As a lone traveller I was looking for the safest and also most economical place to stay. I booked the Anatoli Apartments based on a review from a review here and I am SO glad that I did. AC is included in the price at the Anatoli Apartments which is not always the case. The bed was comfy with clean linens, changed every couple of days. There was a kitchenette area (kettle was used a lot!) and a table and two chairs. Also a balcony with a table and two chairs overlooking the strip at Stalis. Manos is so incredibly warm and welcoming - he treats all his guests like family and spends quality time all day with everyone around the pool, which also brings the guests together if they want to. I only spent a few hours there myself as I fell in love with Stalis and the surrounding area of Crete and there is so much beauty to take in. The beach is about 100m from the apartments. I spent my time there at the Ocean Bar on an actual bed right at the front of the beach. The apartment is surrounded by convenient places to shop and to eat. The bus stop (number 29) is just around the corner and up the hill and is a really convenient way to travel to many places on the island. It only costs 4 euros between here and the airport for example. Highly recommend. I had the most wonderful stay.

I wasn't expecting the Ritz because I wasn't paying luxury prices but the room was clean and functional and was a lovely safe place to sleep.

I m a mom with a 7y old girl and my 4 most important criteria: 100m from sea (or less), swimming pool, kitchenet, close to bus stop. This place was PERFECT for all 4 points. pool is spectacularly clean and just the right size (hotel is small so there were only 2-4 ppl in it every time we used it). Manos (owner) is there all the time and is super friendly. Mattress was very firm and surprisingly perfect for my back. AC worked great (and is included in the price so when u book, make sure u check for this info). Lovely balcony with table and 2 chairs where we had all our meals because it had excellent breeze. after 3 days we got clean sheets that were ironed! and towels (we asked for 2 additional big ones and got them as well). Room was cleaned (including floors, bathroom, kitchen) every day. Lovely bakery, 3 supermarkets( we loooved the one closest to the bust stop #29), shops, restaurants r all around the hotel (less than few min walk). When u cross tiny road to get to the beach, go left 50m towards Babell (restaurant on the beach) because if u buy even a cup of coffee( 2e) u get the wifi AND sunbed for free, u cant beat that! a nice portion of fries is 3.5e, cant beat that either:):) From airport there is a bus (3.8e per person and children under 5 free) straight to the hotel. ask for stop#29. than go down a bit and 3min u r at the hotel. with kids, take a bus to Star Beach (stop #24), slides and lazy river pool all for free with a nice restaurant as well. few water activities as well. and u got to buy these amazing YUGE donuts on the beach, fresh, warm and addictive:):) (2.5e) Pictures posted of the hotel (especially the pool) exactly reflect what u see in real life. ISRAELIS: fill out טופס הצהרת בריות BEFORE u get to the airport. When u get the pdf file to your email, screenshot it to show it at the check in.

I KNOW he has plans to upgrade kitchen and few other things so next year it will be even better. I personally (even though i m an interior designer) DID NOT mind simplicity of the room at all. It had everything we needed. And since it was very clean and big enough, there was NOTHING we didnt like.

The accommodation is in a very good place, close to the beach, market and bus station. The hosts are wonderful, they provided everything we needed and welcomed us as if we were family. Also on the last day our flight was moved and they let us stay longer in the apartment and enjoy the last day free of charge. I am sure that whenever the road leads us to Crete again, we will be guests in this accommodation

We stayed at Hotel Anatoli for 11 nights and had a brilliant time. Manos made us feel very welcome straight away and couldn't do enough to help us if needed. The rooms were cleaned daily and there was fresh towels & linen provided regularly. During the day at the pool Manos kept a close eye to make sure our daughter was safe in the pool and attended to us swiftly with drinks when needed.

Manos and Katerina are the perfect hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. Special shout out to Manos who looked after us so well when we spent time around the pool. Location is perfect, beach across the road and lots of restaurants nearby. Rooms are cleaned most days and are spotless. Big thank you to Katerina's mother who does this. We will hope to return one day. Yamas!

Manos, the manager, a real host, makes you feel at ease right away, helpful and always kind. The location is beautiful. We had a great time, I recommend it

Great staff that goes above and beyond to provide you with all you need to have a wonderful time. They make you feel right at home. The outside pool area is very nice and inviting for a swim and to chill out a bit. Great location just across the road from the beach, too.

MANOS the host, such a lovely man, couldn't do enough for us. Such a great host we all came away feeling we had made a new friend.

There wasn't anything really we didn't like. All I can say is the rooms were quite dated, but perfectly clean. Cleaned every day.

Perfect location in the centre of Stalis, 2 minutes from the beach. Manos, Katerina and mum are great hosts. Nothing is too much trouble.

Rooms are quite basic and there was no TV.
