Location, location, location.........key words when you are looking for accommodation. Everything about Rivendell Apartments is amazing and I pray and hope you are willing to read my praise all the way through. The apartment was very big and lots of space and amazing to sit on the balcony in the sun and just relaxing and hear the sound of the birds or read and have a drink. The owners and host are amazing people in every sense of the words. Their hospitality is beyond anything. The food at the restaurant is made fresh every single day from the best ingredients possible. The cocktails are amazing and that Greek coffee in the morning and the dessert with it is totally to die for. The apartment is made up with fresh towels every single day so basically you are like king in this perfect environment with trees, calmness and the feel of the wilderness around you. The host can help you with a rental car or you can get a taxi or rent a car from the airport. It take around 23 minutes to reach the destination and it also only take 23 minutes to get to the old town and shorter distance to the beach. I strongly recommend this accommodation for you, no matter if you are staying for a night or two. We were there for 8 nights and we are going back again next year for 2 weeks plus. Trust me........This was the best trip we have had in MANY years and totally worth it in every sense of the words. Join my experience and when in Corfu, stay at Rivendell Apartments. Rivendell is a little piece of heaven! I would highly, highly recommend it to anyone visiting Corfu—we had a truly wonderful stay. The owners and host are some of the kindest and most welcoming people we’ve ever met. They have two lovely, large dogs who were a joy to watch as they played. They're very well-behaved, never begged for food, and just appreciated a gentle pat if they felt welcomed. They also have a sweet little cat and even a bird family! As a pet lover, I really enjoyed spending time with them. The facilities were clean, comfortable, and exactly as shown in the booking photos. While we didn’t travel with children, I would absolutely recommend Rivendell to families with kind hearts—it’s very child-friendly, with toys by the pool and a beautiful garden to play in (and of course, those friendly pets!). We especially loved swimming in the pool after a long day of sightseeing or relaxing at the beach. Their on-site restaurant is a great option—affordable with delicious food. The breakfast portions were more than generous; if you eat breakfast there, you probably won’t be hungry again until the afternoon! We also had dinner there once, and it was amazing. If you prefer your own food or drinks, it’s lovely to just sit out on your private terrace in the evening. The peaceful, beautiful scenery and the sound of birds chirping make it the perfect place to unwind. The air conditioning works well, though we often slept with the windows open, which are equipped with mosquito nets. Daily basic cleaning was provided, and it was more than enough. Like most of Greece, there’s a rule about not flushing toilet paper. We were initially a bit worried about this, but honestly—it wasn’t a problem at all. No unpleasant smells, not at Rivendell, and not at any restaurant or facility we visited. As for the location—Rivendell is in a great spot. It's close to both the city and some stunning beaches.

The hosts were so welcoming and friendly by the 2nd day it felt more like coming home to family rather than staying in rented accommodation. The pool was fantastic and there was toiletries provided in the bathroom(shampoo/shower gel/soap). Also provided towels for beach/pool at no extra cost. The restaurant is on the premises and it really had the best food in all Corfu made fresh to order and at very reasonable prices too.

Own transport recommended- it is located in a beautiful tranquil setting about 15 mins drive from beaches but noone knows when or if the elusive bus to Corfu stops at pickup point across the road.

We absolutely loved our stay at this lovely hotel in the hills of Greece. Because it’s up in the hills, the temperature was much more comfortable than by the coast – perfect for enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The hotel’s own restaurant, Rivendell, was amazing – delicious food every single time, we couldn’t resist coming back for more. The whole place feels calm, cozy, and welcoming, with sweet cats roaming around the garden adding extra charm. The staff were so kind and helpful, always smiling and ready to make our stay even better. It’s the kind of place you instantly relax in – we’re already dreaming about coming back!

We really enjoyed the peacefulness and natural surroundings. It felt amazing to wake up to the sound of birds singing. The location isn’t near any beaches, but we chose it that way on purpose and loved being away from noisy or touristy areas. With a car, we could easily reach many beaches within 15–20 minutes. The hotel grounds are spacious and lush with greenery. The apartment isn’t very modern, but it had all the basic essentials. We didn’t try cooking, so can’t say how comfortable it would be for that. There’s a big parking lot on-site, so we could always find a spot for our car at any time. The owners are very friendly and offer guests lots of useful tips about the island. We stayed for 4 nights and had the chance to meet them and try the homemade food at the restaurant they run on-site. We really appreciated the warm, low-key, home-like atmosphere at Rivendell Apartments.

