This place is so magical. It was the best hotel during our road trip. We had a wonderful stay at this riad! The breakfast was delicious – especially the omelet made with fresh eggs and all the tasty extras. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and the beds are very comfortable. There's a lovely scent throughout the entire place that adds to the relaxing atmosphere. A special thank you to the amazing staff, especially Yassine, who truly made our stay unforgettable. He took the time to explain our entire route to the desert and gave us great recommendations for places to visit along the way. His kindness and helpfulness went above and beyond. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay in Riad Chay & Boutique. The property was excellent, very clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. What really made the difference was the staff — everyone was kind and helpful, and Youssef in particular was extremely welcoming and professional. His hospitality and knowledge made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

The access is through a dirt road, which at first seemed unusual, but in the end it added to the charm of being surrounded by an authentic and unspoiled village atmosphere

Riad Chay is absolutely stunning! We were warmly welcomed by Ali, who made our stay feel extra special. While drinking our welcome tea on arrival, he suggested some great local places to explore and remained a friendly and familiar presence throughout our visit. Every member of the team we met was kind and attentive, and we genuinely felt at home. The riad itself is beautiful, and our room was even more impressive than the photos. The rooftop is gorgeous, and there’s a charming little garden to stroll through as well. Breakfast was delicious, and the peaceful setting just outside Ouarzazate was perfect for us. Highly recommend if you are looking for a calm, welcoming, and stylish place to stay.

We stayed 1 night at Riad Chay & Boutique as a stopover on our road trip. The riad has a cozy and relaxing vibe, with a nice mix of traditional and modern design. The room was clean and comfortable, though the bathroom could be improved a bit. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food at the restaurant. Dinner was so-so, and breakfast was good. One tip: Google Maps / Booking directions didn’t work for us, but the hotel’s road signs were clear and led us right to the place – very helpful! Great choice if you need a quiet and pleasant place to rest before continuing your journey.

Nestled in the heart of Ouarzazate’s stunning palm groves, Riad Chay & Boutique is a true hidden gem that offers an authentic Moroccan experience with modern comforts. From the moment you arrive, you are welcomed with warm hospitality, making you feel at home in this beautifully designed riad.

The riad is a perfect blend of traditional Berber charm and contemporary elegance. Each room is uniquely decorated with vibrant Moroccan touches, while large bay windows allow natural light to flood in, creating a serene and cozy atmosphere. The attention to detail in the decor, from handcrafted furniture to intricate textiles, enhances the authenticity of the stay.

Our host was great and welcomed us, explained the surroundings and gave recommendations about several possible attractions (very good english). Room was really great, clean, spacious, bathroom clean and nice. Rooftop terrace also great. Entire place was made with attention to details. We liked it a lot. Keep in mind it is 10 minutes drive from the city and there is nothing around. We liked it.

Food was OK, we had dinner and breakfast, but both were just OK. I would see a space for improvement, especially considering breakfast. It wasn't bad, but most ingredients were just cheap options from supermarket. From such place I would expect high quality locally produced food. We had better in Morocco but also worst and we pick places based on opinions about food.

This riad was an unexpected joy. The small village location just outside Ouarzazate was peaceful and fascinating, with an interesting walk into town. The riad is beautiful, set in flower and vegetable gardens. Our room was wonderful, with a view to die for. The heating and hot water were perfect. The breakfasts were a treat, and our evening meals were excellent, and very good value. The staff were so good, very professional but friendly, and all interested in furthering their languages. We spent three nights here and are counting down the days to our return.

Beautiful property run by the most amazingly welcoming and accommodating family. I would highly recommend to anyone driving from Marrakech to the desert, this is a great half way point. We had our own car and their parking is great. It is outside of the main town but this is to its benefit, the rooms and terrace have an amazing view over the river bed and the mountains. Also I would highly recommend dinner at the riad, the food is lovely. Breakfast was also really yummy - Berber options and European options including the most delicious home made yogurt. Thanks again Omar and team, we had a lovely stay.

This boutique hotel was incredible! The interior, surroundings and service made one feel as if in a five star hotel of another era. The room (we had a suite as a family of 3) was absolutely gorgeous. The windows on all sides gave out to a panoramic view of the sunrise over the palmerie. The terrace on the roof was wonderful for enjoying the sunset. They serve (alcohol free) drinks up there too. The staff were incredible friendly, helpful and happy to give recommendations. We wanted to eat in town and they gave us an excellent recommendation for seafood. Outside there’s a beautiful little garden where they grow herbs and vegetables and have a stream running through. This is definitely a place to unwind and relax. Finally the breakfast was out of this world. Homemade yogurt, Berber omelette, large warm delicious crepes. The best we have ever eaten in Morocco! We hope to be lucky enough to stay here again one day! Thank you so much hotel Chay team!

Riad Chay was a gem in Ouarzazate, and proved to be a wonderful place for us to stay; don't be fooled by the dust road leading to it - follow the signs and you'll find it! The staff were most welcoming. Yassine greeted us in the car park, took our bags and after checking us in, asked us where we were going next and, using the beautiful map mural on the wall of the reception, helped us to map our route through 'must see' spots, and gave us his recommendation of which roads to take. The room was extremely spacious, and our private balcony proved to be a wonderful little spot to star gaze at night, and watch the sun set against the Atlas mountains. The room windows are coated with privacy glass which was a very clever touch that we appreciated as it meant that we could enjoy the gorgeous view from our room without having to worry about other guests seeing in during the day. Breakfast was fresh fruits, eggs (berber omlette, which is delicious), moroccon bread (a staple everywhere you go), cake, a delicious home made yoghurt, and various condiments/spreads. Drinks available included freshly squeezed orange juice (delicious!!), moroccon tea, and coffee if you wish.
