Not a didn't like just an observation that the hotel is on a restaurant that is closed so it gives the impression that the hotel is also closed. The entrance to the hotel is on the side but not very visible from the street.

Good location just a few walkable metres away from the train station in Rüsselsheim (13km from Mainz Hbf ). There is stable WiFi too and a quiet breeze, that only the constant moving vehicles on the road close-by intrude.

The place is so much stained beginning right away from the entrance, seems the entrance door carpet had just been soiled. Not forgetting, the outside entrance is worse though. It's better I reserve comments concerning that! There is always no staff at the reception and you are required to call or whatsapp them upon arrival or for any other inquiry details. Only the boss speaks English, so if you are not yet good at Deutsch like me, expect bland communication. The hotel is old, looks abandoned and naturally dirty, nothing so much cosy to expect there!

The breakfast was Buffett style but done in such a way that bread/fruit/eggs were limited to one a person there was no chance being able to maybe go back for seconds as you may expect with a Buffett. No hot food only the basics. As there was only myself and one other guest in the hotel there was only 2 eggs 2 pieces of fruit 2 bread cakes 2 yoghurts each put out every day. The hotel was in great need of modernisation it could look really nice, it was very dated and quite unwelcoming. On entering the courtyard on arrival you are met by broken paving stones everywhere holes in the concrete very dangerous, all attempted to be covered up with a roll of fake grass that was wet through but didn’t hide the dangerous state of the ground. No staff ever on reception seemed that no staff stayed overnight just basically the guests alone, a phone number was available should you need assistance but overall I didn’t feel too safe as a lone traveller. A lady and gent arrived at the hotel at 7 in the morning to put out the breakfast apart from that no other staff seen. I personally did not feel secure especially in a foreign country alone, there was only myself and a male German guest in the hotel on our own and it is very large it did feel, uncomfortable. The bathrooms had drains in the floor that smelt quite bad and the shower curtain was mouldy all around the bottom. Electrics were quite bad looking plugs hanging off the walls coating on the wiring coming off. One tiny bar of soap and one tiny sachet of shower gel - good job I took my own!! The room was very dusty the bedside lamp was covered in dust the furniture was also dusty, not the usual standard that Germans especially pride themselves on. If you stay here make sure you spend as much time out and about as it would be very depressing spending a lot of time in the hotel surroundings as there was no entrance lobby no bar facilities were on offer to say I was there for New Year no festive feel at all.
