PARKING: private open air in a backyard with cameras. But if you don't mind you can leave your car in one of the (few) spots on the street. The area looked very safe. CHECK-IN: easy and quick. STAFF: smiling, friendly and supporting. WIFI/VPN: works. And plenty of USB ports around the bed and the table to charge your devices. Really appreciated! SIZE: we ended up with a 3 beds room, so it was indeed spacious also to stay not just to sleep. CLEAN: very much, yes and they have wooden floor or laminate, which I prefer over carpet. BATHROOM: clean, fine, nice... but no shower, only a tub and no shower head holder, no curtains. QUIET: besides the near church bells, yes very much. Lovely location! SERVICES/RESTAURANT/ATTRACTIONS AROUND: you are in the heart of the old town, which is small and you have restaurants and wine shops all around the corner. It couldn't be any better LOCATION. BREAKFAST: nice and plenty in a stylish atmosphere. COMMON AREAS: there is a bar in the garden and some common old living-room style areas, where you can relax. Very nice very styled.

Carpets in the corridor and stairs quite dirty. BATHROOM: No shower head holder and no curtains or glass door for the tub: makes washing oneself quite tricky and the whole bathroom floor wet. Also there is a general lack of holders for towels and any other accessories one might have with. No kettle, no fridge, no water offered in the room or in the common areas.

We stayed in a family room with two double beds, and the experience was like stepping back in time. The hotel has a unique historical charm and character all its own. Our room was very spacious, giving off an old-world luxury feeling. The walls were covered with elegant fabric instead of wallpaper or paint, adding to the authentic atmosphere. The shower was fantastic, featuring a massage spray system that made it a pleasure to use. Breakfast was really good,while a bit on the expensive side, it was absolutely worth it. Everything was made from high-quality products. The breakfast room and its décor made us feel like we were on the set of a historical film. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The whole town was nice and quiet, which made for a peaceful and memorable stay. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates history, comfort, and a touch of luxury.

We stayed here for three nights in September 24 while and used it as a base to tour around the Alsace area visiting tones and wineries. The hotel was lovely, old and comfortable with a lovely lounge area where you could sit with a drink in the evening. Parking was on the premises and, amazingly, there was a power point by each space so we were able to plug in our hybrid car! Such a rare find! Breakfast was really good with everything on offer, cakes, breads, cold meat and cheeses and cooked items all from a buffet set up. The staff were always on the move and nothing ever ran out. Eating out in the evening was easy as there are numerous restaurants just around the corner. We ate at a different one each night and they were all good. Our room was on the third floor, which was a bit of a haul on the stairs as there is no lift, but stopping for a breather (both being a bit older) on the second floor was fine. There was a massive beam in our room and I was sure my husband would hit it getting up during the night, but he didn’t. It was a relaxing stay

Walking into reception was like entering a Hallmark Christmas movie! The decorations created such a wonderful atmosphere. The sitting rooms and breakfast room were charming. Breakfast was delicious! I especially loved the Christmas jam and fresh tarts. The two foreign cleaners do an amazing job, the bathroom sparkled and there wasn’t a single sign of dust on all the objects d’art throughout the hotel. I will be back but will contact the hotel directly to chose a better room. The children’s Christmas choir and delicious meal at nearby restaurant L’Autrefois made our stay here truly memorable!

I suspect our room was very simple compared to others elsewhere in the hotel, no other guests were in the attic area. The bed sagged too so both people ended up rolling into each other, it was hot and uncomfortable. I really liked the charm of the hotel but would have appreciated getting better sleep at night. The hotel is dog friendly so if you have allergies this will not be for you. Parking was in the market place, outside the village wall, only 14 places are available with the hotel, first come first served. If you arrive before the street is closed for the Christmas Market you could drop your bags at the door, otherwise the cobblestones are hard on your luggage. Arriving in the dark at 5pm was very confusing.

Stunning historic hotel in a beautiful town. The downstairs lobby is full of exotic decorations and is a lovely place to enjoy a game of chess with a drink from the hotel bar. The breakfast was amazing, with lots of variety, and the breakfast room and garden were both beautiful locations to enjoy it in. Our room had high ceilings and was tastefully decorated.

The floors creak, a lot, and we were woken up by people upstairs walking back and forth at 5am. Then we were woken up by the loud church bells, which rang for quite a while. We didn't mind this much since it is part of staying in a charming old building in the centre of town, but someone sensitive to sounds would probably not be happy here.

This hotel is oozing with history and charm. Perfectly located near the train station and bus stop and steps from restaurants and shops. The courtyard area was the perfect spot for a pre-dinner drink and the bartender/evening desk staff was one of the happiest servers I've ever encountered. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was just right.

Three flights of stairs to our room but that is the reality of buildings from hundreds of years ago.

I liked literally everything about this hotel! 1- Historical place - built in 1500s. The feeling to be in a house built so long ago with so much history is amazing. There are multiple historical figures who visited this hotel over the centuries. 2- Location is perfect just in the middle of the village on the side of the main square and the famous gardens. 3- Parking is free and easy on the street. 4- Silence! It was extremely quiet helping you to relax thoroughly. 5- Value for price - 10/10. Absolute gem for this price! 6- Very good interior, in the lobby area they have hundreds of artefacts from around the world, everything is arranged beautifully. 7- The staff is extremely nice and welcoming. 8- We didn't try the breakfast but when we were leaving I peaked what it is and they had a big variety of things which I believe would have been very tasty.

The location was great, the building and the decoration is so beautiful. And very clean.

Our room was at the third floor and there is no lift, no body help to carry the luggages ehich is the hardest part. The room was very sweet but so small and uncomfortable, I have never seen such a small bathroom like that.

The hotel was a surprise. Very historic but with every modern comfort. It was fabulous. We found the hosts to be very friendly and helpful and always ready to do more than they needed to. The room was spotlessly clean, spacious and very comfortable. We had a view of the courtyard which was quiet and pleasant. Parking was very secure. We used the enclosed hotel parking which seemed safe and was well lit. The hotel was right in the centre in the old town which was amazing. From photos thought it seemed like the one in Beauty and the Beast! The town was wonderful. So picturesque and the people were very friendly. We went to a great restaurant, as recommended by the hotel staff and back to the hotel for drinks with a convivial crowd of other guests. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of food and drink. More than enough to fill us up for a long journey! The front desk helped me to find where to light candles for my late brother who used to come over ever September to Marshall at the hill climb and loved Turckheim.

We have visited this hotel many times. Our room this time was one of the smaller ones and a bit disappointing but the hotel itself is full of charm and in such a lovely location I'm sure we'll be back. We didn't take breakfast but it's obviously very good. Parking around the hotel is usually free and easily available. A craft fair in the square made it more difficult this time but still possible. Good choice of restaurants within a short walk, and great hiking and cycling all around.
