Excellent located near the beach and beach restaurants, beachfront, but still in the local town. Nice relaxed mid-size town with shops and terrasses, old centre. train station close by to visit Genoa, and other places.

all rooms are classified as "superior" while we had booked 2 rooms. One room was small, the other large. room rate was 300 euro/night, we did not expect the small room. after 1 night we complained and they moved us to a larger room. It feels unrealistic and wrong to me to offer small and large rooms at the same price and qualification. General: the hotel (old historic building) has had a 'makeover' not a full renovation, which is still visible, (old electrical sockets, 2 old and small elevators).

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool is nice and big and not too crowded, no problem getting a sunbed. I liked the public balcony on the first floor. Room was spotlessly clean. Nice that there was a small fridge/mini bar. Breakfast was lovely.

The view from my room was awful. Back of the building and the bathroom was overlooked so I had to have the shutters closed the whole time. Also, it had adjoining doors to next room and I could hear everything the couple in the next room were saying/doing. No tea or coffee making facilities. Bed a bit hard. Don’t bother with the hotel beach at €51 per day for umbrella and 2 sun beds, better to buy a cheap umbrella and mats and use public beach.

Reception staff extremely helpful and service of restaurant staff could not be faulted. They were very friendly and went out of their way to help. Breakfast was good but some variation would have been nice for guests (like us) who were staying several days.

The only disappointment was the standard of fruit juices on offer at breakfast. Probably the worst we have had in any hotel. It was weak, watery with very little taste and definitely let down what would otherwise have been a good breakfast. The machine should be ditched as soon as possible as it is nowhere near the standard set by the staff.

Located next to the beach and the old town. Secure valet parking. Lovely view on the sea. Great pool and lots of options at buffet breakfast.

Whenever we took a shower the whole bathroom floor was wet as the seal between the shower area and the room did not do its job No toilet paper in the quite dirty toilets at the poolside. When I asked the responsible staff person she said she could not leave her post.

An old fashioned grand hotel (this is a compliment) on the sea front. We had a good room with a sea view. The reception staff were excellent. The food in the hotel restaurant was rather pretentious. Our first courses (bruschette and cured salmon) were excellent, the fish main dish rather skimpy, and the sauce (a parmesan cream) didn’t go well with the fish (red mullet). The evening wait staff were great, the breakfast wait staff (with one exception) were unhelpful. I’d use this hotel again, but try to find a better dining option.

- Towel hook on bathroom door was broken with no where else to hang your towel to dry. - Swimming pool is a little over 6 foot deep all over and no shallow area - also no indicator around the pool to say the depth. Not ideal when you don’t like to be out of your depth when swimming. - Safe in room decided to randomly not recognise our code so we couldn’t get our stuff out. Needed to ask Reception to sort it out immediately. In all fairness, they did fix it very quick. - No weights in the gym as shown in the booking.com photo which was disappointing. - Breakfast is a little chaotic and a table was never made up when we arrived. Always needed to find our own cutlery or ask for it.

check in easy, valet parked the car and assisted with luggage, room was lovely with great views of the sea, breakfast was excellent with many choices, pool was great with plenty of sun lounges. The hotel's beach is located on the other side of the marina, so access is by shuttle. However you can just walk across the road and jump in for a dip.

Lungomare beside the hotel, enough parkingspace, the room and beds were good. Breakfast was great and Spa was also great.

Where are all the palmtrees as showed on the picture of Booking.com The showerhead was broken. The safe did not work. Compared to other Grand Hotels, this hotel is a bit outdated.

Good swimming pool, excellent location, comfortable room and friendly staff and good breakfast

Parts of the hotel needed renovation in line with the rooms. Although the rooms were very nice and comfortable they could use some tea and coffee making facilities.. Gym could be bigger and better equipment. Rooms near the pool are disturbed with the entertainment until later in the evening.

Nice spot to spend the night on way down the coast. Easy access to train station and it was lovely getting the free shuttle van to the station on leaving. Excellent location across the road from the beach. Plenty of options for eating. Breakfast at hotel was nice and plenty of options. Staff helpful
