Such a charming and intimate place! With quirky, personal touches sprinkled throughout. We felt very much at home at Hornbækhus, and enjoyed exploring each of the nooks and crannies it had to offer. We partook in the community dinner, which was fun and delicious, and breakfast was nice as well (keep in mind, it's not a buffet - you order from a menu). Our room felt very cozy, however the real charm was coming out of the room and reading a book or enjoying a cocktail in the "living room" and going on long walks along the beach close by.

I wished there were blinds or curtains in the bathroom (the windows are textured, so it's difficult to look through, but I was still a bit nervous at night when it was dark but the bathroom was lit - you can make out shapes and silhouettes from outside).

Beautiful house with a lovely garden and at a great location; close to the beach and town center yet very peaceful and calm. Amazing breakfast and lots of options to meet people through different community activities. Everything felt very relaxed and the staff were very friendly and helpful, too.

Check-out at 10am was a bit too early for us and the shower in our room only had a tiny screen which made it hard not to flood the bathroom floor.

The food and dinners taken in common with the Dannish were amazing! The bedroom was great and really comfy! Loved having a balcony, the beach bag to take with me.

A few details in the bedroom: the glass shower partition not properly attached at the top for example. A spider greeted me on my the first night ahah! Maybe a little desk in the bedroom? Breakfast waiting time can be a bit long if there's a lot of clients :)

The hotel was very beautiful and considered in a lovely location, next to the beach and a short walk to nature. We received a warm welcome at reception and were very comfortable in our room throughout. The perfect danish beach town getaway - I loved staying here.

The breakfast system wasn't clear and serving staff weren't very friendly or forthcoming, other guests appeared lost also. Dinning setting and actual food was really nice once we figured it out but unfortunately we ordered to little not understanding the menu - and eventually gave up.

Great place

The noise level/acoustic in the dining room is awful. It is supposed to be a community dinner but it is impossible to talk to anyone because of the noise. And so warm and terrible air. It is too cramped with people

Wonderfully unique hotel just a short walk away from the beach. In Danish style but not minimalist, rather more decorated. Very cosy and in great condition. Dinner was a lovely experience and fun to sit at long sharing tables and get to know other guests. Breakfast was delicious and on separate tables. All very well organised.

The ambiance of the property. Hotel was built as hotel in 1904. Has still beautiful characteristics. Beautiful interior furnishing

The room was very small; the bathroom extremely small.

This is the best hotel we’ve ever visited. Incredible location and interior. Clean and just a really wonderful place. With many small areas to sit and relax in.
