The hotel is perfectly located near Ikebukuro station with several subway lines including the JR Line. You find plenty of shopping and dining opportunities as well entertainment options around. Still, it’s not that busy and crowded area like e.g. Shibuya, therefore the perfect location after an exhausting sightseeing day . The rooms are clean and modern, spacy considering Japan and quiet. The staff is absolutely friendly and helpful. The hotel offers different pillows for your comfort sleep as well plenty of accessories for ladies and men to choose for free. Of course we enjoyed the free drinks during „tea time“ from 5-8pm. The Onsen is pretty small, but clean and relaxing. Overall, a perfect stay for a very reasonable price.

Everything was just perfect for us, nothing to complain.

this is truly a super hotel! large selection of pillows, onsen, large selection of toiletries.

I couldn’t try breakfast, I have to order in advance, it’s not indicated anywhere, when booking 3 months in advance there was no room with breakfast to choose from, it’s difficult to understand how to do it. Hotel visitors should have access to breakfast without a reservation.

A really great hotel very close to the Ikebukuro metro station! From the moment you enter on the ground floor, the building has a lovely scent, which is always a good sign ;) The reception staff are beyond friendly, as is usual for Japan, but the lovely ladies here were definitely even more polite than usual. The hotel has a free evening welcome bar with all kinds of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, which is an amazing addition for someone who's just had a full day of travel. You can pick your own pillow and pyjamas, and all the necessary amenities are free (creams, razors, even hair elastics and digestive supplements). The onsen on the women-only floor is also amazing! Very clean for a public bath and contains all the necessary amenities too so you can have a quiet time to yourself getting ready after the bath.

I did feel that the onsen is a bit too small for a hotel of this size (at times I went around 1-2AM and it was very crowded even in the off-peak season for travel)

-Location is great and the room is big enough for suitcases -hot springs on different floors for man/woman (also has password for woman’s) -free bar from 5pm-9pm -refa hair dryer -most of their staffs are very friendly -Slippers or carpet are smelly in some rooms -I need to change rooms twice for 5 days in Sakura season. On the day of the first time I told one of their staff I would still be here for 3 days, and I just need 30 mins to package, she said it’s OK. Around 10:35 a young man staff stood outside my door when I opened the door, he asked me to pay 1000 yen for 1 hour. I explained but he insisted I have to pay. No one told me before and finally we agreed no charges for this time, however, the next day I have to check out exactly before 10:00. This is a little bit inconvenient and less impersonal. Even 1000yen is reasonable, the hotel should be inform customers on the front desk during check in, not to mention for customer staying here for 5 days.

The staff was exceptionally nice and professional. Arrived too early to go into my room, the woman at the counter explained everything in good english, and i could leave my suitcase there until it was time to get up to my room. you can take 5 little things per day from their little amenity counter, which includes everything from face serum to razors. There's also the possibility to pick your pajamas as well as select your own pillow, which i was really excited about. The room, albeit small, was comfortable and just provided enough space to rest and unwind after a long day. I cant say anything for their Spa program, because i wasn't using it. There's a laundromat as well, that costs 200 Yen per washing (the dryer is free) which was AMAZING because i was staying there for a long time. The room only gets cleaned when you request it (put the sign on the door) if not you just get new towels, trashbags, toothbrush and a drink daily hanged on your door handle :)

there's nothing i didnt like. the stay was overall very pleasant and comfortable.

The hotel staff are excellent, extremely helpful and always polite. We felt very welcome the moment we arrived. The location was great, only a short distance to the main train station which made travel around Tokyo easy. The breakfast and welcome bar were awesome, no complaints at all! The Onsen does have a no tattoo policy, which was slightly disappointing but completely understandable. The amenities were wonderful, with oils, shavers, creams, comfy PJs and more..... Would definitely return if we find ourselves in Tokyo again! Thank you :)

Rooms were slightly smaller than other places we stayed during our time in Japan, however were quite comfortable.

Staff were amazing! So attentive and always on duty. Bathhouse was small but enjoyable. Amenities are fantastic, choose your own pillow!! Comfy pj's. Toiletries galore...they thought of everything! Great quite location about 15min from station but lots of convenience, Don Qi and food stops. It's away from the centre but it's very accessible on foot. Bakery downstairs was easy and tasty. Blackout curtains were great. Room was small but ok as there is an bar and seating area upstairs. Also bathhouse! Vending machine in building and access to free bar - handy.

Stayed in 4 rooms and they were separated. One child was next door but the other was as far away as possible. My 14yr stated all the way around the corner at the furthest away room, and they put him in a room that had a smoker previously. It wasn't very thoughtful, no one wants their kid in a smoke stinking room...do they? The third child was between us and the furthest. Perhaps the room types prevented it. Unsure. We had to go all around the floor rounding up the family. Not ideal. Had to stay up to midnight to use the one washer/dryer.

Hotel is close to the train station. Onsen is located near the laundry so you may as well soak in the Onsen while you are waiting for your laundry. Wash only cost 200 Y, Dryer was Free. Don Quiote is just down the block. 7Eleven just around the corner. A Bakery with coffee is right next to the Hotel entrance. Free wine and drinks between 5-7pm. A free taxi phone right at the lobby to call a cab for pick up Borrow an umbrella from the rack as you leave the hotel. No need to buy one. I shipped all my luggage to my next city hotel with the help of the front desk staff. They were great.

The Onsen was wonderful. I had never visited an onsen before, I really enjoyed it. The open create your own drink bar in the evenings had a very nice assortment of wines, spirits, and mixers, to include some Japanese favorites I had never tried. The pillow bar was much appreciated, as the buckwheat(?) pillow that was in my room was a little firmer than what I am used to. Everything was very clean - the room, the onsen, the hotel. I would definitely book a stay here again!

The bed was a bit firmer than my liking, but not so uncomfortable that I couldn't sleep. Also, the room was a bit cold until I figured out how to adjust the thermostat.

- breakfast is very very good, fresh, very good balance between Japanese and Western style - drink bar in the afternoon good for refreshment in the afternoon - bed is very comfortable and the choosing of your own pillow helps to increase the comfort even more - one of the few hotels that actually take the SDG thinking seriously - staff is very friendly and helpful

- not really negative, but since the space in the Onsen is limited, you could have to wait a little in the evening when it is very crowded (but the quality of the water is worth the wait!)
