The vibe was amazing!! The staff's attentiveness and friendliness were exceptional, including the receptionists and the waiters/ waitress. The ambiance was one of a kind, and the dinners outside, by the villas' garden, with relaxing music, showcased the true sense of life in Tuscany. Breakfast was abundant, offering lactose- and milk protein-free choices, as well as gluten-free options. The restaurant offers many special delicacies. The bed was very comfy, the fridge and kettle were a great plus. The charging station made our trip comfortable, as we didn't have to look for chargers in the city.

The location is peaceful, pool area wonderful and relaxing and hotel and grounds so charming and beautiful. Cannot fault staff who are all so professional and nothing too much trouble for them. We stayed for a week and ate 4 nights in the restaurant , food was truly excellent. The hotel is dated but that's the whole charm and I would not hesitate to return. Thank you Villa Cheli for making our stay so memorable

We were in a room at the front of the hotel which has a large terrace with table and chairs. Whilst we were told the terrace was for use by just 2 rooms , other guests often spent time there smoking and chatting . I feel a sign should be located to advise the terrace is only accessible for these 2 rooms only. The only natural day light into the room was from a glass panel in the door and the room therefore felt very dark.

A beautiful, peaceful place surrounded by hills and vineyards. A very nice, well-maintained swimming pool with an amazing view from above. Another great advantage of this place is the garden with beautiful, well-kept plants – the gardener does a great job. There is a restaurant on site serving delicious dinners. I had a really wonderful time here with my family. I highly recommend this place.

Some rooms needs a refresh

The restaurant Les Camellias, headed by chef Mirko was splendid. Eating Al fresco, in the soft warm evening air, In front of beautiful Villa Cheli was magical. Mirko's food was superb and he soon knew exactly what we liked. Fine dining in wonderful surroundings. The swimming pool was a great size, plenty of sunbeds, and lovely views of the surrounding countryside.

The breakfasts were a bit disappointing, limited choice, and the prepared fresh fruit soon ran out and wasn't replenished. The tea/coffee machine was in an awkward corner, and caused congestion....only room for one person...and not all the guests were patient, waiting for their turn. Teabags and coffee in our room were not replaced after the first night....we stayed for four nights.

It is for a proper Tuscany experience. The entrance is very charming with the villa view and the hills on the back. Worth for many pictures. Room was clean. Customer service very good. Pool we didn't have the chance to try but it had a nice view of the sunset.

Breakfast can be improved with more variety of choices. Very limited considering the price of the hotel. Missing of slippers in the room. Vibe could be much more better. This expectations are according to the price and the value expected.

This is a beautiful authentic Italian Villa , rustic and charming. Location and tranquility are the reason I chose This villa , second time and becoming a bit of an Italian bolt hole. The restaurant has a new chef , Mirco Citti, some of the best food I have tasted on numerous trips to Italy. For anyone looking an authentic Italian experience with great food and staff this is a must!

Nothing really, the bathrooms have been updates since my last stay which made a difference , only recommendation I would make is to upgrade pool umbrellas and sun beds, not a must and would’ve t stop me coming back but would upgrade the hotel a lot.

Location definitely met our needs. We wanted something just outside the city with a traditional Tuscan vibe. The staff at Villa Cheli were also very helpful and friendly. Very pet friendly too which made our stay more relaxing.

Breakfast was quite basic with little variety day to day.

The pool area was fabulous and lovely and quiet. The breakfast was very nice. Our room was great and it was perfect for me and my Daughter.

It would have been helpful if there was lunch available - but there was a wonderful Patisserie across the road which sold delicious food.

The villa is absolutely beautiful.

The location is a little more remote than we had anticipated. A car is a huge advantage. As the villa is built on a very steep hill ,it is not really appropriate for elderly people or anyone with mobility issues. Some of the rooms are further up the hill than the main building and are difficult to walk to in wet conditions.

Lovely historic villa in the hart of the Tuscany countryside and just minutes away from Lucca. Good value for money, dog friendly and very accommodating stuff. We had also a dinner at the hotel's restaurant which was very tasty and a good option for us after a long day of travelling. The hotel also sell it's own wine and have lovely swimming pool that unfortunately we had no time to make use off. I would highly recommend this place for a short or longer stay.
