From the minute we arrived at the hotel the staff were friendly, full of information about the facilities in the hotel. We were given an upgrade to our room which was fabulous. We initially booked for 3 night stay but ended up staying for 5 due to the location of the hotel and the 5* staff from the reception staff to the breakfast staff and the immaculate cleaning and cheerfulness of the room cleaners. We would highly recommend this hotel, it is full of character and charm and would love to visit again if ever we come to Italy. And, the breakfast was always excellent. A big thank you to all, you are a great team.

The room was excellent with a lovely little balcony. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfast was amazing with so much choice and the light lunches were perfect. If we are ever in this area of Italy again we will definitely stay here.

The hotel is just off a main road and our room overlooked mainly the car park but then this wasn't really a huge issue for us since all of the positives far outweighed this very small negative.

Firstly it’s a beautiful building, the hotel and pool were immaculately clean. The staff are so friendly and helpful, breakfast was always delicious with a large selection of pastries, cold meats and scrambled eggs available. The light lunch was good too. Our room was pleasant and the beds were extremely comfortable and it was cleaned daily. Location was perfect for dining out and the beach. We also took advantage of the free pushbikes.

Honestly nothing!

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful – shoutout to Bianca who tried to accommodate our needs to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The swimming pool is a little jewel!

The pram of our baby couldn’t fit in the elevator, which was a bummer as we had to detach it and reassemble it every time we wanted to go downstairs. Good thing is they gave us a room on the first floor, next to the swimming pool exit so we had an alternative (shorter) option to go out.

The hotel was beautiful in a fabulous location. The town is filled with amazing restaurants, just one street back from the beach, with everything you could possibly need. The hotel itself is stunning, very relaxing and the staff are outstanding! Particularly the bar man!!!

Other than the rooms being a little dated, which didn't bother me in the slightest as they were comfortable and clean with good amenities, I couldn't fault it!

It was my first visit on seaside in Toscana area and i have choosed this hotel due to history of the building and closeness to seaside area. and it was right choice . It has pool enough for the guests which want spent time by his own plus perfect bar till midnight . The whole athmosphere of that place and hotel revokes memories from movies about liges in 30 s in Agatha Christie style . It is worndeful place and close to Viareggio through famous promenade to Art Deco buildings which still keeping charm of Puccini . And fantastic sea food menu at each corner . Something which you can get only in Italy and put into your heart forever

We loved the hotel, gorgeous pool and lovely staff. We took the bikes out one day and that was fun. I would definitely stay there again; loved the art-deco style and there was something quaint about the place… got to know who was who around the pool as it’s a small and intimate hotel. We were going to the opera festival and a private bus stopped very close to the hotel which was a big bonus.

It was a bit pricey but a memorable stay. Also some distance to the train station…

Hotel Europa is the most magical and charming villa in all of Viareggio and this says a lot! It has an impressive history and an amazing location close to the beach but most of all this is a hotel with wonderful staff and a great atmosphere and I am happy to say, I have found my new home in Viareggio :)

I was a little surprised to see how much space the parking lot takes up. I understand the need for it but I also see the potential to create a truly magical garden and pool area.

The best hotel where I have been in Versilia so far! Really good organized, they speak several languages and they are really listening to the customer needs. It is located close to the beach, you can leave your car in the hotel and across the roads to enjoy the full day on the beach. The breakfast was really tasty (sweet and salty), I really recommend it!

if I really need to find something, it's about the variety of bread choice, especially if you enjoy the international breakfast with bread and cheese/hams.

Brilliant staff really look after you. The room was well appointed with a balcony and the AC was great but not too intense good shower. The weather for the pool was an added plus for us great pool bar . The breakfast was superb lots of choice hot n cold a wonderful fresh fruit. We had a great time.

No a dislike but you need to know they do not generally serve evening meals. This was not a problem for us as we like to eat out and knew the area well.
