The best value. The facilities were clean and tidy. Some of the facilities are quite old, but this does not affect the overall perception of the stay. The staff is welcoming and nice. The hotel also offers lunch, and dinner for an extra charge, which is good because in low season, you don't have a lot of options around. The hotel also leases bikes, which is convenient for exploring the area or going to the beach.

It's a bit difficult to get there if you are not going by car, either you take 2 buses (second one with low frequency) from the train station and walk, or you can take a taxi.

I had a fantastic time working remotely from this hotel to escape the July/ August heat in Milano. Location could not be better. It was almost in forte dei marmi without the price tag. The quick bike ride into town with the free bikes available at the hotel was my daily highlight. The meals at the hotel were always an option. The staff went out of their way to help out with directions and attractions. The entire atmosphere was fantastic and it seems that the hotel attracts very nice people too. I was lucky to also improve my Italian as the owners made an effort to help me practice ! I definitely will be back !

Breakfast was fantastic every morning! The staff was able to accommodate a last minute extension of my stay as well. Grounds beautifully kept. Lots of couples and families. Free parking on site. Quiet and surrounded by the woods/trees! Room was a good size with good storage and a mini fridge, plus a nice balcony!

AC in my room did not quite perform the best, but the outdoor temperature was great. I left my windows open, but - mosquitos! Not really the issue of the hotel, it is in a beautiful setting in the woods.

Lovely quiet and professionally run hotel with a nice size outdoor pool. Lovely gardens and bicycles are provided for a short cycle to the beach and to explore other restaurants nearby. Food at the hotel was excellent and superb service. Great buffet breakfast with lots of choice.

Hotel La Bussola is in a great location and the host(s) are so helpful and friendly. They accommodate all of your needs and always help answer questions. The breakfast was perfect each day and dinner was very good as well. The pool is a great place to relax for an afternoon. We enjoyed taking the bikes to the beach club and spending the day at the beach club. We also brough our own (rented) road bikes and we had no problems keeping them secured while we were there. I would definitely come back to this location, as it is nestled perfectly between the beach and the mountains. The grounds are very well maintained.

Although the rooms were a little small, I would still return, but know to rent 2 rooms for our family.

In need of updating a little. AC and TV’s didn’t work. Limited access to food at lunchtime, unless you wanted a sit down, four course lunch you had to leave the premises and go to the supermarket 20 minutes away to get food and there are no restaurants serving lunch nearby.

Beautiful hotel and grounds. A lot nicer than the photos. Pool water was on the cold side. Bikes are free and available and we're so needed. Got to go round the gorgeous area

The quadruple room was very, very small. We struggled to move in the room. Also no one replies to messages. Waited months to get specific details like is there a coffee maker. I had to eventually call the property.

, The breakfast was excellent also the swimming pool was great. The staff were amazing when our taxi did not arrive to take us to the airport the owners son and took us to the airport and he also rang the taxi firm for us and they told us they had not got a booking for us.

The pool at the hotel was really lovely, incredibly clean and large size. We really enjoyed that there were bicycles available to use as it is a great way to explore the local area. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, we really enjoyed our stay there and will definitely rebook when in the area again.

Oasis of tranquility! So nice and quiet. Breakfast was amazing. The pool looked lovely, but we didn't get to use it, as the water was too cold for us. They have free bicycles to tour the neighborhood. Very hospitable.
