A very quiet and peaceful place with friendly and welcoming hosts. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with good mattresses and pillows. It’s not exactly a hotel in the traditional sense, but more like a countryside house or a private villa where bedrooms with private bathrooms are available for rent. We stayed for just one night, and everything was perfectly comfortable. The room had everything we needed for a pleasant and restful stay. The air conditioning worked well, which was important because it was quite hot during our visit. Breakfast is available on request - we had eggs with bacon, yogurt, and coffee. Simple but satisfying enough to start the day and go explore the city. Check-in and check-out were quick, easy, and very friendly. There is private parking on site. It might be a bit tight for large or wide cars, but we managed to park easily. The parking area is secured behind closed gates, which was a big plus for us.

We honestly liked everything! The only small suggestion would be to clean the air conditioner more regularly - there was some visible dust on the internal vents.

continental breakfast with fresh and warm pastries, but the bread is frozen, you should toast it. i think in italy you should have fresh italian bread also. nice cutlery and plates.. the whole building is like a millionair´s home from the 80´s 90´s... the lamps, the furniture, library...

fresh bread pls.., the pressure of the water in the shower is generally problem in italy.

- the property is close to Pisa (8 minutes drive) - very quite, clean, spacious and comfortable - it is nicely decorated - host speaks very good English and very helpful and was flexible with our check-in time as we arrived late in the evening - breakfast is good and cheap - we were given keys for the room, main entrance and gate so we can go out and come back anytime

no restaurants close by and need to drive but we got a car so it was not a concern for us

Breakfast was exceptionally good. They did everything to satisfy our German habits 8-) ,what you absolutely can't take for granted there, plus: * the best croissants I encountered in my life (were freshly-baked! and warm), * great juice, * lovely cappuccino * super-delicious fresh! cake, ... to name a few (more Italian? ;-) ) things only ...

This place is amazing! Huge room, comfortable bed, friendly owner. I stayed 3 nights for work and had a great stay. Bus stop in front of the hotel that takes you directly to Pisa.

Strategically located between Pisa and Lucca, this little hotel features some of the most spacious rooms we have stayed in! The breakfast offers a solid variety of options - continental by default with eggs available upon request. The staff are all amazing and eager to assist in every possible way. We very much enjoyed our two nights of honeymoon there and will certainly come back when we are in the area.

One thing that needs to be fixed is the water pressure in the shower; it is manageable and one gets used to it, but it takes a while to shower. We've informed the staff and we are sure this will be fixed!

It was comfortable, charming and safe. The host was always available to help and provide what we needed. We deeply recommend La Dimora del Bassotto!

We had hoped for more eggs/meat/fresh fruits for breakfast.
