The place is great! I love the location. I’ve been staying at this place quite a few times over the years.

Over the years I’ve aged and now have hip arthritis. I’m not able to get up on high beds. I asked for a handicap room. I got it but the bed is so high I couldn’t get up on it without excruciating pain. Also, when I showered, the floor mat was no help at all as the shower floor is way slippery. There is no none slip flooring. I slipped twice but was able to catch myself before going down. I understand you must have thought of people in wheelchairs but those of us that don’t need it can easily fall

The Front Desk Clerk (I believe her name is Pam) when we arrived was very friendly and helpful in recommending a good restaurant where we could have dinner even though it was late in the evening. The lady in charge of the breakfast (I believe her name is Rowella) is a very friendly, fun person who clearly takes pride in her work. She is also especially helpful, because when she saw me trying to cut up an apple with a plastic knife, she offered to take it into the kitchen and cut it up with a real knife. Last but not least, the La Quinta Inn in Ely, Nevada, is the ONLY hotel (of any brand) we have stayed at in the last several years that ACTUALLY HAS A FUNCTIONING TV IN THE FITNESS ROOM!!! That alone is cause for us to recommend it!

Enjoyed using the pool and the hot tub. One of the best hot tubs we've had ever experienced at a hotel . The Jets were really strong . They had a Hot breakfast With a wide variety Cereals Fruit Muffins Yogurt . My husband loves the waffles. There were biscuits and gravy and the biscuits were delicious. However the omelets tasted like they were made of the fake egg substitute and had that cheap goey cheese inside . they weren't exceptional . I would have also like to have some bacon or sausage available. Orange juice was out of order. The staff did a good job of keeping the breakfast items supplied and the area clean.

The price. It was a little spendy I felt. Also I didn't like being reminded to do that online check in and I got several reminders via text and email to check in online. What's the big deal? You still have to wait in line for your keys. I don't see that it's much of a convenience

This hotel had a great hot breakfast. A good variety of items on the buffet. A very nice setting to eat. The hotel is located in a pretty central area to get to anything in Ely. NV. I liked it because we were about 7 minutes away from the Railyard. It is located close to a grocery store and several restaurants are not too far away. The room itself was quite spacious and had a refrigerator and a nice chair to lounge in. The parking was good.

The pillows were too large and bulky for my taste. There were not enough parking spaces for the hotel.

The rooms are great. Perfect. Breakfast was good the view was stunning. Staff was wonderful

The cards constantly came unlinked. Even when we just kept them on the dresser away from all magnets and cellphones it was irritating. If you book a family back light. There is no elevator. Both of those things are mild inconveniences. It's just that I had a week stay packed for five people and the bags were just so heavy to take up two flights of stairs. We either drug most of the stuff up or had to have two people carry the duffle bags at the same time. Lots of up and down to pack in and out. Heads up just in case you have the rooms on the 500 floor pack light.

Lovely hotel where we made good use of the swimming pool and hot tub. Breakfast was also appreciated and it did have slight changes each day which is welcome. There's a good Mexican restaurant nearby and a large supermarket next door. Short walk to the excellent railway museum where you can take a ride on a heritage train.

We had to change rooms the first evening as the noise from the next door room was too much. It was done without any difficulty thanks to the desk staff. Ely is a strung out place and you are on the East side, the main centre is a drive away - just bear in mind. It does mean you are in a peaceful area.

The breakfast was excellent everyday and a good variety was available. The breakfast area was clean and well taken care of and the friendly staff was willing to help you warm anything up or help you when necessary and the food items were always well stocked. Our room we stayed in was very quiet and clean. Everything was well maintained and the shower had plenty of pressure and our bed was comfortable. The housekeeping staff was excellent.

We have no complaints. We ended up staying an extra night because we enjoyed our first two night stay so much.

Ely is a town separated from the rest of the world by miles of remoteness in any direction. When a night's rest is very needed, the La Quinta serves the purpose better than any other Ely option that I have experienced. Surely you can find newer and more luxurious lodging in a big city, but the Ely La Quinta does a great job with the facilities they have to work with. Staff is friendly and helpful, cleanliness is top notch, all no-smoking rooms a bonus, breakfast is more than adequate, and plenty of nighttime parking at the Riley's supermarket next door.

I have absolutely nothing to criticize. Driving the length of the state of Nevada is not for the faint of heart, and the Ely La Quinta is so much better than trying to sleep in your vehicle or falling asleep at the wheel. Don't wait too long to make your reservation; we were fortunate to grab the last room.

My mother and I were driving thru and stayed at La Quinta. From the moment I walked in the door and was greeted by the friendly and competent front desk staff, I can only say great things. The room was clean and comfortable. I loved the large compact refrigerator and the microwave in the room. It added to the convenience. The breakfast offerings were plentiful and had great options. The breakfast staff were extremely friendly. I absolutely will stay here again when I pass thru Ely and will recommend to family and friends.

Size of room and grounds and buildings were in tip top shape. Breakfast was wonderful with a huge selection of food and beverages. Excellent checking in and out. Nice staff and very nice facility all in all. Very quiet. We had two Executive Suite rooms across from each other and they were very roomy like two entire rooms combined, with had a couch that made into a bed, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and nice large rooms. Nice sized bathrooms as well.

I can't think of anything that "I didn't like".
