Beautiful terrace and pool area overlooking the tomb of Ben Haddou and the kasbah. The whole place is authentically decorated and has a really lovely homely feeling. Good breakfast and spotlessly clean. The best thing about it is the staff, in particular Abdul. He greeted us with such warmth and offered us complimentary tea on the terrace after showing us to our room. I was travelling with my teenage son, just the two of us, and he got really sick during our stay. A really bad case of food poisoning we think (not from the hotel) Abdul was so kind keeping us topped up with bottled water and toilet paper and making sure I was ok and had what I needed. His kindness made things a lot easier!

I like a hard bed but it was like sleeping on concrete and made sleep difficult.

As always (we have stayed a number of times over a few years) the Auberge Ksar Ait Ben Haddou has got to be the best, friendliest and in an ideal location. While many people stay for only one night, staying more than one night in our experience is a “must” as there is so much to see and visit in the area. The breakfast and meals are excellent and the two Abdul’s (owner & manager) really do make their customers so welcome. They will provide plenty of advice and information on where to visit when staying in the area.

Absolutely nothing.

The location and layout of this property is fantastic. The common area and terrace are all on the first floor, making it private from the road, with views of Ben Haddou. Abdul, the english speaking manager, was so thoughtful and considerate to us during our three days, offering tea or help with anything we asked for, and more. He made large and tasty breakfasts, and bought fruit for us when we couldn't find any. We had an air-conditioned room with a comfortable double plus single bed, so we had plenty of luggage space. It had Berber decor, making it very unique. The ensuite had a good shower and sink. The small pool has very clean and cold water, great after our hot hikes.

The hotel is very close to the old town of Ait Ben Haddou, it’s just a 10 minute walk to the ruins on top of the mountain. There’s plenty of parking right in front of the hotel. The thing we loved the most is the very attentive staff that really tries to make you feel at home and are always happy to help you with whatever you may ask. The food is absolutely delicious. We had breakfast, lunch & dinner at the hotel and they were all exceeding our expectations. The rooms are quite basic, but since the price is so low we didn’t mind this at all.

The rooms are quite dark and one of our towels didn’t smell very fresh.

Free parking outside. Excellent breakfast. Great outdoor area with swimming pool, tables, and shade. Can walk to the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah which is only 10 minutes away. Great for exploring it in the morning at sunrise and having it all to yourself before organized tours arrive. Room was very confortable with air conditioning. Totally recommend.

There was nothing I didn't like.

This was a brilliant hotel in a brilliant location. The room was perfect and the dinner and breakfast leaves nothing to want for. The owner and staff are so helpful and friendly (like we have found all the Berbers & Moroccan throughout our month in this beautiful country. They even organised a private tour of the village where so many movies have been filmed. As I have said we can not speak highly enough of our 2 day stay at this hotel and the location. Thank you so much for making us so welcome.

NOTHING apart from not staying longer.

We enjoyed our stay. The pool was great to cool down after a very hot walk around the Kasbah. Breakfast was good and coffee was good. Value for money.

We had 2 rooms booked. One room had hot water and one room had no hot water. Fortunately it was a hot day!! I read in previous reviews about the hot water problem and assumed they would have sorted it out! One room had a pool view and one room had a view from the back side of the Kasbah.

The staff was super friendly and helpfull for everything. The location was really great for explore Ait Ben haddou. Auberge Ksar look very good but the swimming pool was empty during our time because of the Earthquake unfortunately. breakfast was really big and good.

No water in the swimming pool, would be nice know it before booking it for 2 night. the wifii was not working in our room, but one of the guys was so nice to buy me some internet for the phone. Shower could be much better for this price.

Quite a normal place, as we have experience many in Morocco: good reception, room and bathroom are nice and clean. The breakfast was nice too. What really makes the difference is the pool and the terrace: if you stay here, leave yourself some time to relax in the fresh water of the pool (we enjoyed it a lot, since we were basically the only people in there. It might get a bit cramped if many people use it simultaneously, since it's a bit small) and sunbathe on the terrace. It felt really luxurious. The location is quite good, walking distance from the main tourist attractions

This was one of the few places where we were not welcomed so warmly. Just normally. That's totally OK, but Morocco really spoiled us! The room was good and clean, but maybe not great.

Traditional superbly quiet place! Just what my soul craved for. Hotel clerk Mohammed, was attentive to every need and exceptionally helpful!!!! Very pleased with my experience and will be returning to this little place on the edge of the desert!!!!
