station and there didn’t seem like there was even a place to eat or get food. The hotel staff goes home at 4pm; so if you need something, you can call their number but they might not answer right away. Granted it’s off season, I suppose. Still, my wife and I enjoyed walking around the town of <400 people. The scenery is beautiful. As a fringe benefit, we were able to see the Aurora Borealis from our window.

Located just off the main road in a quiet neighborhood/town. Nearby murals and beach/ocean made for a nice stroll. Keyless checkin and door locks were convenient. Comfortable beds and sufficient room for 2. Although we didn’t use the tv, there was one, a kettle and a communal microwave. The pastries and water at the entrance was a nice touch. We weren’t expecting a sit-down breakfast with some nice options for a “breakfast to-go”, but enjoyed it before venturing out. Overall, great 2-day stay. Bonus: Can find dark skies a few minutes drive. We were lucky to get an aurora light show on our last day. On our way back, we got to see the northern lights from the hotel parking lot 🥳

We stayed at this wonderful hotel as part of our honeymoon, and it was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. They provided us with great recommendations for activities and dining, ensuring we made the most of our trip. The location is breathtaking, offering stunning views on the volcano and a peaceful atmosphere. Breakfast each morning was delicious, with a wide variety of fresh options that set the perfect tone for the day. We truly appreciated how attentive and caring the staff were, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. The experience was unforgettable, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate such a special occasion. Highly recommend for couples looking for a memorable and relaxing stay!

We were welcomed by the lovely hotel receptionist Anna, who had such a great positive energy and so kind to also give us extra tips for our travels! In the Peninsula area, it is hard to find a good place to eat, much less to find places open past 6pm, thankfully you got a really good restaurant (Sker Restaurant) only 10 minutes away from the hotel:) Let's talk about the most important meal of the day, BREAKFAST! 10/10. They had all what a breakfast for champions needs: Eggs, Sausage, different sorts of Icelandic yougurt(Skyr), Fruits, Juices, Coffee, and much more;) And you can easily watch the northern lights from the comfort of your room, but if you wanna get even a better view, you just need to drive a couple minutes out Hellissandur (away from the street lights). Good breakfast included. The restaurant had limited options but the food was excellent. Good location for exploring the peninsula and going out after dinner.

Would be nice to have somewhere other than our room to sit in the evening after dinner, especially as we would have liked to spread our map and info out but breakfast/dining area was locked and reception area was dark.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the bar and restaurant on site. Breakfast was amazing with a great selection. All hotel spaces were clean and well maintained. Staff constantly paid close attention to details to ensure all guests felt the same. This place doesn't look like much from the outside but it's a gem on the inside, and again, great staff.

The window curtains let in too much light at the top, so it wasn't dark in the room as long as we would have liked in the morning.

First of all, the staff - young, professional and friendly! The hotel - new or entirely renovated. The restaurant - nice menu, good presentation, good choice of wine! The breakfast - hot croissants, choice of hot (eggs), and cold (ham, cheese, skyr yogurt, cereals, fruits, etc.). Well situated in a town with nice vibe.

Most expensive of my 15-night stay in Iceland: 3 nights x CAN$309.

The staff here were incredibly helpful and even upgraded our room, which was a nice touch! The room itself was basic but clean and comfortable just what we needed. The hotel also has a restaurant with a fantastic menu and some great options. The complimentary breakfast was impressive, with a wide variety to choose from. Overall, it was a great stay, and I’d definitely recommend it!

Very clean hotel with free on-site parking. A restaurant also on-site was the icing on the cake. The staff could not be any better, both Paulo and Joel are great people who will attend to you with friendly and efficient service. The burger at the restaurant was excellent and the fries were to die for.
