The location of the park is right in "town" and a skip to the beach, no need to drive anywhere to pick up supplies. The cabin we stayed in was very clean and well appointed - hubby mentioned "sterile" but I'm happy with sterile when it means clean and tidy, which it was. We had a large comfortable bed, and the kids had a separate room with bunk beds, which they loved. We were able to cook our own dinner with the utensils provided in the kitchenette, and there was plenty of space for us to all spread out. Unfortunately, we did get in a little late, so we only had time to explore a little bit, but the park itself looked neat and tidy and there was a small park for the kids to play in. A short stroll took us past the shop/servo/tavern and a closed ice cream shop (a shame because they would have had some business!), and the beach not too far away as well, so the location was excellent.

The price was quite a lot at $266 in the off season - more than any other place we stayed at in Tassie (aside from our gorgeous little cabin on Cradle Mountain)

The location was great - nice and relaxed and central with easy access to town and the park. The staff were very helpful, even lending us an extension cord needed for a CPAP machine. The cabins were well appointed, with great kitchen facilities. We were able to use the barbecue facilities to have a meal 'in-house'. The beds were comfortable and the showers good. We only had one night there but it would have been a great base for exploring the park over a few days.

In the family cabin, the location of the toilet next to the shower made things a bit tight when using the facilities. It would have been good to have a power point in the room with the bunks but we were able to work around that with the borrowed extension cord. It would have been good to have change machines in the laundry to use the washing machines and dryers. We didn't have change and the office was closed so we weren't able to do our washing.

Our cabin had all the essentials we required for our one night stay. We used the laundry facilities which were great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall we were happy with our stay.

The travel cot we were given for our son wasn’t put up for our arrival and when we put it up we discovered it had a broken side. We had to rearrange the furniture to make it fit in the room. Additionally there was no highchair in the cabin for him despite the listing saying one would be available. The cabin bedroom was VERY cold at night. We did stay during a cold snap but the bedroom was uncomfortably cold. The heater in the living area was good but could do with something for the main bedroom. The main issue was how cold it was- the others mentioned above are minor and mainly just mentioned for other families to ensure they ask for the items to be in place before arrival.

Ideally located to get to Freycinet quickly. Our studio room, although small, had everything we needed and was clean and adequate. The site has the Iluka tavern & bar that serves pretty decent evening meals. There is also a café that does a nice breakfast, although that didn’t appear to be open every day. Despite this being a camp site at a bank holiday, I couldn’t believe how quiet the site was after dark, and how considerate our fellow guests were for others. Well done Ozzies. Finally, the lady in reception was absolutely lovely, and the restaurant staff were attentive and polite.

WIFI and TV reception were poor, but with the surrounding scenery to enjoy, who cares! There really wasn't anything else to comment on negatively!

Our stay was warm and cozy. The bed comfortable, all amenities well-appointed, clean and inviting. Hot water a-plenty! Parking was directly outside cabin. Driving in and around park very easy. Staff friendly and helpful with enquiries. A great stay and much needed relaxation undertaken. The weather was a little disappointing but did not spoil our visit and we were able to get out and about and meet some wonderful people at other venues.

Suggest handrails in shower and to outside steps to front door, mainly for elderly people who are unsteady on feet.

The unit was very comfortable and way more than I expected from a holiday park unit. It had everything we needed and the location was great. Having a restaurant on site was a bonus though the kitchen was superbly equipped. Loved the small outdoor patio looking towards the beach. Parking right outside was so convenient.

The bathroom was tiny, especially the basin so it was awkward to use without splashing water on the floor. The park was very very crowded though.

Studio cabin, spacious & comfortable. Plenty of room for two people with lounge, indoor and outdoor tables, 2 TVs, a few drawers and some hanging. Close to all facilities and could see the bay from our cabin verandah. Really enjoyed this accommodation.

Minor things: Lack of utensils, nothing to use for the caravan park bbqs, e.g.no egg flip, no metal bbq tools other than a pair of tongs. Bathroom door couldn't be latched and kept opening.

Management and office staff were very helpful and welcoming from the moment we arrived until when we checked out. We stayed in a family cabin, and it was great. Plenty of room for all to sleep with a double bed, which was a generous sized double, and two sets of bunk beds. We stayed over Christmas, and on our way there I remembered I hadn't packed the baking pan and salad bowls, but that was okay, as the kitchen had all basics that we needed to get through Christmas day cooking. The cabin was fantastically clean when we arrived and huge bonus points as there were plenty of pillows. I use two, and it's frustrating when hotels only have one per person. Laundry had plenty of washing machines and dryers for use, and we never had to wait to use one. The cabin was located just near the childrens park and it was great being able to sit on the balcony and relax while still being able to watch the kids. The holiday park is very conveniently located just behind the pub, general store/fuel station and a Bakery as well as a five minute walk from the beach. Going back to the fact we were there over Christmas. 8:30 Christmas morning, Santa came around all the cabins/camp sites and handed out lollies. I thought that was a lovely thing to do as management/staff took time out of their day to bring a bit more Christmas cheer to the kids. Also, a shout out to the fire service for also visiting with Santa in the fire truck and handing out lollies. Our kids had a ball with Santa visiting twice. Overall, we're very happy with BIG4 Holiday Park and Coles Bay in general, and we'll be visiting again.

I was happy with everything, so I have no negative comments.

It is very spacious cabin and location is great very close to the village shops and beach walk.

The staff is not very friendly, could improve providing better customer service. The old lady in the hotel reception is very grumpy every day. Please be mindful visitors come all the way far be nice. Also the furniture is very out dated considering the cost per night worth over $300, the quality of interior could be improved.

The glamping tents are perfect. Comfortable, warm, extremely clean, fresh, modern and spacious. Electric fireplace added to the atmosphere and elegance of the tent. The staff here are so lovely and knowledgeable. Giving us great tips and places to visit. Close to a bay with wallaby’s and I hand fed birds from our tents balcony. No bright morning light. The tent stayed dark. Such a beautiful experience and great location.

TV didn’t work but only tried watching as were in bed falling asleep. Can hear neighbours and other campers but still not a bother. Loved this place
