Our time at Locanda Sant'Agata was fantastic! From Marco's friendly check-in to the exquisite restaurant and typical Italian breakfast, everything was wonderful. The location is perfect for exploring Pisa, Lucca, and nearby villages, set in a peaceful countryside with mountain views. Our Deluxe room was beautiful, clean and comfy! The family-like atmosphere and impeccable service (plus, Gerry, their adorable dog) made our stay very romantic. Meeting the kind mother at check-out was a special touch. For those who savour fine dining experiences marked by culinary brilliance and exceptional hospitality, I highly recommend the Sant'Agata restaurant. The overall experience this place give you is fenomanal. First you arrive, there is a big tree whit a teracce under, and an old building restored az turned into a modern hotel/restaurant. It is very calm and relaxing to be there. There is a very big garden where you can sit / lay down. The bed was very big and comfortable. The staff is super nice and supportive. They speak good english. And always there is you need help. The restaurant is on a differnt level of eating. The dishes are extraordanary and big enaugh.

The wifi sometimes decided to quit on us, but that was the only negative thing. Other thant that everithing was perfect.

Our stay was absolutely incredible. I had booked it as an affordable option while we were going to a friend's wedding nearby but the hotel really exceeded our exceptions. The dinner was incredible and to be honest I think under priced, they have an amazing wine list and you have to try the tiramisu, they even construct it at the table on a desert cart, and breakfast was amazing too. The staff were so lovely and accommodating and we just felt so at home at such a lovely little place. The area isn't somewhere I would typically go and visit if it weren't for the wedding nearby but I would love to go again just to stay at Sant'Agata. The grounds are also lovely, with incredible views of the hills behind, and a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk to San Guiliano Terme nearby which was a really lovely little town. Thank you!

We loved the area, very quiet and green. The best was the staff, Silvia, Nicola, Marco and the rest, so kind and helpful. We had some good conversations with all of them. We also loved playing with Jerry, the lovely dog of the hotel. Ah, almost forgot about the amazing dinner we had. If you can, try the restaurant!!

Very clean and comfortable room, the air conditioning worked well, it is well laid out to make use of the space, plenty of wardrobe space. The grounds are very well kept with a wonderfull huge old chestnut tree. Breakfast was really good with lots of choice and the scrambled eggs were superb. The hosts were helpful and friendly and the hotel dog was great and added to the relaxed atmosphere. We ate at the restaurant on one occasion and the meal was excellent. We had an early departure (before breakfast time) and the chef kindly left a bag of sandwiches, croissants , fruit and bottled water for us at reception.

Not the fault of the Hotel but the road from the nearby train station is busy and without a pavement, if you stay here car hire would be preferable as the local taxis are hit and miss, although we were able to book one to the airport at the end of our trip that arrived on time (we had an early flight). Saying that, the hotel is well equipped and has everything you need on site.

Nice quiet location. Good air conditioning. Lovely setting. Helpful staff giving us information about parking and visiting the tower. There are loads of little restaurants around this area within about 15 minutes drive. We dont speak any Italian but we got by with friendly waiters.

We didn’t eat at the hotel as it was quite expensive. We did have breakfast which was nice but we thought it was buffet style but it wasn’t and we didn’t have a menu. The waitress just asked us what we wanted. We would have preferred to choose our own but that’s a personal thing and maybe we are ignorant of the Italian ways. The breakfast was nice though if expensive for what we actually had.

We stay there because of the electric car charger, which worked fine. The pool was definitely the nicest. Triple Room was very large and comfortable.

However breakfast for a place like this very disappointing. They charged us for cappuccinos! Seriously?! We are in a 4 star hotel in Italy and there is drip coffee and not fresh fruits for breakfast?!

The staff were amazing, nothing was a problem. Breakfast was excellent and catered for all our requirements. It was a very pleasant stay. Very good location to Lucca and Pisa.

A little noisy at times due to some events during our stay, however nothing excessive.

Staff was exceptionally friendly and we felt very welcome already when entering. Everyone put a lot of effort in to make us feel comfortable. Every morning we were asked what we'd like to have for breakfast and all meals were very fresh and delicious. Once we had also dinner, we were overwhelmed of the amazing dishes we received. We can hardly remember, when we ate that good the last time. Room was 100% clean and tidy.

Since we travelled in September, it was already a bit colder than expected. Unfortunately the rooms weren't heated, so we were a bit freezing. As we got to know later this trip, there was a goventmental regulation that forbid heating because of current gas shortage - so no blame on the host!

We upgraded to a nice garden suite with plenty of room and very clean. There was a big closet (we had lots of stuff), a safe, a refrigerator and nice bathroom. The staff were very helpful, there is good parking and a really good restaurant.

Nothing. We would go back there.
