I recently stayed at a charming hostel in Filandia and had an unforgettable experience. Nestled in the heart of Colombia’s coffee region, this hostel offers breathtaking views of the surrounding natural beauty. The lush greenery and serene landscapes create a perfect backdrop for relaxation and adventure alike. The hostel itself is cozy and welcoming, with comfortable accommodations and all the amenities you need for a pleasant stay. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the incredible staff. Laura and Diego went above and beyond to ensure that every guest felt at home. Their warm hospitality, extensive local knowledge, and genuine passion for the area made my stay truly special. Laura was always ready with a smile and a helpful suggestion for a hike or a visit to a nearby coffee farm. Diego’s enthusiasm for the region's natural wonders was contagious. If you’re looking for a place that combines natural beauty with outstanding service, this hostel in Filandia is the perfect choice. Thanks to Laura and Diego, my visit was one I’ll never forget, and I can’t wait to return.

Beautiful rooms and incredible property. Friendly staff, although you may be waiting a while for someone to assist you due to the size of the place. Location is very out of town - perfect if you’re seeking some solitude and are okay with having to taxi in or walk the 45mins. The property is on a beautiful block of land and a huge pool and jacuzzi (you have to book this in advance to use)

We were in a private room and there is no sound proofing in the rooms, could hear the person next to us very clearly. A long wait for breakfast and a taxi, I suggest you account for this as we waited 40mins when they’d said it’d be a 20min wait for a taxi. There was a problem with the hot water system when we were there with nobody at front desk to help us at night or on WhatsApp. We realised this was also the reason the Jacuzzi was freezing cold. Wifi was also quite sketchy and unreliable. This place was overpriced considering you have to taxi in-and out of town, they should include a shuttle service.

I highly recommend Selina in Finlandia, for nature lovers, this is the place to stay. It's not far away from the center by taxi, the staff was super friendly and they made sure we were feeling at home. The decoration in the room was beautiful and the typical architecture of a coffee farm made it very special. I love the fact that they have friendly dogs in the hotel and the view of the beautiful forest from the room.

I love the open space and the grounds of Selina, from personal huts to stay to a nice dorm building that was giving off Colombian vibes. There was gardens and lots of areas to chill out including the pool area and jacuzzi! Comfy and clean dorms and incredible staff to help you with info and anything you needed. Shoutout to Diego and Laura for making me feel welcome.

The property is located about 10-15 minutes outside of town. The room was comfortable and relatively quiet. The onsite store and restaurant didn't price gouge too bad. They were flexible with the prepaid breakfast options. We ordered some food to go and it started raining while we were waiting. The lady who checked us in gave us her umbrella so we could walk back to the room. Very sweet. I wish I had gotten her name.

The property makes you download an app that asks for information that is none of their business. I almost canceled the reservation just because of this requirement. We went to take a shower around 10:00pm and realized there were no towels in our room or our daughter and friends room. Luckily we had towels from the Termales trip. The shower head in our room was busted so water was shooting out in 5 different directions. We reported it the next morning and they brought us towels.

The place is beautiful green and huge. They put on the jacuzzi at night which was really nice. Wifi worked super well and I got a welcome drink

The atmosphere was a little weird because we were only 2-3 guests at the same time. Still staff was not super attentive, when I asked them before on WhatsApp about transport from Filandia they didn't respond. They announce free yoga class but then said I had to pay. They didn't mention that the class was not in the hostel but uphill, so I arrived late. It was raining almost the whole time and unfortunately they only have two hammocks in the reception area. The room was quite dark and not super spacey. The bottom beds are super low which was not so comfortable

Beautiful property. The room we stayed at was the Suite and it was fantastic. The view from the balcony was incredible and the hammock was a great touch. The staff were absolutely great and accommodating. The location is close to the main town of Filandia, the front desk can call a Willys to ride you to the town for about 20k (Colombian pesos).

Not enough towels were given (just 2 big ones) , but no hand towel or face towel. Also, no fan or AC.

I loved the property, the staff, the room, everything was tidy and clean. just great.

I’m a remote worker, but cannot imagine working with the internet that the hotel offers, it is basically doesn’t exists. Also the road to get to the hotel is a bit complicated.

Amazing room – hot water a huge plus – lovely staff, great food (although at times a little cold with only one chef managing the kitchen) and beautiful setting. If they could've helped us arrange a taxi to Pereira airport (roughly an hour away) everything would have been perfect.

the beds are super comfortable, there is a big kitchen, the pool also has a jacuzzi. it is located in a wide natural area, perfect for relaxing and resting. the staff was super helpful with everything.

breakfast has place for improvement. it can be complicated getting to and from the village, specially at night.
