We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Astoria in Genoa. The entire staff is extremely attentive, friendly, and helpful – you feel welcome from the very first moment. The rooms are simply excellent: modern, comfortable, and very well maintained. Especially convenient: for those traveling by car, there is a parking garage nearby. For check-in and check-out, you can even stop directly in front of the hotel, which makes arrival very easy. Another big plus is that the staff are truly pet-friendly – our four-legged companion was warmly welcomed as well. We felt completely at home and can highly recommend this hotel and its fantastic team. Thank you for a wonderful time – we would be delighted to return!

I loved everything about this hotel. The location is perfect. All the tourist sights are walking distance and the train station is convenient for a day trip. The room is spacious and spotless. The hotel is beautiful. I loved the color scheme of the lobby and room. I didn't book the breakfast initially when I booked a hotel but ended up getting the breakfast everyday. The breakfast spread was generous and a very good value. The hotel provides water, juice and coca cola free of charge in the fridge. I called my mother in the States free from the phone in the hotel room. i utilized WhatsApp to arrange a transport. The staff is wonderful and kind. I highly recommend Hotel Astoria.

They were extremely inflexible. Due to a last-minute issue, we had to leave the hotel earlier than expected. However, their policy only allows changes up to 7 days prior to the arrival date. We explained the situation and even offered to arrive a day earlier, but the hotel was completely unaccommodating. Unfortunately, we ended up paying for a night we couldn’t use. This was very inconvenient, especially for travelers who may face unexpected changes in their plans.

I was very happy with the room (size and cleanness), staff and location of the hotel. It is in a location very close to a train station where you can take a train to Cinque Terre, Portofino, Camogli etc. Hotel was also walking distance to the city center (max 15 minutes to a very lively area with restaurants etc). Staff was very helpful; rooms were new and nicely decorated. We had a minor issue with the room in our first night and our room was immediately changed with a better one, staff was very helpful. I see in the comments that people were complaining about parking, but it was perfectly convenient. There were many blue parking lots around the hotel where we parked for free after 8 pm many times and there was a very big paid parking area 200 metres away from the hotel (it was like 17 Euro for 24 hours). Parking was very comfortable and convenient.

The Hotel is wonderful, in the entry with flowers the original lift is very charm, the location is also fine, the size of the room, at least mine, it was just okay, but the size of the bathroom with windows was also great. It was nice to have a night there because the bed and the pillow are really confy !

I did not like that was a bad smell in my room, like not fleshed , the size of the room was a bit small and the room where was close to the entry a bit noisy, also a bit pity that we do not have a parking place, but there is one closer ( but not 24h)

we have great affection for this hotel, and it was the third time that we stayed there. It’s become a little tradition for us to stop over at the Hotel Astoria for a night or two before we make our way to the Riviera, where we have a vacation home. The location near the train station is super convenient for us, and while some might not wish to walk a bit further to reach some of the city’s central attractions, we find it convenient to do so either by foot, subway, or bus. The staff here is extremely kind and helpful. i would also recommend their breakfast, which is high quality and served in a pleasant space.

This place exceeded our expectations. The photos don’t do the rooms justice, they were stunning, the ceilings are so high! It feels 100000% luxe, the worst thing about this hotel is that you feel no desire to leave the hotel and explore the town. We just relaxed and enjoyed some respite from the heat. Beds are luxurious and beautiful, gym was good for a light workout. Complimentary minibar and high end toiletries were a great treat. Concierge was very helpful, breakfast was lovely. Loved the classic elevator. You feel like you step into an old world hotel, With old world hospitality, but all the modern amenities. Wifi excellent. Highly recommended!

Only would be great to have some evening room service food options. We were there on a Sunday and it was hard to find places that were open.

This hotel is outstanding, from the professional, courteous staff to the immaculate attention to our room. No request was too much, which made us feel like valued guests. The location, close to Genova Brignole station, felt very safe and was convenient for metro, rail, good restaurants and nice pastry/coffee shops. I highly recommend the Hotel Astoria and hope to return soon. Thank you all for introducing us to beautiful Genova.

- the only thing we would improve would be the parking facilities: given the hotel’s rating, they should facilitate parking on the hotel’s premises either in a garage or they should offer the possibility of reserving one of the spots at the entrance; not the biggest deal, we parked in a nearby parking lot which was very secure but not open 24/7 so we couldn’t take the car out in the evening for example - the portable shower head was very small and it took a while for the water to heat up

Newly renovated, well-furbished, very clean hotel. Location is very well too, close to the downtown (walking distance) and to main transport hub (Piazza Brignole). The staff is very kind and helpful. Breakfast is a little bit expensive but very delicious and with grate varieties. The room was very tidy, air conditioning functioned well.

Our room was located in the front part of the hotel looking to the little square at the front and it was a little bit noisy because of the road and rail traffic.
