Our experience at Hotel Floyd was outstanding! From our greeting at the reception to our check out, the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was tastefully decorated and everything was clean and well maintained. The location off the Blue Ridge Parkway was perfect end to that day of our trip and was less than 30 minutes from Maybry Mill. The city itself was small but picturesque and we plan on going back in the future for a longer stay.

If you’re in a hurry, may not be the best location since it’s a little off the beaten track, but if you’re just exploring around Blue Ridge Parkway I’d plan to make it one of your overnight stops.

The hotel is right off the main highway through town, which made it easy to get to the festival site every day. Just a quick 15 minutes drive from some fabulous music and a great experience. The location is also just around the corner from "downtown" Floyd, an easy walk away. The food and vendors in that area were an added bonus to our trip. The breakfast was hot and fresh every morning, with variety from day to day. The people were very nice and accommodating to our needs, without exception. We would definitely consider Hotel Floyd for future travel in this area.

This was our first stay at Hotel Floyd. We found the property very well kept and tidy, and well situated right in town. Our room was spacious, as was the bathroom. There is not a lot of bathroom counter space, and could benefit from some wall hooks. Beds were comfortable with nice fresh bedding and ample pillows. Our room was an outdoor entry room, which we liked, and the view from our window was of a very old cemetery, which we walked through after dinner and explored. We were able to park next to the building, which was lucky. Walked to dinner at the very close by Mexican restaurant, which we loved, and then did some exploring. The town is a great walking town, which is easy to do from this hotel, and is why we choose it. Breakfast was good and had everything you'd expect, and it was hot and plentiful. We would definitely return to Hotel Floyd and would recommend it to other travelers.

The hotel is in the centre of Floyd and a short walk to the country store. The room was big, clean and comfortable and had a microwave and fridge. Bathroom was great. We stayed with our two teenage daughters and we all loved our stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful and there's a little shop in reception selling basic toiletries and snacks etc which was very handy. Breakfast is a help yourself buffet but had a decent range of choices and was perfectly fine. Parking was very easy. We arrived a little early and they said parking at the hotel before we'd checked in was fine. They also actually let us check in early as our room was ready, which was great as we were meeting up with family and were in a bit of a hurry.

This is a great hotel in a perfect location to walk anywhere you want to go in Floyd which is a fabulous little town. The girl that takes care of breakfast is an incredibly hard worker and I very much appreciated All she did.

My room on the second floor was a very long walk from the parking lot to my room. I'm 83 years old and it was a bit of a stretch. Once I got there everything was very comfortable

The build quality of the entire Hotel was outstanding. Solid oak doors and trim throughout. Well appointed fiddle-back maple furniture. Handcrafted floor lamps made with repurposed trombone parts really set the mood for this musically oriented Virginia small town that caters to fostering and perpetuating of authentic Bluegrass Music. The Floyd General Store on Main Street and their Friday Night Jamboree was only 200 ft away from our hotel door. Really convenient. Plenty of fine places to eat and local businesses to explore, all within walking distance. Our room faced the courtyard and the rear windows had a view of the adjacent cemetery from the Civil War Era. Real quiet neighbors.

One of the duplex outlets in the room is controlled by a switch on an opposite wall. Typically, in a residential home, this is done to power a floor lamp remotely. However, in this instance, the outlet had an add-on double duplex adapter so that the refrigerator, microwave, and floor lamp could all share this same outlet. When the floor lamp was turned off at bedtime, every appliance lost power. We woke up to room temperature food in the fridge and a microwave that wouldn't function. It took me a few minutes to figure it out...future hotel guests may not have a background in building maintenance and could well be at a disadvantage. A label on the wall switch, or perhaps plugging the appliances into another electrical outlet would have been most appreciated.

The hotel was an easy walk to the Floyd Country Store and the downtown area. It felt safe and was comfortable, and breakfast was provided in the mornings. Parking was convenient.

My particular room had a lot of things lit up all night. At least one was unavoidable (the smoke detector), but some could be eliminated (the cactus, the temp on the heater, which was very bright). One I was able to unplug (the rose), which was helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room had plenty of space.

The room was spotless and very large, and the bed was huge and extremely comfortable! My room was next to the lift but every night was very quiet. Each room is decorated by a local business which is a lovely touch and this does feel like a local and unique hotel. It was pricey but on arrival I could understand why. I would definitely come back.

Breakfast was not particularly varied or appealing

The room was very roomy and nicely appointed. Staff were friendly, and you could not beat the location, walkable to everything in in town. Breakfast was pretty basic but the woman running it could not have been more friendly and accomodating.

No complaint about the hotel whatsoever - wish you could leave a tip via VENMO or other non-cash option. We just forget to carry cash these days.

Was well kept clean and especially liked the porch room

All was beautiful and loved the stay the only recommendation would be put children on 1st floor. There were small children above us and constantly ran back and forth with shoes on was very loud. Fortunately they settled bed we tried to sleep
