the food was very good and enough to choose. daily cleaning and towel change. air conditioner in every room. the view was great even through it was not sea view. stuff is always ready to help.

no free beverages for dinner, even no water. if you want to drink something you need to buy it, you not even allowed to bring water with you (this was said by some stuff at our last day, We did not receve such comments during previous days of staying). Seriously? Water? we like Stalida beach which is quite far from this hotel.

Good buffet breakfast, plenty of choices from English, Cretan and continental options, food was refilled constantly and staff very attentive. Lovely building structure with flowers, trees. Pools, plenty of loungers.

Upon arrival we were given a room that was a big downgrade from the one we had booked - smaller, on basement floor, almost no windows, tiny bathroom. I was shocked as it never happened before with Booking. I asked to speak to the manager. She was not even sorry. After discussion all that we got was promise to relocate us the next morning to the correct room and bonus hotel dinner that evening. I believe it did not cover the price difference between the rooms, but we were too tired after the travel. The next morning we got to the room we booked and all other staff members were kind and welcoming. I add the pictures of view from both rooms.

The staff was very kind and attentive, we could take our room earlier than the normal check-in time, and it was possible to get an early breakfast on the last day as we had to leave for an early flight. Our room was spacious and the view of the sea was great from the balcony. The half-board was very reasonably priced and quite good, with a lot of options for breakfast and dinner as well.

The room looked a bit dated and the cleanliness could be improved. The fridge was very loud, so we turned it off for the night.

We had a great time at Anastasia hotel where we spent 11 nights and would definitely stay again! The whole staff was extremely nice and helpful and being able to enjoy 3 pools (one for babies) was a real luxury! Close to the bus stop and to the beach / restaurants + private parking for the rental car were great. We also enjoyed our balcony. The breakfast was super good and dinner had a wide range of dishes; something for everyone! The price - quality ratio was very good! It's a comfortable not-fancy hotel which was perfect for our family

Only some details / things to be aware of: we would really advise getting fitted sheet rather than flat ones for the mattresses; we always woke up partially on bare mattress which is not super.hygienic. There are many (lovely) British guests meaning there are also quite a few British dishes. We would not take the stroller anymore, it's too complicated with the steps (everywhere in Crete). It would be time to get new high chairs or at least change the straps :).

The food was so so tasty. Lots of options we were very happy with it and so we're the children. Great menus for lunchtime too if you wanted to eat at hotel. The water for the room was super value 2.50 euro for 6 big bottles . The air con was amazing. Free and needed ! Other facilities really good. Pools were expetionally clean and well maintained. As were sun loungers and so glad they had parasols as was very hot for children so they were needed ! Loved the mini sun pounders for children too . Entertainment was good shame about no mini disco for kids though . Grounds are absolutely stunning. Gorgeous views of the mountains too ! We had an amazing time highly recommended.

Maybe a playground accessible to everyone rather then just the 3 euro per child for kids club during the hours only. Wasn't a big deal at all , but did think the advertisement was a little misleading for that so just to be aware :)

helpful approach at check in when I was wearing a leg brace & they were concerned that there were 22 stairs to the room - very caring. early check-in appreciated. coffee whilst waiting to be guided to my accommodation also nice. lovely large room/ bathroom (with tub - yippee). good view &, although on main road car parking garages and trees stopped the noise. plain food at breakfast & dinner but well presented, tasty & served at a good temperature. - thoroughly recommended

Excellent price for what you get. Car park in shadow. Pool warm and clean. Younger girl on reception was the best. Also others and all staff. We came earlier and get coffee, biscuits and juice from girl on reception. Daughter 11 years old was enjoying every day on kids entertainment at afternoon.

Maybe I missed more sun lounger and sunshade umbrellas around pool.

Anastasia Hotel Stalis is located by the hill in Stalida - there are beautiful sea views and mountain views from the hotel rooms. Although the hotel is upon the main highway leading from Heraklion to Agios Nicolaos, the location is quiet. Anastasia Hotel offers variability of “things to do” for all generations -> there are 3 swimming pools, sunbeds, a soccer “stadium”, minigolf, table soccer, a very good children playground, etc. There are evening programs for adults and children arranged by the hotel. The food is EXCELLENT and super tasty!!! - both breakfast buffet (offering hot buffet - sausages, mixed eggs, beans, French fries, ham, the English breakfast, etc.; cold buffet - ham, cheese, vegetable, fruit, cereals, Greek yoghurt, coffee, tea, milk, etc.) and evening buffet (great variety of meals different every evening - 3 types of meat meals, 2-3 vegetable main meals, soup, pastas - “hot” pasta, “cold” pasta salads, pizza, baked “hot” cakes, cakes, perfect vegetable salads, ice cream, etc.) The hotel staff is very helpful. Rooms are clean (rooms N.701-715 are newly built, with modern furniture, veeeery nice; rooms N.601-615 and probably the other ones /501-515, etc./ are older, with old bathrooms, old air conditioning…but everything is functioning); some rooms have a sea view, some rooms have a garden view (there is a beautiful garden full of flowers around the hotel buildings), and some rooms have a swimming pol view. Rooms are being cleaned every day except Sunday. There are beautiful organised sandy beaches in Malia and Stalida.

There is NO WiFi signal in most of the rooms. The nearest beach is app.20 minutes far from the hotel by walking distance… Bathrooms in the “older” rooms are very small.

We have stayed here before and our second visit didn’t disappoint….lovely hotel and grounds with facilities to suit everyone. Although the bus service is really good, we hired a car and were able to enjoy the beautiful Lassithi region.. The staff were really kind, helpful and good at their jobs. We are already planning our next visit.

Our only disappointment was the evening buffet meal which we have tried twice. On each occasion the food failed to impress…it seemed overcooked and overall the evening dining experience lacked any magic. Wine was described as sweet, medium or dry with not a mention of provenance or winery. We were asked to pay for our wine in mid meal as the server was ending his shift then. With just a little effort and more imagination the dining experience could be a lot better with hopefully more emphasis on Cretan products and recipes.

Really friendly atmosphere! Exceptional reception staff (I can’t remember the 2 ladies names, but they were SO nice and very helpful!!) Great breakfast selection and clean bedrooms :)
