We had a wonderful stay at this hotel while traveling as a family with a toddler. Although the hotel is a bit outdated in appearance, we were pleased to see that renovation work is already underway, showing real commitment to improving the space. What truly stood out—and made our stay exceptional—was the level of cleanliness. Every corner of our room was immaculate, from the sparkling bathroom fixtures to the crisp, freshly made beds. As parents with a toddler crawling around, we were incredibly grateful for the exceptional standards of hygiene. It gave us genuine peace of mind. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist, and the breakfast was delicious, offering a variety of fresh, high-quality options perfect for both kids and adults. We felt comfortable, cared for, and safe. Highly recommended, especially for families who prioritize cleanliness and friendly service.

A Pleasant Stay in the Heart of La Rioja I recently had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Ciudad de Haro. This hotel offers a great blend of traditional charm and comfortable amenities, making it a solid choice for exploring the La Rioja wine region. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and good advice, which really made a difference to our experience. Our room was clean and comfortable, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing. We particularly appreciated the ample free parking, which is a huge convenience when traveling by car. The pool area was a lovely bonus, offering a refreshing spot to relax and unwind, especially after a warm day. While our stay was largely excellent, a few minor touches could elevate the experience further. The decor, while charming, felt a little dated in some areas, and the air conditioning in our room, while functional, wasn't as powerful as we'd hoped on a particularly warm evening. Overall, the Hotel Ciudad de Haro provides excellent value and a very welcoming atmosphere. It’s a great base for exploring Haro and the surrounding wineries, and I would certainly recommend it for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Clean and comfortable hotel on outskirts of Haro with parking. Excellent value for money, friendly helpful staff on reception. Original booking was for 1 night but we stayed another. We walked into town which was about 20 minutes (no bars on the way!) and were happy with that but others might not be. Lovely swimming pool at the back. We had a side room so no noise - a good stop to explore Haro and the surrounding villages

Crossing the road to head into town was a bit scary!!!!

The receptionist was friendly, caring and welcoming. She went above and beyond to ensure I was safe. As a lone woman travelling that got lost she gave me her WhatsApp number and calmly directed me to the property. She was very caring and made me feel safe.

The restaurant was closed and there was nowhere nearby to purchase food except a garage across the road with pre packed sandwiches. After a long journey I wanted to eat.

There is a nice pool,open very limited time in the year. When I entered the pool It wasnt prefect clean and all the srounding to lie in the beach beds are quite a bit old. If they open it a month in a year,why not to close it and put more efforts in the the rooms,cleaning,fixing,make over. The corridors and the lobby is old but really nice.

It seems to be under new management. The staff were friendly and my room was spacious. The bar was open with some basic snacks until 8pm. There is a service station across the road.

There is not much to do in the area. It's about a 30 minute walk to the town centre.

Swimming pool was excellent!

Outer window was broken so traffic noisy all night ! Fridge was broken and didn’t work! Restaurant was closed! Bar cafe only open to 8.00

I like the location, friendly staff and good parking space. The hotel is under renovation with new management, so small thing not good but other than all ok

Good location, helpful and friendly staff.

Even though there is a large dining room no meals were available, only snacks, which were nice nevertheless.

The staff really tried helping us when the ac did not work in our room. They allegedly eed us yo change rooms at 1215 am