The breakfast was not included in the price. We did have breakfast a few times. It was fabulous and bountiful. We had dinner there a couple of times Aglaia is an excellent cook, we had the keftedes (grilled meat balla), sofrito, stuffed vegetables, and the special salad. We also had omelets for breakfast, and tried her bread. Her galatopita (a milk custard dish served cold with cinnamon) and practically everything else we had were delicious. The restaurant has av5 rating on Google and it's very deserving. In addition we liked the location. It's near two main roads, one going to Paleokastritsa, and the other to Sidari or Aghios Georgia's Beach on the north, and it's almost half way between these locations and Kerkira, the city.

Everything was great.

The accommodation is super nice in a tranquil area of Corfu. With a car you can reach most beachs of the island in around 30 minutes driving, which is an amazing advantage to visit all sides of the island. The crew is suppppppeeeerrr friendly and made us feel at home the whole time. The apartments has a small kitchen, so it is also very good for those who doesn't plan to spend to much with restaurants, and if you are looking for some traditional greek food, they also have the restaurant serving the best Moussaka in the region.

Some items in the apartment are not so well conserved, but it doesn't change the overall experience. If you are not planning to rent a car, the location can be a bit trick.

We had such a beautiful time in Corfu! Rivendell Apartments was the place where we could always come back to after a long day to relax :) Nick and his wife were very kind to us and we just felt like home. The dogs Siba and Rabel as well as the cat Sabetha are such friendly animals! The Restaurant Rivendell is also the right place to enjoy the amazing Greek cuisine :)

Having a little bit more kitchen equipment would be highly appreciated for those who like to cook their meals and the mosquito net could be renewed since on some of them there are tiny holes…

We have recently returned from the most fantastic holiday ever in the Rivendell Apartments in Corfu. The complex is small and intimate with 13 well equipped and spotless apartments all with a balcony. Our apartment overlooked a lovely pool which was never too busy to relax by and have an enjoyable swim. The location is perfect, set in a beautiful mountainous area of Corfu but only approximately 15km from Corfu Town and 16km from the airport. While a number of guests had cars for exploring, we chose not to as there is a bus stop only 100m from the complex and buses providing direct links to Corfu Town, the airport and in the other direction the town and beaches of Sidari. What really made the holiday special were the owners and hosts Nick and Aglaia. Nick is clearly the most handsome and charming man in Corfu if not the whole of Greece!! Aglaia is a beautiful lady and an absolutely wonderful 5 star cook. Aglaia runs the onsite restaurant (which has received 5 google stars) and people come from far and wide to taste her food. She cooks traditional Greek dishes including meatballs, moussaka and a true speciality pastichio. My husband thought he had died and gone to heaven and compared her to Gordon Ramsey. I am not only a vegetarian but also a very fussy eater and Aglaia catered wonderfully to my requirements. I have never eaten so well in my life. For a light meal she also does a light and crispy pizza and a Greek salad to die for. A substantial breakfast is available, made with the freshest of ingredients and includes cold meats, bread, omelette, yoghurt and fresh fruits all served with her wonderful Greek coffee. You will not need to eat again until dinner time. The restaurant is extremely competitively priced for the quality of the food and cooking. We are quite simply in love with the Rivendell and especially Nick and Aglaia (not to forget their 2 lovely dogs). They cannot do enough for people.

Absolutely nothing, it was perfect. The accommodation, the location, the pool the atmosphere and especially the hosts made our stay absolutely wonderful.

Quiet neighbouhood , in the middle of island - swiming-pool always prepered for morning swiming, the owners always open and avaliable - we manage even to make our daughter birthday in their great restaurant ! - they set us the cake with polish sentense in great bakery nearby;) good advices for trips, doga and cats friendly and always ready to pet! The appartment clear and ready for small family to live in for at least weeks;)

We can complain only for mosquitos;)
