The setting of Dis Cottages was amazing. The views are beautiful. They were easy to find but remote enough to see the Aurora because there were no distracting lights. Though small, the cottage had everything we needed for our stay. We were not planning to cook, but there were enough kitchen utensils if we wanted to make a meal. We would be happy to return here for a longer stay if we come back to Iceland.

Though the shower was excellent in pressure and temperature, the drain design needs improvement. It is not possible to shower without flooding the bathroom floor. After one shower, we devised a plan to use the available squeegee, one person showering while the other pushed the water back inside. Either the drain must be sunk further into the floor, or a retaining edge should be installed to keep the water inside the shower. The bathroom could also use some shelving, perhaps in the corner.

The location of this accommodation is simply 😲🤩 Amazing beds, well equipped kitchen and nice terrace around the cottage. Nice bathroom as well! Good shower! We had a lovely stay 👌💕

The shower curtain could have been a little longer. Becomes rather wet now. Maybe create a space for the microwave, because the counter is now very crowded. Almost no space left to cook. Just a suggestion tough 😉 Maybe also an additional table in the living area and sacrifice the table in the kitchen. Also again just a suggestion.

Stay was very good. We could see the views of Kirkjufell from our studio apartment. Sebastian the property manager helped us with all the questions and concerns.

They advertised in booking.com like the stay I was booking for was the cottages which are more fancy. However when we got there we found out it was a studio apartment. Wish they posted more photos and made it very clear that stay would be in the studio apartment and not the cottages. But Sebastian really helped us and made up for the disappointment with the misleading posting on booking.com for the property.

It was a private cottage in a small isolated area which was great. Peaceful at night. Checkin was simple as it was self check in with keys waiting in the room. It has all the basic necessities in the room. A microwave. Fridge and heater. Air conditioning as well if you scared of the heat. Beds were comfy. Nearest food area is a town nearby. Nothing nearby for food near to the accomodation. Chanced upon a bit of northern lights while we were staying there. Despite it being cloudy.

The location of the cottage by the beach is phenomenal. Even though it was cold when we were there, the view was amazing. The cottage is not far from Grundarfjörður down town. As you drive to the cottage you will see the back of Kirkjufell mountain. It's just beautiful. The cottage was clean and looked liked it had just been newly remodeled. The appliances worked perfectly. The heater worked and the blankets were warm enough.

The bathroom drain doesn't work properly so that water didn't drain while one was in the shower. And after shower you sometimes had to use a bathroom floor squeegee to dry the floor.

For over 200 euros per night you have to make too many compromises. 1. False information on Booking.com. I was offered an apartment with a separate bedroom and living room. In reality it's just one room. 2. There are no storage options for suitcases or backpacks. But you can use the chairs and table from the terrace. 3. The apartment including the shower has no storage space, so bring your own shelves and wall hooks. 4. In the shower you have to make sure that the mat is directly in front of the shower cubicle otherwise the water will run directly into the room

The location - very quiet and remote with fabulous views. But also just a few minutes away from the town centre. Comfortable bed, kitchen is very compact but it was enough to be able to prepare full meals each night. Check in super easy. Hosts responsive

Very cramped living space and the shower set up is very poor with water flowing out of the shower area and flooding into the rest of the bathroom. Towels are old and frayed.

The view is amazing, the cottage is right next to the sea, overlooking kirkjufell. What I must acknowledge is that our van got stuck in snow drift, because the wind the night before was crazy, CRAZY, and the owner helped us get our van unstuck. It wasn’t easy and he didn’t even know if it was going to work, but thankfully it did. That’s why I’m giving them the best rating.

I know you cannot control the weather conditions, so I’m just letting people know that the cottages are kind of at a vulnerable location to the elements, the night we were there it was very windy in the peninsula and it complicated things a bit. Nonetheless, the owners are there to help you in any way they can.

The cabin was beautifully located, with a view over the bay towards Kirkjufell. The cabin was a lovely studio layout and had everything we needed to relax and watch the world go by. We came in winter and there were continual snow showers coming over, but the cabin stayed nicely warm throughout. The owners were very helpful and accommodating when we arrived early on our first day.

Very minor - the kitchen facilities were adequate, but there were not enough plug sockets and the hotplate was a plug-in version meaning we had to rearrange the whole kitchen every time we wanted to cook something.

Dis Cottages managed to accede to my request during booking and that made a big difference to our experience. There was enough view and warmth in the unit.

The handheld shower, which complemented the rain-showerhead, was placed in a holder which could only hold it vertically straight up. It would be nicer if that holder were slanted at an angle so it can be used by itself for showering.
