We would like to thank the manager Mika and the whole team for the very friendly and helpful service, not only in the hotel but with all our activities. The hotel is very clean, the rooms spacious including a terras with view on the river, the hotel is like you see on the pictures. The pool is great and if the kids wanted to swim in the evening this was no issue. The food was very good and very precise (meaning they took into account all requirements, especially the ones from the kids). We also liked that the staff enterained our children like doing a ride on a bike. I see comments about many insects in the rooms but this was very rare. We recommend this hotel.

It is a very tastefully done boutique Safari hotel. The entrance is so welcoming and the views from the dining deck is so scenic specially during sunset. The rooms were very spacious with interesting artworks and great views of the river and forest. The bathroom has a special feature of an outdoor rain shower. The best part was the warm welcome by Mr Dammika and his team. They prepared excellent juices for us and the food was great too! You really don't need to step out of the hotel once you have checked in unless you are going for a safari.

We loved the setting of the property, across a river and surrounded by lush greenery. The rooms are very spacious and modern looking, the bathroom is half outdoors - watch out for little critters! The location is very quiet, away from any roads and other hotels. Birds and lizards can be seen from the balcony. Safaris can be arranged at the hotel, a small breakfast is provided to take with you for the early start.

As there are no restaurants or shops in the vicinity, the easiest and only option is to have dinner at the hotel, where meals are nothing to write home about. Best to pack some snacks in advance.

This is a beautiful setting right by the river with so much wildlife right outside your door. The rooms are beautifully done and very comfortable. The outside bathroom can get a bit wild but it adds to the experience. We had such a wonderful evening safari organised via the accommodation. Our driver Santha was beyond excellent! He could spot a tiny lizard from miles away, and knew so much about the birds and animals. The elephants are beautiful and we never felt crowded or rushed. He knew we loved birds and specifically took us to spots to see as much as possible in the time. A big thank you to him!

The food at the restaurant wasn’t amazing but it was convenient for the location. There is a great spot ‘the garlic cafe’ a few mins walk out thats well worth checking out! The driver we booked through the hotel for our departure was the worst driver we had the whole trip. We are very relaxed about driving in Sri Lanka and sharing the road with so many other vehicles (and dogs!) but this guy had no care for anyone else, nearly hit many dogs, and cyclists! We were on edge the whole way. We think his name was Nirashan, just slow down. We don’t need to arrive fast, just alive.

The place is totally lovey, nicely decorated, well maintained, spacious rooms, the shower is just supercool. The place is at a nice quiet area but close to everything. We had some difficulty on our way and arrived after check-in hours. We managed to call the owner and he was soo helpful, they even put aside a superb dinner even we arrived after the the kitchen was closed. The staff and the manager were also very friendly and helpful. We would certainly will come back to this place when around. Totally recommended. We went on a safari arranged by the hotel, the pricing was good and the cars were in great condition. We went on 3 hours and that was good for us. (tip: ask a car with armholders at the seats - we happened to have one and just realized how comfy it comes at bumpy roads in the park :)) Wish we could stay longer.

The property was as shown on booking .com. The family room and bathroom were really spacious and comfortable and had its own terrace which looked over the lovely pool. Really nice location, the dining area overlooked the river and the property had a lovely feel about it. Quiet and calm, off the national park “strip” but only 15 min away. We did not organise the safari with the hotel, but Buddika safaris collected us from the hotel no problem. (And gave us a great driver at the best price we found). We had made our hotel booking with them originally but the kids voted for a pool. It was definitely worth it to change the reservation for the pool.

I had read reviews about the food being not so good. We agree that the food wasn’t exceptional, but it was fine and plentiful. However, it was very expensive for what it was. 2 beers by the pool and basic dinner for four with a few more beers was as expensive as our stay. (About $65!) not a showstopper but not for the budget/value conscious traveller and did take a little of the shine off of our stay.

We stayed one night and it was amazing. The hotel premises make you feel like you're in a movie. The room we stayed in was beyond gorgeous with a balcony in the jungle. Everything was clean and spacious. The Manager knew everything and he was so helpful and the stuff is incredibly kind. They booked for us a safari on time and at a very good price. They also have a restaurant you can dine in. The pool is lovely and you can enjoy all day till the sunset. The breakfast has eggs mostly and toasted bread but big porportions. I totally recommend it. It's a gem! 💎 💎 💎

Amazing place and wonderful staff. The settings are so beautiful overlooking a river and surrounded by nature. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The pool is very clean and great for cooling off. The staff organised us a wonderful morning safari with packed breakfast. Food at the restaurant here is also very nice and reasonably priced. We have been in Sri Lanka for one month and I think this is the best place we have stayed. 10/10!

Great accommodation! We had a lovely stay. The rooms are clean and spacious and the pool is wonderful. We had breakfast and diner there, which was very nice. No need to leave the premises… They arranged the afternoon safari for us which was just perfect! We saw so many nice animals! The guide was very knowledgeable and took a quiet route. The staff at the resort is just so nice and helpful! We really recommend staying there! Great views of the river and so many beautiful birds, the safari starts at your arrival❤️❤️❤️ can’t wait to ga back one day.

The WiFi wasn’t working that well the second night. But it was raining very very heavily so I think that might have been the problem…

Very nice location, our room was very clean and comfortable, and the joint space was well kept and welcoming. There is a fun and large pool that the kids loved. The staff was very nice and helpful, efficiently arranged for the safari jeep and knowledgeable guide, and the lovely fruit snacks and water for the early morning tour were a nice touch. We definitely recommend the place!

It seems there are very nice new rooms, but the older ones we stayed in which were overall not too bad may need some refreshing. Make sure you have mosquito repellent since there are some nasty bugs...
