Location is perfect! View is amazing! Also a perfect little kitchenette for our needs..nice details! Indoor access felt much more secure. It was also quiet; we had neighbors in the rental but never heard them. Black out curtains were wonderful. Personnel met us and showed us to the apartment, very responsive and were willing to work with us on our arrival time. :)

Some improvements that would not be difficult: Shower needs a lip around it to keep the water where it belongs or supply a floor squeegee to dry the floor more quickly. 5 ppl showering..a lot of wet floor despite being careful. Also would suggest adding a mirror in a commons area or in the bedrooms: we were 5 ppl and had to share a bathroom mirror. We didn't have enough hot water for 5 ppl to shower. I don't know if this was because I pulled the "card" near the door to turn off all the lights as we left? Or if we shared a water heater?

We booked a 2 bedroom+living room apartment in this building, it was a nicely furnished, modern apartment at a great price. The host lady was very kind to us, checking in was easy. There are restaurants, cafés, and a gallery nearby. And the view... OMG the from there is unbelievable, the building is next to the bay, overlooking Kirkjufell mountain. Watching the northern lights from there was such an uplifting experience. If you want to explore the Snaefellsnes peninsula, Grundarfjördur is a great location to stop at with such a beautiful scenery, surrounded by the mountains, and booking this apartment is highly recommended.

The special thing about this place, which in my opinion was the best option for traveling in Iceland, was that the rooms were like hotel rooms with private bathrooms. At the same time, they had a fully equipped kitchen, which you typically don't get in a hotel but is essential when traveling in Iceland to cook meals and store groceries in the fridge. They also gave excellent restaurant recommendations. We went to the restaurant next to the guesthouse and had one of the best dinners of our trip to Iceland. The restaurant felt like a Michelin-starred establishment. It was expensive, but definitely worth it. Thanks for your recommendations and for the wonderful, comfortable service!

The location was great: near the town centre, right next to the shore, with amazing views of the Kirkjufell mountain. The Kirkjufellsfoss waterfall and Kirkjufell mountain itself were just a few minutes drive away. There was a restaurant right next to the guesthouse. The guesthouse had its own car park with plenty of spaces. We had no problems with parking our car, even though we arrived very late. There were no problems with late check in either. The room was not very big, but it was clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. The beds were comfortable, and there were thick curtains on the window, which helped us to have proper sleep despite the midnight sun. The bathroom was clean, the toiletries and towels were provided. Wifi worked fine. There was no kettle in the room, but there was a large shared kitchen with a dining area located on the same floor. It had everything we needed to prepare and eat a meal, or just to make some tea or coffee.

The room was located on the upper floor, but there was no lift, so we had to carry our luggage upstairs. Not a huge problem to us, though, just something to be aware of. Please also note that the guests are supposed to leave their shoes and boots downstairs (there is a shoe rack provided), so make sure to bring your slippers.

This property is excellent - exactly what we were looking for. It was very easy to check in, even though there is no reception. A quick WhatsApp to the owner and she was there quickly to let us in. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was great. The shared kitchen is what was really helpful to us - large fridge, with a freezer, and lots of cooking space. The sink and cooking area gets a little busy at mealtimes, but this is to be expected. There is a lot of seating in the kitchen to sit and eat your food. Lots of dishes, utensils, and pots and pans. The property has an excellent view of Kirkjufell. I would recommend to anyone to stay here.

Everything met or exceeded our expectations, however the bath towels definitely could be a little softer.

The location is outstanding with the view of Kirkjufell mountain and perfect starting point for the Peninsula loop. The rooms were comfortable and the common kitchen is a nice feature. We met the Icelandic owner, who was very nice and interesting to talk to. Definitely book the sea view rooms.

The only issue we had is that we had booked one night in a regular room and then one night separately in a sea view room. There was no way to leave the luggage at the guesthouse, so we had to put everything back in our car and then bring it up again in the evening.

The rooms were comfortable and we had a nice view of the ocean and mountains. The shower was great! They had a nice kitchen though we didn't use it. The staff was very helpful.

We had asked for two rooms next to each other nearly 3 months before our visit. (We have a 3 year old and 13 year old). They did not have the rooms next to each other upon arrival but there was only 1 room separating us. It wasn't a big deal though and we made it work. I think they had a pool but never found it.

Location was excellent Easy check in instructions though a bit more clear labeling at the main reception window guiding directions to the apartment ( instead of an arrow) would be ideal. Clean when checked in however there was a damp smell on my bedspread ( only mine the rest of the family were not impacted).

Damp smell on my bed spread. We stayed for two nights and the towels should have been changed in between. Specially the damp bathroom floor mat.

I would give a 5 star just because of the location of it. Very close to the center and have AMAZING views of Kirkjufell mountain. There is a shoe rack at the entrance, always had ample space. The rooms were clean and the necessary amenities were provided. Has a kitchen as well and I saw everyone mentioned how busy it was. We had the kitchen all to ourselves in the morning. Also the kitchen has the best views.

There is no elevator and that’s the only thing lacking at this place.

Although booking it as some simple accomodation to stay over ningt I got much more from what we hoped for. The guesthouse feels like a hotel with very comfortable and spatious rooms. There was also a well equiped kitchen/common area serving very well the purpose. The communication with staff was very spot on and easy. Last and not least the location is fantastic offering unique view to the iconic Kirkjufell mountain.

Hardly anything to be mentioned here.
