At the time of booking I expected it to be very pleasant. But this place exceeded my expectations by far! An extremely tastefully remodelled and furnished historic/old building. The interior design - simply amazing! The groundfloor/beverage service was a bit special, with few/no staff but a lot of self-service. But honestly, this suited us very well - simple, friendly, cosy, everything to enjoy! Ok, having one of the middle/upper class rooms, they have their price. But for me, it was worth every penny! Absolutely recommendable! Once again in that region, this will be my choice again.

La Ferme du Chateau is a beautiful building in a beautiful setting and has been finished to an exceptionally high standard. We were made to feel very welcome upon our arrival and all of our needs were taken care off. Thank you.

We would highly recommend La Ferme du Chateau to others, as it does represent good value. It was very hot when we stayed and as a result our room was very warm. Also, whilst the quality of the breakfast ingredients were very good, we would have preferred a few more choices.

Beautiful, clean, perfect. Don’t think twice, it’s just perfect for a getaway or to stay while traveling through Switzerland. The service is exceptional, friendly and helpful. The lady even packed me a croissant when I was leaving. The room is super nice. Decor and interior is stunning, modern, but has its original charm. Dyson aircon fan inside to keep it cooler. Nice toiletries in the bathroom. Honestly it’s perfect.

I think that Annie did a fantastic job in ensuring that all the guests had an enjoyable stay. Nothing was a problem for her. The hotel stood just beneath a fine castle. The village had good facilities and walks along the river. The breakfast was amazing and was well presented. We had a great stay.

Fantastic hotel, well situated to explore Lucens. Friendly helpful staff who could not do enough for you. The most comfortable beds. Would use again and recommend to friends and family.

Very friendly stuff, nice design and cozy place.

The restaurant is only for the breakfast, make sure you reserve smth in advance. The room was not very well cleaned, some dirty napkins in the vase, opened shower gel and the furniture is a bit used. But the overall design is really nice!

The entire experience was great. Lovely building, perfectly preserved, yet modernized to today’s standards. Tranquil village in a rural location yet a short scenic drive away from many beautiful attractions: medieval Gruyère, Maison Cailler, La Maison du Gruyère and Gorges de la Jognes. Annie greeted us with a warm welcome and went above and beyond to make sure we are having a comfortable enjoyable stay. She really made us feel we’re her house guests. Many thanks and appreciation go to Annie.

I was a bit disappointed when I found out that the château wasn’t open to public.

I liked the location very much. The hotel is a former ancient farmer house. It has been rebuild from ruins. The architects did a great job. The buildung now ist amazing. Especially I liked the breakfast rrom.
