Stuffs were very sympatic and helpfull. Breakfast was very good - ham, cheeses, salami, toast, hardboiled eggs, sweets, joghurt, tea, coffee and juice. Good place for start our trips around.

The rooms were nice, with a full bathroom. A great buffet breakfast for purchase. The 2 staff we met were very nice. Lobby comfortable. Location good for our purpose.

The staff was not available much of the time. Locked my keys in my room at 11pm had to search the place to find someone. The phone number they leave to call for assistance does not reach anyone. Also the website stated they serve dinner. But they did not while we were there. Several people walked in for dinner we were in the lobby at the time, informed them they don’t. Unless I’m the busy season they may.

Everything about this place (not just the hotel, but the whole village) was amazing. We came here in April and there was lots of snow on the ground and freezing winds coming from the north, but the sun was shining throughout our stay. If you're like us and want to breathe fresh air then Grundarfjörður is definitely the right place to be. The hotel was very cozy, and it was just by the water. There was free parking, big and comfy beds, nice bathrooms, mountain view from the windows, a microwave to use in the dining area in case you brought your own food..

The location was perfect for a day trip to explore the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. The town has restaurants and an excellent market nearby. Room, bed, and bath all met expectations and we were very comfortable. Plenty of space for luggage and open closet to hang clothes.

Kirkjufell Hotel is located within a working industrial harbor. We were off exploring during the day, so we do not know what the working atmosphere was like. With the line up of trucks and forklifts it had the potential to be noisy.

Nothing critical, just minors: soundproofing kinda weak, room sizes smallish, pricy (but this is Island, so maybe not so)

Close to interesting sights (30 min drive to Snæfellsjökull National Park), plenty of parking available, staff were kind and made a special effort to make our stay comfortable, room was available for booking at the last minute.

Check in time was advertised as starting at 4 pm, but staff weren’t available until later in the evening. Would suggest future guests ask when staffed check-in time starts in case you have questions when you arrive.

Lovely little hotel with the best shower of our trip. Very clean and comfortable. Lovely greeting at reception. Excellent breakfast with the best muesli, coffee and fruit. Great quick toaster and good bread selection. Very good base for visiting the Snaefellsnes Peninsula as central..Lovely art on the walls. Close to cafes and great little supermarket/ post office You must do the cliff walk from Hellnar to Arnastappi and do go on from the monument as coast gets better. Public loos at latter place too and cafes.

The hotel is located near the harbor in a quiet place. The room is pretty old but clean. Comfortable beds. Overall, it's acceptable accomodation for a one-night stay. Great communication with the staff.

The walls are thin. Pretty basic breakfast.

Comfortable and spacious room. This is a great location to stay particularly if the Northern Lights are showing as it is only a few minutes drive and you are out of the village.

While we knew the restaurant was not open in the winter season it would have been handy if it had been - particularly given the number of tourists around.

The hotel is situated conveniently to restaurants and attractions. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We were able to check in sooner than expected without any problems.

One of the two mattresses in the room was not flat.
