I was a bit apprehensive when I booked room at this property, although I had gone through mostly very good reviews online. It was a revelation from the moment we arrived. It is a very new smallish boutique hotel on the boulevard next to Dal Lake. Check-in was seamless with very efficient and customer friendly staff. Good sized rooms, very well appointed. We had chosen Lake facing rooms which gave a fantastic view of the house boats in the lake. Very good choice of toiletries and kit. Super sleep comfort. The Waterfront restaurant on the top floor is an asset, with a superb view of the lake and the snow covered mountains beyond, with outdoor sitting options as well. Probably one of the best places to eat in Srinagar, as we saw many locals coming in. The menu is quite extensive, and the quality and taste of cuisine is simply fabulous. All the staff at the restaurant were so attentive at every table, extremely efficient and service top notch. Serving always with a smile and going that extra mile. A special mention of Manager Ishfan & Pankaj at the restaurant. Needless to say everyone at Vintage went that extra mile to ensure that we were comfortable. This hotel is definitely "the place" if one is seeking to stay somewhere other than the chain hotels. A hotel which has a human side to it.

We had arrived early.The hotel was kind enough to keep our bags while we explored Srinagar. The view from the room is very scenic. The pictures don’t do justice. The room is spectacular and very well maintained. Best part was we got a direct sunset on Dal Lake view from our room! We visited the hyped Chinar restaurant at Lalit Srinagar and but we had a much better experience at the fantastic rooftop restaurant. You get to enjoy the sunrise as you get a panoramic view of the hills and mountains around Dal lake. And you also get to witness the morning scenes at Dal lake - zero tourists and Kashmir at its best natural mode (fishermen, local folks - on their personal Shikaras…. paradise for photographers). Also, this restaurant is the most popular amongst all the hotels in the area. We ourselves struggled with dinner reservations so that keep that in mind. The food quality was also the best that we had in entire Kashmir trip. Their Kashmiri specialty - Ruangan Chaman (paneer on tomato curry) and Kunguch Pulao (pulao rice with exotic mushrooms) is a must try!

We were informed that dinner reservations were needed for the rooftop. But the manager was helpful to arrange one. Just a small feedback to inform and prioritise restaurant reservations for your inhouse guests.

Top notch hospitality …. Reception staff Restaurant staff House keeping Security…. All are always alert pleasing friendly helpful … much better than many five star hotels I had stayed .

Water mixing system in bathroom is worst . One May get too hot or too cold water all of a sudden in middle of shower . One cannot bathe peacefully, need to be alert or you will get hurt .

The food was excellent, staff were very good and very friendly. Our waiter Faroz was very attentive and helpful. Lovely view of the lake from the restaurant, very clean and very quiet room.

The stay was perfect - the hotel was actually better in person than the pictures on the website.

Fantastic location and view from the hotel, property well maintained just the look of washrooms kills the interiors theme, their terrace restaurant is the TRP of the hotel recommended as the best choice in the area as compared to other hotels in the same area.

Just the booking rates that vary at the time of booking that is exorbitant should match as per the rate available on that day on the portal or at least the hotel can offer complimentary services of the high price taken earlier rest all good

1. It is located in a crowded street far away from the tourist places. It is supposed to overlook the Lake but actually faces a thin finger of the Lake crowded with houseboats parked very close. 2. The rooftop restaurant has a limited menu and takes a long time to serve but the quality of food is good.

Location was very good. We enjoyed morning and evening walks by the lake. Room and shower were very clean. Restaurant was wonderful. Near by there were many more options to eat. We enjoyed our stay here.

Carpet in the hallway was bit dirty. Front reception staff could have been interactive and friendly.

Good location on the lake, good for morning walks and restaurants nearby. Comfortable large rooms, with everything that you need. Bathroom was large and clean. The restaurant on the roof was the highlight. Good service, food and views.

Rooms are nice, spacious. Location bang Opposite Dal lake, though this means it's a busy & noisy location. Restaurant is nice.

Hardly any space in hotel compound. Location gets noisy due to tourist activities at Dal lake. Not the best place to relax. Part view from hotel is parking lot.

Hotel is located near the dal lake and market. Rooms were clean and nice. The staff was well trained and deserve the best appreciation. The restaurant was the best part of the hotel.

I think the only thing which can be added is a mini fridge in the rooms.
